South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to those who look after me and my friends during our stay at the Amber. I wanted to say a particular thankyou to Luiza who made us feel very comfortable and made our stay extra special. Luiza made us feel very welcome and as a result, I had the most incredible 18th Birthday. ☺️

This hotel is in a great position just off Oxford Street. All staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and could easily sleep 3/4 adults with everything you would need for an overnight stay, including a small mini bar with soft drinks and snacks included in the room price. The breakfast is plentiful and varied with something for everyone. Bar prices are reasonable. We will definitely be using this hotel again.

This is the first time staying at the Amber And we was not disappointed, this is a first class hotel in the heart of London, we was staying here for an anniversary treat and seeing a show in the evening, The staff are very polite and professional. We had to leave early the next morning and in our haste we forgot to pick up some my wife’s clothes, We rang the hotel the next morning and explain, they said it was no problem and sent them to us the very next day, We would definitely recommend the Amber and will be returning when in London.

We stayed in the king suite. The room have modern decoration with internet TV. There is also in-room iPad you can use. There are different type of power outlet on the wall for US electronic as well. All these high tech and modern things make my teen age kid loves this hotel so much. The king suite also has a sofa bed. The fridge has free drink and snacks. There was some issue with my shower but they fix it the same day I reported. You can also borrow some converter from them if you have more electronic items need to be charged at the same time. This saves me trouble to bring converter. The location is excellent. You can walk to National Gallery, big ban etc. We walk to Big ban then alone the river at sunset which is beautiful. This is probably the best time to take picture of big ban. The train and tub station is right underneath it. Make it very easy to go anywhere. There are market right underneath the hotel and near by where you can get food and personal items. The hotel is very quiet. The staff is very friendly. The free breakfast has standard hot English breakfast and bakery items. You can also order hot cereal. Highly recommend.

I stayed here with my partner in March 2016 for 2 nights as a birthday treat. All the staff at reception were very friendly and welcoming. Our server was very polite and asked us about our plans while we were in London. The room was very clean and with modern furnishings. We returned to the hotel in the evening after our trip out to find a birthday card, a bottle of champagne and chocolates to wish me a happy birthday. This little touch really made the trip special. We would highly recommend staying at Amber Hotel Charing Cross and we will definitely be returning next time we are in London!
