this hotel is right in the middle of a great area of london. I found it to be relatively safe, well appointed and the staff was very helpful in understanding both my business needs as well as my touring needs when free. The beds were very comfortable and the provided linens were super soft. My only complaint with the hotel... More

Great location! Tube stop is a block away. Grocery stores close by. Gym is has several treadmills with tvs attached. You need to go to front desk and sign a waiver to get a gym key. Food is good, but pricey....typical for London.

I spent a night in this hotel with my son for a father/son trip. *** Room *** We were in a standard room, so I was not expecting a big room. Indeed the room was not that big, enough to move around the beds if you are an average size. The room was perfectly cleaned and the two beds were... More

I have stopped at Holiday Inns all over the UK and this one is a little tired, the rooms were small but clean. We had a kings room executive so you would thought would have been bigger ?? not so. It could be that all rooms in hotels in London are small, so be aware of this? I had a... More

Good location near local attractions and travel. Room quiet, clean and tidy with a great view towards the center of London. We stayed so we could easily travel to West End Theatre in the evening. Breakfast had good selection and was hot. Would stay again another time..

It is fine for a night. Front desk staff little bit spacey... Room was already ready at 1pm though. I had asked for a high floor and got it. Starbucks coffee, restaurants, newsagent/souvenirs, ATM all onsite. Big lobby, big hotel. Downside is noisy air circulation system and faded carpets. Sliding door on bathroom... Hard to budge. Noisy from people in... More

I stayed in this hotel from 30 July-1 August and though I got a good deal from Hotels.com, the overall service had kept me wanting. The Superior room was cozy and clean but only meets a 3-star standard. The consolation was being on the 14th floor which gave us a pretty good view of the city skyline. The one thing... More

My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights in late July and were very impressed with the property. We spent a bit more and wanted a king sized bed for our trip and to our surprise this was noted to be an executive room that comes with entry to the executive lounge where you can catch a quick coffee,... We were booked into another hotel in Kensington for the night and it was absolutely awful. We were desperate, it was 9.45pm and we needed somewhere else to stay urgently. I made a quick booking to the only hotel I could find which was this one and walked the 7 minutes with my screaming 8 month old son and exhausted... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
