Great location for commuting, Natural History Museum, Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum are all in walking distance. Gloucester tube station is next door and several supermarkets around.Rooms are clean, breakfast is good but don't expect much in terms of hospitality as it is like a big factory. But would I stay there again? Yes I would.

Considering we had an upgrade to an executive room I'd hate to be in the cell that must be a standard room. It was ok albeit a bit dusty and the entire hotel could do with bringing up to date, but if left me wishing I'd paid the extra and gone to the Crowne Plaza across the road.

I usually stay in holiday Inn Bloomsbury but this time there were no rooms I did not enjoy the stay Smallest room with army size beds not according to my ihg wish list Shower stream was ridiculous slow No Only advantage was that the room was quiet and the location is very close to the tube station

Hotel location is nice, safe, close to the subway & decent restaurants. Staff could use some training. Felt like I was playing "Go Fish" with staff to figure out how to access hotel services such as business lounge, exercise room, lobby bar service, access to printer, wifi service. Nothing was explained or volunteered at check in or subsequent visits to... More

An great hotel that is close to all forms of transport - Gloucester Road tube station is just one block from the hotel and see's the 3 biggest tube lines pass through this station - Circle, District and Piccadilly lines - that will take you anywhere within central London quickly and efficiently. Also the Piccadilly line can take you to... More

Coming for LHR this hotel is probably at the 9th stop on the Piccadilly line. Even better, its just a two minute walk to the hotel from the tube stop. Its a 5 minute walk if you go the wrong way like I did. The hotel has Starbucks in the lobby and a wonderful breakfast. It was equipped with AC... More

Stayed for 2 nights in a standard room. Nothing really special about the room. It was clean and well maintained. No service to speak of. Had to take own luggage to room. Reasonable bar on ground floor which does reasonable food which is just as well as the restaurant(?) off the lobby is not very good.

Even on a Sunday itwas very busy. The 'pub' food prices in the bar were a bit steep -£20 for two halves of beer and two hotdogs! 10% service charge in that. - served with a flourish by two people and with grossly undercooked onions. the room was well up to standard with good air conditioning, but seemed to be... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
