At the Hilton London Olympia, guests have called out the convenient location near public transport and attractions as a significant plus. The service receives accolades for the staff's friendly and helpful demeanor, though experiences with service can be inconsistent. Cleanliness is satisfactory, with particular praise for well-maintained rooms and responsive housekeeping.
However, some travelers find the value questionable due to the hotel's outdated amenities and decor, cramped rooms, and occasional noise disturbances. Despite appreciating the varied breakfast and comfortable beds, the overall atmosphere is seen as needing rejuvenation.

Detailed Reviews
The hotel is located at the west end of High Street Kensington close to Olympia, about 30 minutes bus ride from Hyde Park Corner.
The staff and hotel certainly go the extra mile, and do everything to make guests welcome, and comfortable, whilst keeping them safe.
Being an older hotel the rooms are larger than many hotels in London, but sadly very dated. Recently some have been refurbished, and trying keep the ambience of the original style. The refurbished rooms are double glazed to keep the noise from the street out and are equipped with A/C, TV, tea and coffee facilities, bath and shower etc. As always at Hilton hotels the beds have high thread count cotton sheets are quite comfortable.
Upon arrival I received a warm welcome, I had checked in online before but sadly my room was not ready. The room I was given was very dated and the A/C was very noisy and quite ineffective, As a diamond Hilton Honours member, I received vouchers for drinks and snacks in the bar. The and restaurant is open throughout the day and the menu has a wide variety of dishes available.
Breakfast is excellent, a full buffet with a chef on duty to prepare omelettes etc. All the staff in the restaurant are attentive and helpful without being intrusive especially Samir and Karan who go above and beyond with first class service.
Currently transport connections to central London can be problematic depending on the time of day.

I was unable to checkin to my assigned room early so was asked to come back at 2.30pm. The hotel porter was friendly and helped me store my suitcase until checkin. The costa coffee mext door was busy. The hotel has a bar/restaurant upstairs from reception. When I came back at 2.30pm I was told my room was ready. The room was on the 1st floor facing a main road. I noticed there was a faulty window lock so there was noise and cold air coming from the window frame. The window frame also had black mould. See picture. I asked reception for another room and was told someone would be looking into the issue as there were no other rooms available at that time. Daniel the Duty Manager was very helpful in finding me another room as I was in urgent need to freshen up and change for an appointment at 5pm that day. So this review is on the room provided on the 4th floor. It had all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The quilt on the bed was very thin so I had to turn the heating up at night to stay warm. The usual Hilton small toiletries are provided in the bathroom. The bath had a shower but because there is no shower curtain (only a small screen) the bathroom floor gets very wet. See picture. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold options and fruit. There is a limited selection of teas. I asked for Earl Grey tea but was told they had run out. The small gymn is located in the basement and had towels, water cooler, two treadmills and a selection of cycling, free weights and weight machine. See picture. This hotel is not at the same standard as the modern Hilton airport hotels I have stayed in. If there is no need for a gym I would stay at the many other budget hotels in the area.

Have just come back from London. This is a nice hotel but the rooms are looking a bit jaded now. Beds are not the most comfortable however. Rooms had tea, coffee, hairdryer, safe, wardrobe with hangers. Towels were the softest I've ever felt in a hotel and were great. We were on floor 4 in room 4034 and the floor did have a funny stale smell. The view wasn't up to much either.
The bar area is serving most pints at ÂŁ7 per pint which is expensive but normal for London these days. The location is lovely with Holland Park only a 10 minute walk away. Some of the views of properties in the area are breathtaking. Breakfast is ÂŁ20 if not pre booked but there's plenty of places on Kensington High Street to eat instead. I'd highly recommend Balans. An uber to Terminal 5 at Heathrow was ÂŁ54 and took 40 minutes. This cost us ÂŁ150 room only per night. I would stay here again.

The property is good if you want this location. However, the property is seriously showing its age and there is something going on on the floor I stayed in (4th) where there’s a nasty smell in the halls that is something like vomit or sour milk gone into the carpets a few times I returned to my room and had to open windows to air the smell out. The showers have great water pressure and I’m sure I benefited from a microdermabrasion effect that has take some years off my skin! It was hard to have a shower and not have the water spraying all over the floor so that was annoying. Don’t be fooled by the name, the Hilton family would
not stay here. Ha ha. The plugs were only at the desk so hard to charge a phone in bed. And the breakfast buffet was nice for business but the regular restaurant service was seriously lacking and the food was awful. Particularly in the realm of seafood, the fish there is not being served from fresh and the smell lets you know. The location to high street is fine but if you can afford to shop the high street you can afford a more comfortable stay. We would not stay there again. Next time we will taxi from a more easier to access area of town and locate ourselves nearer to the attractions. As it were, we spent a fortune on cabs to get into the theatre area and anywhere else because transit is difficult from this area of town. On the plus side, housekeeping was swift and the tv was a great size.

I remember a time when the name Hilton meant high standards in hospitality. It seems that this is no longer the case.
I stayed at this hotel for one night, which was more than enough for me. The on-site parking, while thankfully provided, will run you 37 pounds a day to utilize. So if you're from out of town or have a rental, add that to your calculations. Breakfast is also not included in the price of your stay and will cost another 16 pounds extra. One almost gets the distinct feeling that the Hilton is going through some financial troubles, thus the need to nickel and dime its customers.
For all these extra charges, it seems the money isn't going into the betterment of your stay here. With their non-functioning elevators, please enjoy trudging your luggage through their maze-like hallways and staircases. The keycards for the rooms are cheaply made and will stop working if held too close to your phone, so bear that in mind. Also, there were no outlets near the beds in the rooms for some reason, though it seemed there was once an outlet where it is now a plastic cover. You can charge your phone at the desk but don't even think about charging it anywhere near you while you're sleeping. The decor looks like something straight out of a 1970s HGTV and the bathroom had a faint smell of mildew.
It seems to me that the Hilton, which once stood for luxury, is going through some financial straights. Thoughts and prayers.

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel and were very satisfied. The rooms are a bit old, therefore also 1 star deduction.
The room was clean and has been thoroughly cleaned every day. We especially liked the queen size bed with a duvet. Breakfast was excellent. There was a wide selection and the staff made sure that the buffet never looked “eaten”. Generally, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The biggest asset, however, is the situation. Bus 9 takes 10 minutes to Hammersmith or Kensington Tube station or Kensington Palace/HydePark, 15 minutes to Harrods, 20 minutes to Hyde Park Corner or Wellington Arch, 25 minutes to Piccadilly Circus and 30 minutes to Trafalgar Square. And all for £1.75. In the evening, however, you should plan much more time for Picadilly.
A little tip: You can simply hold a credit card to the yellow card reader when you get on the bus so you don't need an OysteCard.
All in all, we were very happy with the hotel and would love to come back.

The hotel is located directly on several bus routes. One of them goes straight to the centre. The room is large by London standards, was clean, and had very good beds. The air conditioning was easy to adjust. I can recommend the hotel to anyone who has no demands on the bathroom with toilet and shower. The sink had 2 separate water levers but no drain plug. The building engineer tried to fix this, but to no avail. I was able to help myself by putting a drinking glass upside down over the drain and turning both taps fully on. There was no toilet brush by the toilet. When asked about this, the reception staff said that in Hilton hotels it is not expected that guests clean the toilet themselves. Room service would do that. I asked them whether they would come at 10 a.m. if necessary, they said no. If there are several people in a hotel room, you may want to keep the toilet area clean. So the only thing left was the shower hose and shower head as a makeshift. Showering meant that you had to be extremely careful not to scald yourself or take an ice-cold shower. The faucet was a joke. After showering, half the bathroom was under water because the drain didn't work properly. We still managed everything in youth hostel style, ignoring the fact that "Hilton" was written outside the hotel entrance.

Many ways to get there, personally I go picadilly tube line to earl’s court and walk 10 minutes. Sometimes I catch number 30 bus outside king’s cross then change to 205 which drops me off outside the hotel. However, the bus takes a while and goes the scenic route. Hope that helps
The upgraded rooms have several usb connectors
Our family room only had one larger double and sofa bed which was particularly small. It may be better asking for a connecting room which they have.
Breakfast is a full buffet with a chef on duty Mon - Fri 7-10am
Not sure on cost , but it’s a very tight underground carpark.
