I have stayed here a good few times over the past 20 years and did so again at the weekend, for the first time with my family. We chose to stay here as we think it is very good value for money and the location is brilliant with the Gloucester Road Tube station about 25 yards from the hotel entrance. Quick and easy access to the museums is also a great bonus.
The staff were all very polite and efficient, going out of their way to make us feel welcome and catered for, with Ali on the concierge desk always ready to help.
The food at the buffet breakfast is above the standard we have experienced in other similar level hotels and the service area and dining area were really clean.
Our room was dated in terms of the style but the room was in good condition with all the little extras that make you feel at home and I can't fault it for cleanliness or comfort.
All in all a really good stay and we would recommend this hotel to all.

The entrance and concierge are top class and welcoming, with decadent furnishings and lots of staff available. We stayed for 2 nights to meet up with friends over a weekend and were initially impressed with the quality of the hotel. Unfortunately the standard of the rooms let the hotel down with a queen sized bed but only a king size flat sheet that became untucked as soon as you sat on the bed... the bathroom was tired and crowded with an overbath shower that was high to climb into. The shower was nice and powerful but that was the best bit about the bathroom... with a damaged cheap plywood panel finishing the side of the bath and a sticker telling you that a heated towel rail was not a heated towel rail..... hint being the electrical cable and thermostat... but obviously broken and cheaper to put a sticker on the wall than fix it. The decoration in the room is generally nice with a large scenic photograph of London covering a feature wall, but repairs have been done on the cheap and are obvious and lacking in skill. Overall I would rate the room experience on a par with a tired Premier Inn which is not inkeeping with the experience when you enter the hotel.
We didn't eat in the hotel so I can not comment on the food, but on coming in from an evening out we were going to have a nightcap in the onsite bar, but found that it had already closed. It was after 1130 (and probably publicised in the information), but most hotels I have stayed in in large cities have had the bar open until the early hours and this brought a premature end to the evening. Overall an average experience, but the staff and the entrance are amazing.

We used the hotel to book end our trip abroad. Having stayed here before I booked the Family Room as it gave the two of us plenty of space. The rooms were both well appointed with mini fridge if you want to shop for snacks/drinks - although room service is available.

This has become my go to hotel tbh. It's in a great location, next door to Gloucester Rd tube station and plenty of shops/restaurants and within a short walk to museums.

Staff on the whole are very friendly. Shout out to Fernando on the desk who was lovely and v helpful.

The order site is designed in a way that makes it easy to accidentally order two or more rooms, which happened to me. I sent multiple emails but received no response. In the end, I was able to cancel one of the bookings—I was lucky not to have accidentally booked two prepaid rooms. After that, I kept receiving emails with different order numbers, which left me feeling uncertain about whether I had accidentally placed a double order. On Sunday, our room wasn’t cleaned until 8 PM, and we didn’t receive any compensation for it. This has happened to me at other hotels before, but I always received some form of compensation—whether a glass of beer or even a full dinner. I was surprised by the attitude at the Gloucester Millennium Hotel. Two years ago, I visited London and stayed at a three-star hotel, where the facilities were better than those at the four-star Gloucester Millennium Hotel. This was a huge surprise during my stay at hotel

We've stayed at this hotel a couple of times when visiting London, mainly due to its fantastic location just opposite Gloucestershire Road Tube station. As well as being a hotel, this is a conference centre so can by quite busy with people coming and going, especially in the reception area. Check-in was smooth and quick, and there were plenty of staff around to deal with the volume of visitors and guests. The room was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our one night stay. Luggage storage was available so that we could leave our luggage after check out and continue exploring London. This hotel can be a bit pricey, but so far, we've always been able to get it on offer via one of the usual discount sites; making it affordable and reasonably priced for London. There's plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance of this hotel.

Just returned from a week's stay at the Millennium Gloucester. We arrived a bit early and our room was not ready, but it was quite easy to leave our bags and set off exploring. Many sights are within walking distance: Natural History Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, Kensington Palace and Gardens, as well as shopping. The tube station is directly across the road, and the Piccadilly Line comes directly from Heathrow (and takes you right into the heart of the city). Our room was a family room with 3 twin beds which suited our family perfectly. The 3 beds mean that the only other seating is one desk chair, but we didn't spend that much time in the room anyway. The beds were very comfortable. There is a mini-fridge and an electric kettle for tea and instant coffee. There are also some drawers, a desk, and a closet with hangers, an iron, and a small safe. The room was very clean. The bathroom was a bit small but clean and functional. The only thing I didn't care for was the tub/shower. The tub has a very high wall to step over (could be difficult if you have mobility issues), and the tub is also slanted towards the drain end, requiring one to stand on a rubber mat to avoid slipping. The tub/shower has only a partial glass enclosure, so you have to shower carefully to not splash water into the rest of the bathroom. Gel soap and shampoo are supplied, but no conditioner, hand lotion, or tissues are given. While there seems to be a buffet breakfast, I could find no information anywhere regarding the cost or offerings. Perhaps this must be reserved while booking the room? Instead we walked across the street to Pret each morning for a coffee and croissant. All in all, it was a very nice stay in an extremely convenient location.

Upon arrival, I was welcomed by the hotel staff and offered and given a room upgrade. The suite I was given was excellent, and even at the regular price would have seemed pretty good value for money.

The hotel and rooms were clean, the shower had good pressure and my wife loved the White Company shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and moisturizer in our room. The bathtowels and bed linen were also excellently soft and comfortable, well above the standard of what I would have expected at the price.

The staff were extremely friendly quick to help with any queries and efficient when checking in. It was a shame that I already had dinner because I've always wanted at the hotel's Singapore themed restaurant.

I've seen some comments about the hotel being dated. This is only true insofar as the design is conservatively modern. The furniture is in excellent condition, does not feel worn or dated at all and the bed and wallpaper seemed mostly relatively new and modern.

The suite was excellently clean, beautiful and my only regret is that after checking in well past 9pm and checking out just before 7am the next morning I had little time to enjoy the benefits of the upgrade.

The location near Gloucester Read tube station is also excellent, barely a 2 minute walk to the station.

We recently stayed at the Millennium Hotel and Conference Centre Gloucester London for 11 nights. Our stay suited our visit to London with the Hotel location being handy to museums, Kensington Gardens and other attractions. Gloucester Road Underground Station is a quick 2 minute walk away making connections to all parts of London and Heathrow logistically simple.
Check-in was seamless although we had to wait several hours to access our room as our early morning flight meant we arrived at the hotel shortly after 9.00am. Staff were happy to store our luggage. We had booked a Deluxe Double Room which, at 3pm check-in, we were told was still not ready. We were offered a room with 2 beds instead of the double which we accepted. We don't know, however, if it was a Deluxe as per our reservation. The room was pleasantly presented and similar to some standard photos per the website. We understood we had booked a city view room. Our room had a 'view' of other rooms and roof tops - certainly not any city or street views. The bathroom was dated, shabby and had cracked floor tiles. We had been expecting a fresher refurbished room and yet the bathroom seems to have been missed during any refurbishments. During the course of our stay we asked several times for our room to be cleaned/made up. Each time towels were replaced and beds were tidied, and that really was the extent of any housekeeping of our room. We had to follow up with requests for toilet paper. Not once, during our 11 night stay was the room vacuumed or dusted, nor was the bed linen changed despite our verbal requests. After each request we were assured it would be done, but still nothing. In the end we just gave up asking. The information sheet we were handed on check-in stated bed linen would be changed every 3 days (if I recall correctly). Unfortunately this was not our experience. We found staff to be friendly and polite to our faces, but in fact really didn't care at all.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. I’m glad to hear that you found our location convenient for your visit to London and that the initial check-in process was smooth. However, I sincerely apologize for the disappointing housekeeping experience you had during your stay. It is concerning to hear that the cleanliness and upkeep of your room did not meet expectations, particularly regarding the lack of vacuuming, dusting, and linen changes. This is certainly not the standard we strive to maintain, and I will be addressing these issues with our housekeeping team to ensure this does not happen again. I also apologize for the confusion regarding your room type and the view you received. We will look into the matter to ensure all guest requests are properly met moving forward. Your feedback is invaluable, and I truly appreciate you bringing these issues to my attention. I hope we can have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide a much improved experience in the future. Best regards, Chris van Dam General Manager

We had great expectations about our stay in this hotel, set in a great location only about a 2 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station, check in was slick and easy but that is where it ended. The room we got was very dated, lots of condensation on the window which wasn't a good sign, the bathroom was quiet small for a hotel of it's quality, no bottle water in the room, the bed was very comfy.

We went to breakfast next morning and we were not allowed into the breakfast room as we didn't have have enough 'breakfast vouchers' to enter the breakfast area, we got these paper vouchers on check in but left them up in the room after us. I told the girl we paid for breakfast when we booked, and check our room number but she was very rude and insisted I go back to my room and get this piece of paper to allow me eat a breakfast I already paid for - this is 2024 needing to produce a piece of paper is a joke for a 4 star hotel.

Even when I gave her my vouchers she didn't acknowledge me or say thanks, a very rude individual. The breakfast in itself was average not very hot I went for the sausages, bacon etc luke warm at most which was disappointing. I wanted to order pancakes - but was told I had to pay extra - I politely refused as we have already paid for breakfast - we have stayed in 4 & 5 star hotels all over the world never been asked to pay extra for breakfast that we already paid for.

Next morning we got down - another issue - we were left short of breakfast vouchers by one - and again we were not allowed in so I had to go to reception ask for a breakfast voucher was told I got them all when I checked in - I said I was short one and showed her my booking that we had paid for breakfast, you would think I was trying to scam a breakfast from her, she very reluctantly handed me a voucher with no thanks or anything very rude again, seems to be the norm in this hotel.

Most definitely not be recommending or returning to this hotel again.

There are some positives to this hotel. The location in terms of proximity to the tube and other places of interest is great. All easy walking distance. And the reception/lobby area looks clean and welcoming and staff are friendly. The room we had was also spacious. However… the aircon even when set at the lowest option blew only warm air all night. It’s our preference to have a cool room at night so this really was a struggle. While the bed itself was comfortable the pillows felt like sleeping on bricks. And the soundproofing is non existent. Guests opening doors to nearby rooms felt like our door was wide open. You could hear voices from adjacent rooms and poor soundproofing of street noise. Again felt like the window was open. Overall clean the room felt a little tired and could benefit from a refresh

I am surprised that members have said not to stay here. It is a very well run hotel and perfectly nice for a stay in centrally in London. Very close to underground for ease off travelling around London to see the sights. I wouldn't book via the ship but would book directly with the hotel. It will be cheaper that way.

If you are booking thru NCL on pre-cruise stay, the answer is yes, they had a car and driver waiting for us (just like on the movies a guy standing with a NCL placket with my name on it), if you booked it yourself then you can catch a Uber/taxi or take the subway right to the hotel!
