Lovely hotel two minutes away from the Albert Hall. Only draw back no tea making facilities in the room but were available in the guest lounge. If you have a deal that includes breakfast take proof as we had to show it to the reception staff othwise without we would have had to pay!!

Love this hotel. Perfect location if going to the Albert hall as we were or shopping in Knightsbridge - hotel is romantic, staff are efficient and friendly, food was great. We had a twin with two little 4 poster beds - so cute - will be staying here again.

We stayed at The Gore for only one night but enjoyed its location, friendly staff, excellent amenities and grand Tudor Room. Check in was warm and friendly, the concierge was helpful and knowledgable and showed us to our room without revealing the hidden door to the bathroom, as requested! The Tudor room is fun, large sofas, comfortable bed and a...

A perfect location for a night at the Albert Hall. Staff were very welcoming and provided a top rate service our concierge Trevor was very knowledge and helpful. The room was quirky and traditional we were in 501 which is a room on its own up in the roof top very quiet and perfect for an overnight stay. The 190...

The staff were extremely pleasant, the room fabulous and the location perfect. Faultless is not a word often used when describing a visit to a hotel (which I do frequently) but in the case, it is entirely justified.

The gore it located in a quiet area, very close to the big museums of London. The building is old and very well kept. The decor in each room and in the guests room and dining room is classic victorian with a lot of character. Rooms are wide and generous in space. There is a room that Judy Garland used...

Great service, friendly staff, a beautiful and historical hotel with lovely facilities. Small enough to be be personal, large enough to cater for a travelling party, family or group of friends. A lovely meeting lounge offering complimentary teas and coffee, a nice lounge bar with a fabulous selection of beverages. Fantastic location. I cannot reccomend this hotel enough - a...

The gore feels like one is stepping back in time but in a good way. We stayed in a deluxe room. Bed was small but very comfy with good linens. Furnishing were luxurious but TV small and basic and no tea or coffee in room however freely supplied in lounge down stairs. Bathroom had great shower over bath and lovely...

Really enjoyable stay, perfectly located for the Royal Albert Hall. Lovely hotel, did not use the bar but looked very nice. Only issue was my email and nationality was wrong on my check in form. Invoice tried to charge me for breakfast even though it was included. Very happy though with our stay, good staff even if a bit flustered...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
