Nestled in a prime location near parks and museums, The Milestone Hotel and Residences is lauded for its warm, welcoming atmosphere and impeccable British charm. While some guests find the rooms a bit snug, the comfort and unique design receive high praise. The Stables Bar and exceptional service are notable highlights, and the hotel's cleanliness stands out with special mentions of housekeeping's efficiency.
Though it commands a premium price, many travelers see the value in its luxury and attentive service. However, the spa area has been noted as in need of a refresh.

We arrived at The Milestone Hotel after a red-eye flight a couple hours before our official check-in time. Immediately after unloading my wife's wheelchair, we were guided to the accessible entrance by the attentive doorman, who laid out the folding ramps and helped us navigate the beautifully historic hotel. Since we were early, our room was understandably not quite ready, so the welcoming and attentive Rumain at the front desk assured us that housekeeping was prioritizing our room and recommended we enjoy breakfast in the tea room adjacent to the lobby while we wait.
We would enjoy breakfast at the hotel over the next few days as part of our overall package, and each meal was delicious, satisfying, and served quickly by the skilled servers who were perfectly attentive at taking our orders, refilling our beverages, and, clearing our plates. I recommend the Eggs Royale!
Following our meal, we were informed that the hotel had, extremely generously, upgraded our room to the junior suite and were personally escorted, by Rumain, up to the beautifully appointed room that was far beyond our expectations. Our suite featured both a sitting room and bedroom, separated by a door. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of space for us, our luggage, and wheelchair. The bedroom is cozy with plenty of space to spread out, and the bathroom is large with a tub, shower, and double sink.
We were also lucky enough to enjoy an afternoon tea service at the hotel, where we were served our choice of tea as well as several freshly made sandwiches and pastries, all of which were delicious and satisfying as a meal in itself, so much so that we took some leftovers back to our room to enjoy later.
The hotel is also within walking distance to several Underground stations, restaurants, shops, and attractions, including Hyde Park just across the street. We enjoyed a scenic walk to and from the Victoria and Albert Museum through quaint residential areas.
I don't think we could have been happier with our experience at The Milestone Hotel. Not only is the building and its rooms beautiful, but they are clearly maintained with great care by the entire staff, who can and should take great pride in the experience they provide to guests. I would not hesitate to recommend The Milestone to anyone wanting to have an incredible time in London, as it was certainly part of ours. Our only regret is that we didn't have enough time to enjoy more of the amenities and experiences the hotel has to offer.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at the lovely Milestone Hotel, July 23rd-26th, 2023. It more than exceeded our expectations! Prior to arriving in London, my husband had been in Liverpool with friends for The Open and I had been in The Lake District with friends. We planned to meet in London for a few days before returning home. My train on July 23rd was cancelled due to flooding on the tracks which led to a very long day of transfers by taxi from one train station to the next. I finally made it to Euston Station on the evening of July 23rd. When I arrived by taxi to The Milestone, I was greeted by the lovely receptionist who told me we had been upgraded to The Hermes Suite - this was music to my ears, especially after the trying day of travel. My husband was waiting for me in our gorgeous suite, along with a lovely bottle of champagne, fruit, and cheese. We immediately ordered room service, which was delicious. After dinner in our room, I indulged with a good long bath in the stunning marble soaking tub!! What started out being a rather stressful day ended with luxury and relaxation - just what I needed! Our remaining days in London and at The Milestone were wonderful. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and the staff were fabulous! Our trip ended with a very early morning transfer to Heathrow provided by the hotel - we were given morning coffee and a box of delicious fresh baked pastries to take in the car!

Absolutely outstanding hotel in beautiful Kensington! The Milestone Hotel was fantastic from the moment we walked in the door. Steve, our doorman, was the most attentive I've ever seen at a hotel. You are given a tour of the entire bottom floor and the amenities, and then walked to your room where you are shown how everything works. Coming from America, that tends to be helpful! The hotel was beautiful, comfortable and the staff is on call 24/7 for anything you may need. The housekeeping staff is attentive to your needs, but will not disturb you if you haven't left your room yet in the morning. The bar was under construction, however, they had another room set up as a quaint bar with a fireplace and Angelo, the bar manager, was friendly as well as competent at making any drinks you could want. I actually loved the intimacy of the bar area, even though they said it was temporary. Unfortunately, we had made so many plans that we didn't get to enjoy their dining room except for breakfast. My husband had a full English breakfast and loved it. The hotel is located across the street from Kensington Gardens and it's just a short walk to view the palace. Harrod's and other upscale shopping is within walking distance, and there are many hidden gems of little restaurants hidden among the streets. This area is where all the consulates are located and many of the Embassy heads are housed nearby, making it a VERY safe neighborhood, not to mention beautiful. We will definitely stay at the Milestone on our next visit to London. If you are looking for an upscale, boutique hotel with outstanding service in a great location that is a little more quiet than in the heart of the hustle and bustle, this is for you!

The service and attention to detail at the Milestone was outstanding. From our checkin to our departure- we were made to feel welcomed and that nothing was a bother. The doormen and concierge’s provided expert advice on bus and train use and ordered the odd taxi and chatted to us. The room house keeping - they gave us ties for charging cord to keep them neat, ensured that we had turn down service, on the second night we had flowers in the room also. The experience of this hotel was so welcoming I would recommend to anyone wanting old world charm and services. Thank you to the entire team.

High quality old school hospitality. Very good location. The hotel has an elegant and classic decor. The building is beautiful. The hotel staff, especially the Junior manager and the concierge Steve, were very kind and attentive, always very helpful, making our experience even better!! The room is spacious, with a mini fridge, very comfortable bed, large and soft towels. We were treated to personalized heart-shaped macarons, beautiful and very delicious for Valentine’s Day. Every day, they left water and sweets in the room, as well as a candle in the bathtub. The cleaning service was impeccable, towels were always changed and the bathroom always remained clean. Anyway, I could talk about many more qualities... That's why I definitely recommend it as an excellent accommodation in London. We'll be back soon!!

I took a six-week, solo trip to London during September and October 2024, and stayed at The Milestone Hotel for the entire time. My stay was exemplary in every way. The hotel is lovely, with real British charm and luxurious furnishings. Perfect Kensington High Street location - quiet and convenient - near shops and restaurants and across the street from beautiful Kensington Palace Gardens. I loved my large Studio room, with very comfortable bed and sitting area. The Milestone seriously became my home away from home.
The fabulous staff were always available and seemed to genuinely care about my comfort and well-being. Everyone in Concierge (led by George) and Reception (led by Arella and Zen) was always willing to do anything to enhance my stay. Doormen (Tim and Steve) had great senses of humor, wished me well when I would leave the hotel for the day and always said “welcome home” when I returned (a small but meaningful touch).
I loved my many evenings relaxing in both the hotel restaurant (thanks Angelos and Sylvia) and the hotel bar (thanks Angelo and team of exceptional bartenders). Ending a busy day in lovely, cozy surroundings with great food and drinks and with people who had become friends was exactly what I wanted. I ordered daily breakfast and an occasional evening snack from Room Service, which had an expansive menu and was always a treat.
I also had very positive experiences with Housekeeping and Maintenance. A call to housekeeping or maintenance with a minor question would have someone at my door in literally five minutes or less...amazing.
I had originally considered moving to another hotel half-way though the trip, just to have a different experience in London. I looked – but couldn’t find – anything close to the warmth, special charm, and convenient location of The Milestone. I was very sad to say my good-byes at the end of the trip and am already looking forward to returning next year!

We just spent 4 nights at the Milestone Hotel in Kensington. The stay didn’t start well when we discovered our Deluxe King room was super tiny and looked nothing like the photos on the booking.com site, which describes this class of rooms as “larger than usual” for London and 23m2. When I raised it with reception, she acted immediately and offered to move us to a slightly larger room on a different floor. It was bigger in size but lacked the same closet space as the tinier room so there was only one tiny closet for us both. I think the two rooms we were in should not probably not be classified as Deluxe King but should be the standard queen size room. Other than this minor mishap, which was handled quickly and relatively well, we really enjoyed our stay at the Milestone. It’s in a great area, within walking distance of the tube stations and bus stands. The staff are fantastic, particularly the doormen, concierge and dining room staff. We loved our breakfasts (make sure you include breakfast in your room bookings as they are otherwise very expensive) as there was a wide selection of dishes available. The desk staff are also very helpful. The hotel is quaint and has charm though I do think it is due for an update soon. There was also an unexpected service charge of GBP 20 per night. Those charges seem to be all the range right now as I was hit with those in a recent US stay (“resort fee”). I really wish it would just be included so there is transparency in pricing.

We travelled from Dubai for a December holiday in the UK, with a short stay in London at the end.
Milestone is by far the best hotel we have stayed at, and that comes from a person who has clocked in 1000+ nights in various hotels over the last 10 years.
What stood out for us: 1. Personal touch: From the doorman to the concierge to the bar staff, every single member of staff made an effort to remember our names and called us by name every time
2. Attention to the smallest of details: spectacular housekeeping and turn down service; for example they wrapped our electronics cables with cable ties to make the room tidy, or they lit a candle in the bath tub every night. They did not forget to restock a single item, it was sheer perfection
3. Food: Exquisite food, especially the breakfast. We are on a healthy diet and their selection catered to those who prefer to indulge and those who want to be healthy
4. Catering to requests: we wanted off menu items which they happily provided us to the room
5. Comfort: the mattress and bed linen was high quality, pillows were the kind you can sink into and the bathroom has very high quality soft towels
We will certainly return and would recommend this hotel to anyone who values the small extra touches and high quality service that is certainly a cut above the rest.

The Milestone is a boutique hotel in the High Kensington area with great attention to detail and well connected. The strong points are attentive and kind service, the beautiful breakfast room and the excellent restaurant. I stayed in a deluxe room, the spaces are just enough in my opinion; There is no power socket for the hairdryer in the bathroom and the bidet, but there is a shower. The rooms are rather quiet, although you can often hear banging due to the spring-loaded opening and closing. There is also no choice of pillows and upon departure I found a room service charge not indicated at check in, just as the type of room where I stayed was not indicated. All in all a pleasant experience perhaps even worth repeating

From the moment we stepped out of the luxury car that the Milestone arranged to pick us up from the airport, we were greeted by the smiling doorman dressed in finery who helped us with our luggage and opened the front door each and every time we left or entered this charming hotel.
At check-in we were greeted by a elegantly dressed young man and the manager Fran. We had arrived very early in the morning and were quite tired. Fran checked our bags and offered the spa area to change if we wished.
We had breakfast in the lounge and after a short time were shown to our splendid room by Fran. Wow! If you want to experience luxury and spotless accommodations, the Milestone is the hotel to stay at.
The king bed was like falling into a cloud, the bathtub was deep with endless hot water, the bath robes soft and the bath products lovely.
There are very few hotels like this left and if you want to experience something exceptional, stay at the The Milestone in Kensington, London UK

When you check.in the hotel, a member of staff will show you round the hotel. When they take you to your room, they will show you where everything us including the tea and coffee facilities which was a tray and kettle with biscuits. I was also told that somebody will bring a drink to my room in the morning at whatever time I wanted and which type of drink I wanted (in my case a double expresso with hot milk) at no extra charge. You will love the Milestone for their service to their guests
