The hotel were unable to accommodate us in July due to COVID-19 which we understand was completely out of their control. As we are overseas travellers and the hotel could not accommodate us were expecting our deposit to be refunded, but no! Our booking was transferred to 12 months time without any confirmation with us and at this stage we cannot travel and probably will not be travelling to the UK in 12 months. If we cancelled could completely understand but the hotel was closed to visitors during our booked dates we should get a FULL refund.
I really appreciated this charming and cosy place. I also enjoyed the courtesy of the tenant. The breakfast was limited but sufficient. Moreover, it's location is quite perfect if you want to get to the center of the city. Nice experience.
Lovely unique and original hotel, great size rooms with en suite, towels bathrobes and toiletries provided, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space too. Friendly staff and 24 hr reception. Adequate breakfast with hot food made to order. Great location for Portobello Rd market and shops. Underground station and bus stops at the end of the road. Fab for getting wherever you want to visit.
I visit London every July and December, and have stayed in a variety of hotels and I have to say Abbey Court is now my favourite! A minute's walk from Notting Hill Gate tube station, it's a charming, grade 2 listed, Victorian town-house, and a far cry from the soulless hotel chains where every room is the same. Abbey Court has 22 individual rooms, spread over 5 floors, and It's lovely and quiet. There is no lift, but it clearly states that on the website, so it certainly wasn't a problem. The staff are lovely. The charming receptionist upgraded me to a double as the singles were all taken, and I was utterly delighted with my room. Breakfast was in a light and airy conservatory, and everything was fresh and delicious, and served with a cheery "Good morning". I enjoyed my stay here so much that I cancelled the hotel I'd already booked for December and booked the Abbey Court instead. Looking forward to returning!…
I stayed here with my mother on our weekend trip to London. The hotel is charming and the staff great. It is clean and the breakfast is decent. A huge draw was the location and the hotels' proximity to popular shopping in Notting Hill and the short walk to the tube station. I liked it so much I decided to come back with my little brother a month later.
