Beautifully presented older style hotel located in a beautiful area of Notting Hill / Kensington. The staff were friendly and accomodating. We had a spacious room with traditionally styled furniture and our four posted bed was a winner, unfortunately there was no A/C however the fans worked a treat and we could open the windows if needed and were fortunate... The staff at the hotel were very friendly and polite. Ideal location for underground, a nice quiet street just off the main road. Lovely old traditional building, just a shame the room didn't live upto expectations. The place could do with a good lick of paint to say the least. Reading other reviews it looks like you should avoid room... More

We recently stayed 4 nights at the Abbey Court Notting Hill. It is in a very convenient location, just down the road for Notting Hill Gate tube station, round the corner from Portobello Rd and a short walk to Kensington Gardens. The staff were very pleasant and eager to help in any way. We were staying during a warm patch... More

I stay here every time I go to London. Charming boutique hotel - only around 20 rooms - , free internet on desktop in lobby (big plus for me), steps from the Tube, good/safe neighborhood, friendly accommodating staff. You can walk to the Portobello Market and many restaurants and shops. The hotel is in a 1860 townhome - each room... More

What a great place to stay. Very lovely hotel right near the Notting Hill Gate tube station which was super convenient. The hotel was in a very nice and in a safe part of town. The rooms were nicely furnished and quiet. Restaurants, and pubs were right down the street only a couple of minutes away. The staff was friendly... More

Very clean and wonderful day staff, but they really need to upgrade to some sort of AC as the fan they supplied didn't help at all.We were there on the hottest day on record I believe so not complaining. Very close to tube and bus lines and very peaceful and quiet at night. Rooms were large and cozy. There are... More

We chose this hotel due to its very close proximity( less than 5 minute walk) to the Notting Hill Gate tube station and because it was nearby the Portobello Road Market. It's also just a fifteen-twenty minute walk down lovely Kensington Church Street to Kensington High Street with its many shops and restaurants. We stayed two different weekends, the first... More

Spent two days on a business trip. I got a double room, really big (and with cookies). Clean and fresh - and a big plus for big soft towels and very comfy bed. Really friendly staff and great service! Breakfast was good - continental with made-to-order extras, served in a cosy little garden room. That said, the hotel could use... More

Chosen because of good reviews, I certainly wasn't disappointed. From the warm welcome and helpful staff to the cleanliness and comfort of the room, I can't criticize much except the tight seating arrangement in the conservatory dining room. I probably had the best sleep in any hotel I've stayed in and the area itself is very safe and as a... More

I liked the hotel: starting form the position. Very easy to reach, 2 minutes form the closest tube station. Then - it all depends what you are looking for. There is no elevator, the room (I was under the roof) doesn't have an air conditioning (but it was not all that hot when I was there). But you have a... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighborhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighborhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
