Ok there is no other way to put this, but the only thing this hotel has going for itself is the location. The rooms are closets. I walked into my room to find that someone had smoked in there, and was later moved to another room. There is no space in this hotel. If you don't mind staying in a... More

Nice hotel with friendly staff, small room for a double but at the price I cant argue, the only downside on my visit was when I went to the Hudson bar within the hotel, I had to witness an eastern European barman having an argument which I guess was his supervisor/manager, the said barman was raising his voice and swearing... My wife and I along with 2 friends chose St Giles as it was close to The Queens Theatre where we had tickets for Les Mis on 31st January. The room that we was allocated was number 385 and had to request a move due to what appeared to be mould\damp on the skirting boards and the vent above the... More

Look it's not the Savoy but you are paying peanuts! For this location in London and the price my expectations were very low. I was pleasantly surprised. Location is it's selling point. This is a crash pad for those seeing London. Clean, functional, comfy bed and friendly staff. 3 days was probably max I could do with room size but... More

I have stayed here as the union books this hotel for conferences that are held at TUC - so I have stayed here quite a few times. the rooms are small and need seriously updating and refreshing - all the rooms I have stayed in have a horrible damp smell and not fresh - you have little or no toiletries... Stayed here overnight prior to an early morning meeting. It does have a very impressive reception area when you arrive and maybe lulls you into a false sense of expectation as, to me, that was really the only time I was impressed. The room I was give (a double) was pretty small, did not have a window (had what looked... More

2nd visit and it is what it is. Just great value in a great location. Easy to get to all the main London spots. Euston, St Pancras, Kings Cross, Leicester Square, Oxford Street, Regent Street, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly. Maybe the bathroom needs a tweek of sealant in places or a scrub on the floor behind the toilet but the... More

If you are looking for somewhere to just get your head down on a night and be central to everything this is a great choice for you. Right next to Tottenham Court road Tube station and basically on Oxford Rd. Breakfast is like school lunchtime and with many foreigners and zero manners can turn into chaos so get down early... I wanted to find somewhere cheap to stay that was in Central London as me and my girlfriend went to see a musical. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for couples (very basic and dated), but it was a good hotel right next to Tottenham Court Road tube station. It seems it would be a good hotel for business trips. Overall... More

Location is perfect for tube station, walking, shopping, theater, some Universities. But rooms are very small. No WI-FI in rooms, which to a greater extent reduces the reputation of the hotel. Linen is not good. The toilet flash didn't work properly.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
