I have stayed at this hotel around 8/9 times now and have always been really impressed by everything but this time I feel like I've been a little let down. 3 days before arrival I had over £100 taken by the St Giles as a 'pre-authorisation'. When I queried why this had been done (never had it before at this... More

Well, it´a not easy to decide whether to recommend this hotel or not. Let´s start with the pros: - very friendly staff (reception and housekeeping) - room has been cleaned very well - the location is awesome (3-4min to Tottenham Court Road station) - there are many shops around the hotel (food, electronics ....) - free coffee and tea in... Nothing fancy but a very good comfortable hotel, bits and bobs let it down in some areas like ice machines not working or unable to supply the demand, rooms are hot and no air con NO ROOM SERVICE. In saying this the staff were very friendly and helpeful when they could be and the location of the hotel and price... More

Very nice hotel and comfortable. The staff was really good. The hotel is very well placed if you are spending your days in central London. Very good breakfast lounge. The room we stayed in was nice. Thanks

Went for a two night stay, the location is ideal for shopping, theatres and sight seeing. Staff friendly nothing to much trouble. Restaurant located in the hotel was reasonable and enjoyed the food. Casino was a bonus as nice to have a flutter.

Spent one night here and firstly I would like to say that the staff were extremely polite and helpful. On to the accommodation, tiny room on the 1st floor, no air conditioning and very noisy through the entire night. In addition to this there were bare wires on the kettle lead, the light switch on the headboard was loose and... More

I spent an evening at this hotel as an overnight stay for business. Apparently I was in a executive room which in all fairness was very clean and tidy. The air con left alot to be desired! Great breakfast the next morning. Only draw back was the fact that the girl is home to a leisure centre, 2 bars and... More

We stayed at the St Giles for 4 nights and it was a pleasant stay. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was standard English breakfast. To know that it is downtown London which means that it is noisy outside during evening and night. You can also hear very well what is happening outside the door. The biggest downside... More

Basically a cell bereft of charm or character. It has the virtue of being cheap and functional in a very good spot. Don't look at the carpet and expect your hours of rest to be midnight to six because the rest of the time you will be woken by revellers, sirens and in the morning by inconsiderate workmen. All of... Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
