Recently stayed a few night on business. The hotel in terms of location is excellent as it is literally across the road from Tottenham Court Road tube station providing a direct connection to Embankment for exploring Westminster, etc. The hotel was also well positioned for those wanting to see a show as a number of theatres are within a 10... This was my second stay at this hotel, each time staying in an 'executive double' room on the seventh floor (for single use) and it on this room type my rating is based. Having glimpsed inside standard single and double rooms whilst they were being serviced I can well understand negative comments regarding size. Executive doubles are quite compact, my... More

If you stay here be prepared for the following. Bedroom noisy, very hot with no air conditioning. With the window closed the noise is bearable but the it stays very hot although the fans provided help. The room and hotel are clean but it is very busy and crowded. Breakfast. You have to queue for a table as the dining... More

Be prepared it's a busy hotel, you'll not often find rooms for this place on the various websites. Also as it's always busy be prepared for the queues at breakfast (only reason for dropping a point). Knowing London (reasonably), my wife and I chose to do a bit of walking, it's about 25 minutes from Euston so by the time... More

Reception and the Concierge service was great. Lifts are a nightmare, they seem to work by themselves when they want and waiting for them is part of the journey up and down from ones room. The room was hardly large enough to swing a rodent let alone a feline; the bed was a double in two parts and on castors.... More

I have stayed at St.giles many times and often on work trips. The singlerooms are very small. The last time i stayed there the room had a bad smell, probably mould or something similar. Very busy lifts, so be prepared to run the narrow "kitchenstairs". There are many other hotels with good location in London. I would never stay here... More

Spent the night here whilst away on business. Reception staff very friendly and helpful, room spotlessly clean. The negatives? Room very small, plastic stirrer on tea tray - not helpful with the yoghurt I brought! Bathroom also tiny. Room very hot and stuffy, luckily hotel provides an electric fan. Try if you can to get a room away from the... More

Hotel is excellently located just 5 min walk from Tottenham Court Road tube station. There is a good bar and casion / leisure centre which I didn't use. The room was small which is to be expected in London but was very hot given the unseasonably warm September weather. Someone had at least opened the window which did help. Overall,... More

Nearness to Convent Garden, all the theatres and walking distance to Buckingham Palace, St James Park, Cathedrals and the River Thames plus the upmarket shops is a plus for this hotel. I did not pay top dollar to stay there and the room was adequate but the only concern was the shower would not suit a largish person. I walked... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
