Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel during 5 nights in early August. My room was actually small, as it was my bathroom but also very clean and renovated, even though it did not have air conditioning. The receptionist at my arrival (9am Wednesday) told my room was ready, I was really happy having in mind normal check in starts at 2pm. Nice touch from the hotel. I left my luggage and I could go around the city and start my sightseeings. I was staying at 12th floor, I should advise that if you have heavy luggage or up to 2 luggages you need to change the lift at 11th floor; it’s a tiny lift for one person and up to 2 luggage but it’s better than going through the stairs with them. I used concierge services for some online purchases I made before my arrival and during my stay. They were really helpful, those packages received before my arrival were identified and in good hands. I had to pay a reasonable fee for storage. Packages received during my stay were left in my room at no extra charge. Everything was always very tidy. My reservation included breakfast which was accurate, many options. My advice is you should go as early as possible since the restaurant becomes crowded at about 7:30am and there is a queue waiting a table free. I also enjoyed the fitness center towards the hotel, YMCA, if you are a swimmer like I am you can train at the semi olympic pool. If you would like to take a swimming lesson, you can contact the swimming training team at the YMCA website(look for the swimming section). The entrance to the fitness center is near the reception area for a daily fee of £5. Definitely I’ll stay again at this hotel, it offers affordable prices and the location is great, about 4 blocks from the British Museum, and 2 blocks from the tube station. If you want to eat at affordable prices you can go to Sainsbury’s supermarket, a sushi store or a Mexican restaurant all of them crossing Tottenham Court Rd. There’s also a Boots store and pharmacy. If you need to buy clothes, go to Primark also crossing the main street I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did. I apologize for not remembering the receptionist name and the concierge name either.

Older hotel in fantastic location. Rooms are small but good enough and clean. No air conditioning and can get a little noisy with the windows open but it’s minor. Staff are excellent with a special mention to Maria who went more than the extra mile and Jakob who was very helpful. Food and service are good in restaurant. They add a 12% gratuity but there is also a place for “Tip” on the bill that is after the VAT. That was the only thing that disappointed me. I tip well but not twice and not on top of a gratuity and tax. Didn’t let that put me off as the rest of it was all good. Just a couple of minutes from underground station and buses/taxis are right outside Finally, the price is really good!

As a disabled person who stayed with my husband and friend from the moment we arrived the staff were excellent. In particular the concierge and Gabriel in Sage and Chilli restaurant. Highly recommend.

It used to be that St Giles’ standard was really high for the star rating but I think it has gone down - below acceptable. Rooms are scruffy, carpets are smelly and dirty looking, rooms extremely small and basic. Staff varies to say the least - one promises to bump you up to save you from having to switch room - other staff tells you you’re not even checked in yet (24 hours in stay). The breakfast vibe is “hunger games/ prison cafeteria” long lines to metal trays with something you retrieve with a ladle. And that Something is not good for you. I think my mission will become to try and find a new Soho based hotel for future stays. Since one has earned it’s time.

First time in London. I came with my parents, I had my own single room, they had a double room. The rooms are very small, especially my single room. At first I was concerned, however it was very comfortable, my bed was great. It was a good stay. There is no air conditioning though, luckily we missed the heat wave, but they do provide a fan and I saw there was heating if needed. Location was excellent! Walking distance to lots of main sights such as Trafalgar Square. Underground station Tottenham Road was only a very short walk away, and the Underground is so easy to use which makes everything so much better. Lots of shopping and restaurants around, and a super market right across the road. After the initial shock of having such a small room, I really did enjoy my stay here.
