Had an enjoyable one night stay at this hotel in October. After checking in a bottle of prosecco was delivered to our room. The hotel is in a great location and the bed was very comfy. Also had a very good breakfast the next morning. Well worth the money paid.

One night at the Strand Palace was more than enough. 25 minute queue to check in, tired single room with a musty drains smell. Dinner was OK. 20 minute queue for breakfast chaotic sitting arrangements and after all that a further 20 minute queue to check out. This was the only hotel I could get into at short notice.

This was our second stay in this hotel and will probably go back. Very clean comfortable room , a little on the small side but in London , with lots to see and do, the size of the room isn't really a problem. Breakfast was very nice and the quality of the food was very good. Very good area to... More

I booked a King size bedroom, but that was the bed !! There wasn't much room around it and it felt dark and claustrophobic to me. The shower room was tiny too. There were no toiletries to speak of, and only one glass. It was clean and warm enough though with a big TV, but nothing really that warranted the... More

Me and my partner stayed at the Strand Palace Hotel and I was very disappointed with our stay! There were exposed wires in the bathroom, and the room was tiny no better than a travel lodge! Considering I paid £351 for our room it's ridiculous when me and my partner work so hard!

Excellent location, ideal for central London being 300 yards from Covent Garden. Walking distance to all amenities/ attractions in London. We were upgraded for free from a 'cosy' to a 'standard double'. Very good modern room with all necessary items (but no fridge/ room bar, which we didn't need anyway). Very professional, amenable, well-trained staff, although the check-in queue was... More

Broken radiator hence freezing room (despite being a very small room). Extra cot bed had been forgotten. Surcharge to upgrade from one person to two with baby (a cot bed, two towels and breakfast) was £60 (some profit!). Very snotty receptionist (on the phone - the one at the counter was fine). Nothing special compared to standard hotels -- in... More

Booked only spontaniously the day before (31.12) and ended up with this great deal in the Covent Garden area. Great location! Close to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar square, theaters, great value restaurants, Covent Garden Market and much more! The hotel has a bit of an old touch but is more than enough. The rooms are spacious - a bit dark (no... More

Good spot to stop and have a break after a busy morning touring the major london spots. Friendly staff, good sitting....great coffee and muffins, and wifi connection. If you visit before the 29th of feb you can get a sandwich and hot drink under 5 pounds. Enjoy.

Covent Garden
Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.
