Had a short vistit to London including theater and dinners. This your perfect location for that. Everything is close by and at walking distance. Nice older hotel, with friendly service and clean (but small) rooms. Good service, very nice breakfast and helpfull staff.

Back in 1986, I stayed at this hotel on my first trip to London. Now that I'm a mom and I was taking my daughter on her first trip to London, I remembered this hotel and loving the location. To my pleasant surprise, it was even nicer than I remembered!

Although decor in the public spaces looks a bit dated, the rooms are recently refurbished in the "spartan" style. Rooms are very clean and functional. The "cozy double" which was booked for me was cozy but bed comfortable, bathroom was functional (shower, no bath) and well appointed. Nothing to falter really. Breakfast was buffet and better quality than the rip-offs...

Excellent for Central London and Theatreland. We were attending a wedding at a nearby hotel which was beyond our budget, but the Strand Palace was just a few minutes walk away and was comfortable with friendly, helpful staff.

As I have mentioned before on numerous occasions this hotel is perfectly located. Any place in London of interest is accessible from this hotel. The Staff are friendly, efficient and always anxious to help. As I have also said before and my views haven't changed when visiting London I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

I booked a double room which was described as 'a cosy double'. This was stressed when we were checking in & I commented did 'Cosy' mean small. He confirmed this that it was. The double bed was right up against a wall so one of us had to clamber out down to the bottom of the bed. Only one chair...

Great location, friendly staff but small rooms even when pay the extra for 'standard room'. The bathrooms are dated, and not bath taps were not cleaned. A radiator was in the room but did not work, so a temporary plug in one was put in. Bed was comfy but lacked in plug sockets.

A busy hotel but well managed. Very convenient for theatres, galleries and restaurants. Polite and helpful staff. The breakfast was very good with a lot of options, although the coffee was weaker than we would have liked.
