Great location but after a multi million refurb they might have cleaned the windows. Great room 2 big windows to the Strand, never been washed in years. Also the worst service from reception, restaurant, bar, room service, ever experienced. Obviously bad management who have never taught their staff properly. Great location though.

Hello Steve, Thank you for your review. I do apologise if you feel that the service you receive was not up to a standard you would have expected. Feedback regarding the teams is usually very positive. We take great pride in our teams and the service they provide. I do hope that you were able to take up your concerns with a member of management as we would have been happy to assist with any concerns that you may have had. I will also ensure your feedback regarding the windows is passed on; we do schedule regular window cleaning. However with the recent pandemic, lots of things have been put on hold. Whilst the world starts to reopen, we are working as quickly as we can to ensure Strand Palace is the best place to be when travelling to London. Kind Regards Holly Front Office Manager

Hotel's Favorite
Such a lovely hotel in an great location to see the sights of London. My room was small but ideal as it was just for me. Breakfast was buffet style and there was a good selection to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed staying here for the one night, so I decided to stay another night and I’m glad I did. The underground is close by, so I was able to visit a couple of attractions using the tube very easily. It made my Sunday more enjoyable. I look forward to staying here once again in the near future.

We stayed at the Strand Palace hotel from Friday to Sunday on a very hot weekend. Check in was great and even though we were early they had a room available. Our room overlooked the entrance to the Savoy Hotel which was great. Room was very clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable. As others have said the hotel was very central, Covent Garden one street away and in the other direction was the Embankment which is great for river trips or just strolling along by the river. There was also a lovely shady park right behind the hotel. The hotel itself was lovely with a black and gold theme, restaurant and bar very well spaced out and very efficient and friendly staff. Breakfast has to be served at the moment due to Covid restrictions but didn't have to wait too long at all and the staff kept us updated. Had a few cocktails in the bar which were great, nice atmosphere in there, comfy seating and a nice place to start/end your evening. All in all I would thoroughly recommend the Strand Palace Hotel and we will definitely be booking again next time we are in London.

My partner and I booked the Strand Palace hotel as a holiday away as a continuation of my 21st birthday celebrations! We booked this hotel through Booking.com! The booking process was simple and we were able to pay for our stay upon arrival! From the moment, we entered the hotel, we couldn’t believe what we were getting for the £270 we paid! The reception was beautiful with a black and gold theme which was consistent throughout the hotel! The staff were so friendly and made everything super easy! Our room was on the 7th floor of the hotel which was lovely as the hotel is based on a busy road which meant we couldn’t hear any of the traffic below so it didn’t disrupt our time in the room! The hotel was also super central! Covent Garden is less than two minutes away! The rooms were super clean and fresh, we were even provided with dressing gowns and slippers! We had plenty of towels and pillows too, and the most incredibly comfy bed! The only issue I had with the hotel was due to how high up you are, it is quite difficult to connect to the open WiFi due to connection issues meaning I needed to use my 4G a lot of the time we spent there! We also had a few issues when paying for the room service we ordered as the staff couldn’t connect the wireless card machine to the computers down in reception from our room! One of the loveliest things about our stay was the kind gesture of a greetings card and chocolates to wish me a happy 21st birthday, which tasted amazing! My partner and I are planning on going back to London in October so will definitely be looking to stay at the Strand Palace again!

If being honest London would have been the last place i chose to visit, its been 40 years since i was last here and its only due to the pandemic i visit now. Its not i had any dislike for London just the fact there are so many other places to see, However what i experienced shocked me!!! As someone who has visited Milan, Paris, New York to name but three of the many places i have been fortunate to visit, London is up there with the best of them. The Hotel is easy to get to from Heathrow, jump on the subway to Covent Garden and its about a 5 min walk if that. Check in was a breeze, arrived early and it wasnt an issue, Kevin on reception was a great help and very professional. Room was on 7th floor had a window but did not over look any streets, not an issue. Cleanliness First impressions were that it was spotless couldnt fault it, a few minor things in bathroom where grout in tiles has fallen out but nothing serious.......well not that i noticed until day of checkout Sleep was great, very little noise apart from the AC which was needed due to the temperature. Breakfast Buffet style but not self service. If asking for white bread make sure you ask for Untoasted Toast as person taking order didnt have a clue what 2 slices of white bread was and came back with about 8 slices of thinly slices of something, not sure what. When i finally managed to explain i was informed that what i wanted was untoasted toast ( found this hilarious ) Location is fantastic, nearest subway will take you directly to most of the major attractions, others are within walking distance. Check out As mentioned previously when first entering our room is was as if it has just been renovated, looked spotless but on checkout day i got a surprise. Usually i would check everywhere when arriving but this time i just didnt feel i had to, I WAS WRONG. Most if not all of us on our last day as we pack our bags will check everywhere just in case when have dropped something, safe, wardrobes, bathroom and under bed! It was here under the bed in room 790 that i came ( maybe wrong choice of word ) across a box of condoms with the ripped packing of one. Now being 52 years old, having had the snip 27 years ago and sharing this room with my wife, either my wife has some explaining to do or this room wasnt cleaned properly. My guess given the fact my wife and myself were together the whole trip is that the cleaning staff let this slip through their fingers. Now i checked out yesterday sunday the 14th, room should have been cleaned for any new guests hopefully its been removed as the next guests may not be so easy going Apart from that i cant find fault with this hotel, its a gem in an ideal location and YES we will be back, however it wont take me so long next time to revisit Ps next time maybe some viagra could be left under bed instead of condoms given my age and heart condition lol

Dear Ray, Thank you for recent review! We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us in London - we are indeed one of the greatest cities in the world! I would like to thank you for your very honest feedback - without which we cannot learn! The feedback has been passed on to the relevant departments and our housekeeping team will ensure when checking rooms, we are sticking to our (usually) very high standards as I appreciate that this was not the discovery you were expecting. Ray, we would be absolutely delighted to welcome to back and although we cannot provide the welcome gift of your choice - we are sure any future stay with us will be as enjoyable as your last! Kind Regards Holly Front Office Manager
