I booked the deluxe king studio which was for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. On booking I added ages and was advised the room was suitable for two adults and twin teenagers... In addition the room was only set for three people - three towels, cups etc... we paid for 4 people for a room that was not adequate or suitable... I had enquired prior to arrival and on check in that the room was suitable, at no point were we advised it wasn’t... Shame about hotel room and taking money for 4 people for 3 person room...

There was a power trip one evening in my room, and the technician was responsive, rectifying the problem quickly...

This hotel has a great location but be warned, the rooms are very small. Room also a little tired in places, especially the shower... On entering the room we were shocked by the size, especially even when the receptionist advised that we had been moved to a slightly larger room… crikey what was the smaller room like?!...

...The superior room had a bed that was actually too big for the room and the bathroom only had a shower that was raised off the floor which meant you were close to the ceiling and I couldn't stand under the shower because the shower head was too low, I am only 5ft 4in tall. I don't actually think the room was any better than a Premier Inn...

We asked reception if it would be possible to move but the hotel was full so we just had to put up with it... We will now look elsewhere to stay when we are in London... I went to reception and said I could not stay in a room with no daylight, a very nice member of staff went upstairs with me to have a look at the room and immediately said he would try and get it changed... Luckily they found me another room, as I definitely could not have stayed in the original room...

...After finding my room, I immediately was greeted with laundry in bags outside the room, assumsing this is to be colleceted by domestic staff. The room decor itself is pleasant and neutral... However, the walls and ceiling were not great, it looks like mould of some sort, that is on the walls... Furhermore, there had been a leak from the room above and the repair to the ceiling is poor... I have tried to be fair and contact the hotel direct to deal with my complajnt regarding the condition of the hotel room, however, after sending two emails, one to the general email address on the 15th August and another email to the house managers email address on 15th September (of which, neither emails bounced back undelivered) I can only assume that the Strand Palace, are very comfortable and satifield with their customer service and really feel no obligation to pacify guests, who, work hard to pay good money to choose to stay at this establishment...

...However on top of the expensive price : the phonic insulation of the room is very poor...

So I would like you to compliment housekeepers on my behalf this might seem nothing to you but I thought it is a sign of good training Thank you we will be back...

This is the 3rd time that we have visited London and stayed at the Strand Palace hotel, we love it, spotlessly clean,and very high quality service...

...What annoys is Haxell Bar and Restaurant, you are asked to wait to be seated and you are often left waiting for some time but their are a number of gentlemen in suites who I am assuming are managers standing around talking amongst themselves whilst customers are waiting to be seated or are at tables waiting to give an order... What Haxell's bar are quick at is adding to the optional Service Charge , same about Haxell as its an excellent hotel with some great check-in staff...

...Lovely staff who bent over backwards for me... They gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste and helped me find stores where I could buy new clothes... They even cut off the tags of my new clothes as my scissors were in my lost luggage... The second time I came to stay in Janurary I fell seriously ill with covid and they helped me so much... Great attention from the staff, got an upgrade for free without asking for it... The restaurant was pretty great too, and they give you a free wine or dessert if you don't use the cleaning service daily so you help with the enviroment... Orders of French fries, chicken satay, aracini balls, Haxell burgers and halloumi burgers topped the moment even further... The attention to detail given by Vishal made out hours spent at the venue feel never ending... Each invitee told me to step down and they arranged the birthday cake in front of me and carefully organised the golden candles to accentuate the aesthetic of the baking prowess placed in front of us all... They were all thanked for their efforts and I made my wishes whilst my eyes were closed (if I reveal what I asked for it may not come true - so some things must remain sources of mystique for me)... I made the first cut of the cake then cut pieces for my invitees to enjoy... 'Mmms' and 'Awws' had a chain reaction across the table and then I knew the night had been happily enjoyed each invitee... The best way to say thank you for their company was to give them a complementary good bag consisting of having crystal quartz, stationery amongst other things...

For the amount it costs it could be better. The breakfast was nice but at the busiest time they ran out of bowls and we were not offered a pot of tea or coffee like the first morning...

I was told no .. but when I queried this at reception they said yes after consulting the restaurant manager... Stayed two nights Friday and Saturday prior to the London marathon rang reception on Saturday afternoon to request a late checkout so that my husband could shower and change after the marathon prior to travelling home by train to Leeds. We were told that late checkout was unavailable as the hotel was full but we could store our luggage and my husband could shower in the gym... My husband was too tired to argue this is really disappointing and in my opinion lousy customer service.Future marathon runners be aware...

We Always book a European Hotel for the evening we are traveling to whichever country we are visiting so we do not have to wait for check in and we had written confirmation held by credit card at Strand Palace for 10/1/22... We went back and forth & finally I got the manager to take away the charges for the unused room but only after arguing with 1st staff then the manager... We were given breakfast and last check in at about 11:45-50 AM London time...

On this recent trip, the front desk was not picking calls and were dismissive of complaints... Misunderstandings around booking can and do happen, however, proper customer service would suggest that your reception staff should listen better and not have a “don’t care, not my fault” default... was most helpful and friendly and efficient in her response... The service in the restaurant is really poor, with wrong orders being delivered and guests not being able to just enjoy a cup of tea on a side table after hours, as has been the case... You're able to rent an umbrella if needed and an easy vending machine on the first floor even if you want a beer or wine an basic necessities... Tesco Express and Boots are nearby... If you're a woman travelling solo, this is comfortable and simple... Pleasant stay, staff are friendly and thermostat is easy to use to control room temperature...

The location was great... you could walk up to most tourist attractions and the bus stop is just nearby. The room was cozy ... and the beddings were nice... the room itself was clean and all the staff was very nice... To my surprise, they gave me a £7 voucher which I can use in their restaurant/bar...

This is a 3.5 to maybe 4 star hotel in my eyes. Lovely staff very friendly although maybe a little cheeky with comments about our group to other customers in the Gin bar!... We stayed here for our works night out in London, a large group of about 10 double rooms... Breakfast was a normal buffet breakfast... Gin bar shuts at 1am, and the hotel bar shuts around 11-12, so get a few drinks in and maybe sit in the lobby... You also have vending machines on the first floor, which sell alcohol, wine, and beer... They also have machines with drinks and snacks...

...Lovely staff who bent over backwards for me... They gave me a toothbrush and toothpaste and helped me find stores where I could buy new clothes... They would bring toilet paper and tissues to my room on request, check on my wellbeing and allowed me to extend my stay as I was too unwell to travel... The staff really went out of their way to help me and I am soo soo grateful for that... I cannot recommend Strand Palace hotel enough for what they did for me... Even on my way out a lovely staff member helped me carry my 3 suitcases to the street... And the rooms are beautiful, clean and homely...

...After the theatre we returned and had a round of drinks and a snack... Full English on offer, unfortunately 2 fried eggs out of 3 were so rubbery as to be inedible... Give me a Premier Inn breakfast any day...

Great attention from the staff, got an upgrade for free without asking for it... The restaurant was pretty great too, and they give you a free wine or dessert if you don't use the cleaning service daily so you help with the enviroment... Thanks to Mary for the quick checkout and great attention!...

...I have issues earlier as I were promised connecting rooms for my family when I did the pre check-in in the afternoon... "when I ask them what happened to the connecting rooms... He managed to fix me the connecting rooms for the next day, and got his staffs to hold the rooms for me without mistake again... Angela from room cleaning was also very helpful and went beyond her duty to help replenish our coffee and biscuits in the rooms, when called upon... Covent garden is a stone throw away, and Soho, Chinatown and some of the theatres are just ten minutes walk from the hotel... The British Museum is also no more than 15 minutes on foot... Looking beyond the hiccups I had during the initial check-in, this is still a very good hotel to have a short stay if you want to be close to all the actions this part of London has to offer...

...Great location and simple very practical clean room with all the necessary... All staff very approachable; felt as if I was getting the quality of treatment and customer service you get in America...

...The breakfast was nice but at the busiest time they ran out of bowls and we were not offered a pot of tea or coffee like the first morning. The superior room had a bed that was actually too big for the room and the bathroom only had a shower that was raised off the floor which meant you were close to the ceiling and I couldn't stand under the shower because the shower head was too low, I am only 5ft 4in tall...

The luxury had its own way of searching for succinct framework to enjoy the conviviality of any casual mid evening dinner... Orders of French fries, chicken satay, aracini balls, Haxell burgers and halloumi burgers topped the moment even further... The attention to detail given by Vishal made out hours spent at the venue feel never ending... The best way to say thank you for their company was to give them a complementary good bag consisting of having crystal quartz, stationery amongst other things... Peace and pleasantries, great conversations, heart felt laughter and invaluable memories made at Strand Palace Hotel, London concluded a fantastic milestone birthday...

...The location is spot on for local attractions. The welcome was extremely friendly and we were even upgraded to a bigger room with free mini bar... The bed was incredibly comfortable and the shutters keep out noise and light completely... Rooms also at well equipped with iron, hair dryer, coffee machine, even an umbrella...

...Thankfully we had some ear plugs, without which we wouldn't have been able to sleep. When you've paid hundreds of pounds basically for a bed to sleep in this is not acceptable...

Stayed two nights Friday and Saturday prior to the London marathon rang reception on Saturday afternoon to request a late checkout so that my husband could shower and change after the marathon prior to travelling home by train to Leeds. We were told that late checkout was unavailable as the hotel was full but we could store our luggage and my husband could shower in the gym... On our return to the hotel my husband asked if someone could let him into the gym an was informed by the manager that he could not use the gym as we had checked out had to settle for a hands and face wash in the gents toilet ...

Great location, close to places you want to see in London. Some staff are helpful, specially Anka, the person that replenishes our complimentary beverages and food... Just hope the hotel has a scale in the front desk to weigh our luggages...

...My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at the Strand Palace. The location is absolutely central, with many sites within easy walking distance and public transport right outside the door... From the (huge number of) waiters in the dining room to the staff at the desk to the gentleman who opens the doors for you, everyone greeted us with a smile and all were very pleasant, friendly and helpful... All requests and questions were answered quickly and courteously... For me, this can make or break a holiday, so it is my main reason for highly recommending this hotel... Other good points: The room was very clean, and kept clean and well supplied throughout our stay... The hotel provides coffee and tea as well as delicious shortbread cookies left in the room daily... These were especially welcome upon our arrival in the middle of the night after a long flight!...

...We love this hotel for its location, just up the road from Trafalgar Square, round the corner from Covent Garden, theatres on the doorstep or within a short stroll and on a bus route. Easy check in and our room was ready for us... Lovely to find they had added a birthday surprise with balloons, prosecco and chocolates alongside a birthday card... Nice touch and much appreciated... Room was clean and modern; the refurbishments have made a very positive difference... Good refreshment tray and choices... Bathroom toiletries a bit basic, however, nice shower and good towels... Comfortable bed and the shutters at the window help to keep the traffic sound down (ear plugs available on the bedside if you need them)... Sufficient clothes space for a short stay, nice to have an iron and fridge... Room had a safe too which wasn't shown on the facilities list on the website but is important when a tourist!... One disappointment - our room was not serviced when we went out... She offered us replenishments for our tea tray but had no explanation of why this happened - then it happened the next day again!... Breakfast was hot with good choices... Coffee to be collected from a machine, tea served on request in a pot... Downstairs refurbishments have opened up the area around reception and the dining area so it all gives a more modern and spacious appearance...

...It was all that I had read about beforehand and why I picked it: for the 2 nights I needed, the size of the room was just fine, especially since I had a carryon-size suitcase... The abundance of lights and plug-ins, including 4 USB outlets meant I had no use of the UK converter I brought... The bathroom was exceptionally nice for the size of room I had... Healthy options like fruit cocktails and choices of juices...

...We were offered free breakfasts and eventual check in but they wanted to charge us for the rooms that were given away and which they charged another party for... We were given breakfast and last check in at about 11:45-50 AM London time...

...I was able to get to it via Piccadily line from LHR and Covent garden tube stop, a 5 min walk. Checked in no issues and was given a free pint at the local Maxwells on sight!... Got to my room and it was small looking at first, but everything in the space was very good... The room was all redone recently, all modern... I had the best sleep there of all the hotels I stayed to tell truth over my 2 weeks , Egypt and luxury place in Dubai!... The bed was a twin, but was comfortable, and pillows were fantastic for me!... The bathroom was again small, but functional and all redone... The shower was very impressive, very powerful flow, best water flow indeed of any hotel I have ever stayed!... I wished I could take this home with me!... No noise issues with sleep, no closing doors from neighbours, no sound from other rooms, no street noise... Location is perfect in London near all you need, and the Covent garden tube stop you can access it all, including LHR in 1 hr at a cost of 1 pound!... Breakfast was a buffett and not bad, only that the guy was limiting you on the sausage and pancakes for some reason, you can't get yourself...

...There is no concierge at certain times, and during a stay earlier this year there was also no water, neither in the rooms nor elsewhere, and the vending machine was faulty!!!... Thrice I had to complain about the room not being cleaned properly or serviced (no toilet paper or fresh towels etc.)... was most helpful and friendly and efficient in her response...
