Stayed at the Rosewood which was fabulous. What a lovely hotel, our arrival under the arch of the building with the beautiful outside garden bars to both your right and left are lovely. The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was superb and spotlessly clean and super comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, food beautifully presented, well cooked and well presented with friendly and efficient staff. We will definitely return.
I booked the Dome Suite for 2 nights, as I was in town for the Guns N Roses concerts. The Dome suite is the sole Suite of its kind. Located on the 7th floor, it is split on 3 levels, with the bedroom on the top level, boasting a magnificent round window. The Suite is elegant in its simplicity, which is what I like. While my check-in experience was the worst I had ever had ( my room was not ready until 4.40pm!), the kindness and attention I got as a result slowly made up for the initial nightmare. This is a magnificent establishment in more ways than one!
Facility is beautiful and great location. However, the service was just not up to the standards to be expected from a hotel of this caliber. Our room was not cleaned when asked, almost every room service meal was inaccurate or incomplete... (no fork, wrong item delivered, order not complete, salad loaded with dressing to the point it had to be sent back), and waiting time was long for meals and the food was just average. Lastly, their were children staying at the hotel who were not properly supervised and were running the halls late into the evening. While not the hotel's fault, I would have hoped the hotel staff would have addressed this with the parents.
The Rosewood is a beautiful hotel in an excellent part of London (the Holborn area). The staff is amazing, the outdoor bar is fun, the rooms are large, beautiful and comfortable and the overall experience is excellent. The restaurants and bars in the hotel are great. It is one of my favorite hotels in London because it is consistently excellent.
Overall, experience here is fine. Would have expected more considering the price. We were there for one night passing through London and I felt that this was an opportunity to experience the Rosewood. My parents used to stay here often pre-pandemic so I was looking forward to coming. It was strange that there was no bellman to greet us at the front to assist with our luggage. Also, our room was right near elevator and had the strangest layout. We also had barely any window and no view as the window was a small sliver towards the top of the ceiling. The standout was the bar though! Great experience there and awesome service. However, regarding the hotel, it was subpar and I’ve had better experiences for the same price elsewhere.
With great location and near by station. The building is stunning, I saw many travel stop by Rosewood only just for taking photos. As a guest there, the service is impressive and I really enjoy the breakfast service there.
A magnificent building housing an exceptional hotel. Everything, the decor and spaces are really beautifully done with taste and a little bit of cheek. The Scarves jazz bar is wonderful, the breakfast room elegant and comfy and the service is really professional and on the ball. The room is great, best bed I have ever slept on and the linen is gorgeous and so luxurious. Its expensive but we loved our stay - what a spoil.
I promised the team a review as everyone there really did deserve it. Smooth check in with my requests catered for. Exceptional concierge team that really knows some great options for London. The highest praise has to go to the housekeepers though. Truly some of the hardest workers I have seen. Well done all! Did not eat there alas but visited the scarf's bar once or twice. Beautiful bar, well made drinks, and again exceptional service. Will always consider this hotel to be one of the best in Holborn. It's truly five star.
My sister in law and brother in law had booked Afternoon Tea for the four of us. They were staying at this hotel for five nights while on holiday from the USA and as we live in London we met here for Afternoon Tea. I have had the pleasure of Afternoon Tea in various locations in London and Essex but I can honestly say I have never had such a beautifully presented Afternoon Tea as we did here. The sandwiches were delicate as well as delicious but the cakes were simply stunning! Champagne, tea, cakes and sandwiches this is a complete must. The service was impeccable. Beautifully done Rosewood 💜
