Booked a double room for one night for £100. Even the most unscrupulous of estate agents would think twice about calling it a double... Barely enough room for a bed, certainly not enough room for the wardrobe, which blocked the window... Hot and stuffy, so the only way to deal with that was to open the window, letting in the... Good location, 7 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube, near to shops and restaurants, quite-ish area. Rooms very small, some more modern than others. Rooms are clean and beds comfy. No a/c and windows don't fully open. Wifi not free which is annoying. Staff reasonably helpful.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in late August on our honeymoon. The double room was tiny - you have a entryway about a foot and a half, a poky bathroom and the room is basic the double bed with hardly enough space to store your luggage. No air conditioning. The whole place felt claustrophobic. This was... More

Room was the size of postage stamp. Bed and wardrobe space is very limited. As a man of a certain age I got up in the middle of the night to go to the loo and walked into a table I still have bruise on my leg. No aircon so very warm and quite noisy outside so you couldn't have... More

We have just stayed at this hotel for 3 nights,as everyone has been saying on here good location close to Gloucester Road tube or earls Court, but that's where it ends. We booked a deluxe double bedroom, only to find out that the deluxe double bedrooms are in the basement with a window that looks onto either below a street or where... More

We had a girls weekend in London and wanted a basic hotel for the night. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel rooms - clean and comfortable. The Receptionist was extremely helpful and always pleasant. Good location not too far away from the underground and plenty of shops nearby for food. Good price.

Beautiful reception area with wonderful and helpful staff who had me and my boyfriend laughing! The hotel is in a great location and a short walk from Earls Court station. The room is quite small and unfortunately the double bed is just two singles pushed together, not the most comfortable! However the room and the modern bathroom are very clean... More

when booking we requested a upper floor room (well it asked us if we had any preference) when we got to the hotel we were given a basement room located in underneath the hotel (we could hear the tube since it wasn't far from the station) the room was small and cramped with only a lampshade for lighting, the room... Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
