I took a chance on this bed-and-breakfast instead of a chain hotel. It is a charming building with a lot of nice touches. I was put in a single deluxe room which is what I chose from the website but unfortunately nearby guests keep slamming their doors and speaking on the phone with the speakerphone on during all hours of the night. I brought this to the attention of Roberta at reception who immediately put me in another room. Much appreciated. Daily breakfast is included - just Continental, with bread jam eggs fruit and coffee…very satisfying.

What went well Location was SPOT ON. Found that we only had to get on the district or picadilly line to get anywhere from Earls Court so it was excellent . The check in was easy. Beds super comfortable dont think I have ever slept that well in a hotel ever. Good spread of continental breakfast. Ensure you ask for black tea because they serve all the fancy teas but just not the normal ones unless you ask. Pastrys freshly baked. Nice room decor. Some of the fairy lights need replacing. Cool interactive doorbell system with signs to say if you want your room serviced or not. Good wifi. Good selection of soaps and shampoos. Very clean. Good bed linen and towels very large and fluffy. More suited to younger couples and younger generation. Well decorated rooms and bathroom. Even better if.. The shower pressure was poor needs looking at. Felt like a dribble. Whole milk is a no. Need more of a selection for milk. Nobody drinks whole milk anymore. Clean the carpets. Just puts the older generation off a bit. Spend some money getting them cleaned. Overall top quality stay.

Stayed here for 4 nights- clean and comfortable rooms, bed was perfect for a good nights sleep, breakfast was simple and always served with a smile, daily housekeeping and the location is a hop and skip away from the tube station, shops and post office. The check in staff are also kind and friendly.

Still in shock from the horrendous experience here but feel it is my moral obligation to write this review for others following the disgraceful treatment by the owner after I had a bad fall in their breakfast room. Situation: The base of a stool was situated in the walkway from the self-service breakfast area to the seating area of the breakfast room. I tripped and landed in the middle of the room face down on my hands and knees in front of 7 other guests. I went to the reception desk to say what had happened and to ask for ice. Both hands and knees were visibly bruised. I also informed reception that there was a leak in the bathroom from the sink pipe resulting in water on the floor and that the shower head attachment was also broken. She came up to take a video of the leak and shower head to send to the owner. The only other available single rooms were facing the back of the property and from a previous stay, I preferred not to switch. The receptionist said she would contact the manager/owner (the same person) to see if he could make the repairs that day while I waited in my room to hear back from her. She called to say the owner said that I could leave the hotel and be refunded for my next 2 nights; I thought there had been a misunderstanding; I said I was disappointed in the owner's response and surely he would offer some sort of goodwill gesture given my injuries and the faulty bathroom and that I had stayed there before. Reaction: the owner called me in my room and yelled down the phone: “you have to leave by 11am as I will call the police..you are taking the p*ss..I will come and remove you”. I reiterated that I had an accident, and was in pain. He hung up on me. I was in shock and shaken by this horrible treatment. At 9am and at such short notice, I had nowhere else to go. I was in shock and was applying ice to my hands and knees. I had to cancel my business meetings for the rest of the day while calling friends & colleagues in London for help. Two guests who had witnessed my accident kindly offered me their contact details to be witnesses should I need (thank you). As I was waiting in the lobby to leave, the owner entered and demanded that I go with him to the breakfast room to recreate the accident! My uber had arrived and I told him the stool had been removed at my insistence (another man had stubbed his foot on it after me) and that my uber was outside. All I could say was that his behavior was shameful as he shouted at me as I left for my uber. Should you have a problem, an accident or a complaint, expect to be literally turfed out. To anyone thinking of staying here, beware of the nature of the owner and know that in England, under the Hotel Proprietors' Act of 1956 hotels have a duty of care for person and property while staying”. Apparently this does not apply to this B&B. Being a low budget B&B is no excuse not to demonstrate a common courtesy of asking if someone is alright when injured.

The above review was expected as the guest failed of course to relate some important truths of what happened. The essence was this: She tripped and fell crucially through no fault whatsover of the hotel. Indeed we had an inspection yesterday from the council and the hotel seems to be cleared of any fault. But crucially the guest failed to mention in her review that what irked the hotel owner was that she tried to extort money back (at least 1 nights stay ) by using her fall as leverage. The owner did not stand for this reprehensible behaviour and therefore asked the guest to leave . We are sorry that things got to this stage and of course apologise if our anger showed through which it shouldnt have. The hotel does care about its guests and the guest was afforded all sorts of help/compresses etc by staff.

Well, I can’t comment on the actual hotel as we didn’t get to stay there. I received an email from Booking.com telling me that the hotel were requesting that I cancel the booking. Strange, I thought. The email said if I didn’t wish to cancel not to do anything. I like to be thorough so I rang the hotel, to be told the booking had been cancelled due to my card being declined. My card had expired as the booking had been made a long time ago, and I had updated it, as requested by booking.com. The hotel had ignored this and cancelled my reservation. The only reason I found out was because I rang the hotel to double check. They offered no way to help rectify the situation either. Disgusted is an understatement

This is just an automatic e-mail that BCOM sends you when your booking has a declined card. If no reply within a certain period of time the booking does get cancelled. The staff at the property were just informing you about this process.
