Booked for our 5th Anniversary break. We go away every year. Usually abroad, but due to Covid, its Uk this year. From the street it is not in your face but a tasteful intro to the hotel. Reception is nice, clean, smells odour free. We stayed in room 23( for 3 nights over april bank holiday 2021), the only one with the balcony at front of hotel. overlooking what we think in private gardens. Beautiful. The hotel reception during covid is not manned. Contact numbers are on door. But they did ask our expected arrival time. We arrived half hr early. no one there. Went to get food by time came back there was someone there bang on our advised arrival time. Very polite older man who booked us in. No issues at all. Breakfast was moved to 8am-9am due to staff hrs. Free Wifi. Room is great!! plenty of room. Double sized shower. Bathroom is amazing. Red glitter tiles, overhead large shower head. shampoo/shower gel/soap supplied. And has a hairdryer, not advertised in hotel write up ( took my own and didn't need to). Led mirror light, fountain taps.Massive bath towels. Large 52" tv, lots of mood lighting. Even has mini fridge, kettle, coffee supplied. NO MILK. buy your own. ( kettle supply was also not advertised in hotel description and was a problem for us, but didnt put us off staying) single beds, NO DOUBLE! . clean sheets. british flag decorative pillows. 1 wardrobe with a safe, NO DRAWERS but wardrobe does have 2 shelves. Top one very dusty. (put up a black top & was covered in white dust). Beds are comfy. Normally our rooms are just for pit stops but during this covid with no restaurants open to sit in and the outside seating either booked up or too cold, we have spent longer in our rooms to eat etc.. We have not been supplied CUTLERY OR CROCKERY, which i think they should supply at the moment. Breakfast is continental. Not self service at this time. They have a conservatory to eat in. Social distancing has been applied, with each 2nd table closed off. Face masks to be worn around hotel at every chance. Even though says this everywhere, you still get some who think they are above not doing this. I could not fault this hotel & would stay again. Hope all the rooms were like this one. In hotel room it does say if book direct with them, not via a booking site, get 25% off. will defo do this again. Our only criticism is there is no plugs beside bed. Like most people, we like to charge & use phone whilst on bed. Couldn't do this. There is only 1 double plug in whole room, to use for 2 phones, kettle, iron, hair straighteners etc. The docking station doesn't charge our fast charge phones. So maybe ok for Laptop etc.. Thank you for a great stay. The area is a less than 5min walk from Earls Court tube station. Many restaurants is an understatement. Massage, nails, hair, m&s, coop, sainsurys all in walking distance. When restrictions lift in 2wks will also be a local pub/hotel on corner. Cleopatra's Mediterranean restuarant & smoothie bar is amazing. Such nice food. …
I can give 5 stars to the hotel . Clean and staff were great . Breakfast safe and delicious . I recommend one hundred percent. Next train station, walking only 5 minutes from Earl’s Court, great area .
My teen son and myself stayed for 8 nights. The desk attendant on arrival was very unfriendly, unhelpful - after a long flight was rather disappointing, almost re-booked at a hotel on same street after the greeting we received from him but decided in the end to stay. Other day-time desk agents were better. Breakfast was horribly crowded due to narrow location, has stools rather than chairs, food was repetitious but decent. Nice coffee machine. Room attendant did not refresh our coffees/teas without our asking. One day after being out all day returned to find our room door was blocked open by a towel - cleaners had left our room open all day - assume they use towel in the morning to air out room after cleaning then agent forgot to remove the towel. Thanks to decent other guests nothing was missing. Desk agent did not seem surprised. Loved the location - close to tube and museums. Won't stay again. The mini-blind style shower wall was a problem for us - when the sun is down, totally able to see in shower esp when lights off in room. For mom and son travel team was very awkward - had to schedule our showers to avoid this uncomfortable situation.…
I was alone and spent a couple nights at this hotel. The location is perfect. Lots of shops/restaurants on Earls Ct Rd and the tube station is 2 mins away. Roberto the manager was very friendly and let me check-in early. Was there during the heatwave and the air-con was a blessing. Lots of TV channels to watch at night. Spent my days shopping and running errands. Would pick up dinner at M&S Foods 2 mins away and would crash watching TV. Loved the modern room and toilet. Was a nice surprise. You just assume a hotel in a Victorian building maybe dated. But the owners have taken great care to refurbish it and provide all the facilities that are so common in new hotel. Will be back for sure!
I stayed at Henley House for x1 night whilst attending a conference. The hotel is just off the high street - so has a nice mix of not being too noisy whilst having access to local tube, shops and several bars. The hotel itself is fairly modern – with spacious rooms overlooking a rather picturesque street. The staff were friendly and the breakfast service was very good. A nicely priced hotel for individuals travelling on business or those looking for a base to explore London further.
