With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.

We had a deluxe room with a double bed. The double bed slept my husband and I quite comfortably (and we sleep in a king-sized bed at home. ) I would say the double bed was larger than a queen but ever so slightly smaller than a king. I will add that not all the bathrooms at the hotel are created equal. One room we were initially in had no views but a sizeable bathroom. The room with a view that we eventually settled in had a bathroom that felt half the size of the first one. But since we basically used the room to sleep and were otherwise gone from morning to night, it was no big deal.
