We loved the friendly, multi-lingual staff and location. The Tube is just across the street and you can walk just about anywhere else in town. The place is full of Chelsea charm and there are 2 pubs on the same block (a rarity in London where it's hard to find any British food these days!)

The parking is in the back of the hotel. Ring to find out how to get there before you turn up as traffic is horrendous. Hotel staff are lovely. Room was clean and comfortable . However if yo want free wifi n your room this is not possible, which I think is not good for a hotel of four stars.... More

We stayed for four nights and were quite pleased. The tube is very close and convenient. There is a large grocery store, several coffee shops, and museums nearby. The room was a good size for London. We overlooked the street, but had no problem with noise.

This was our second visit to the Bailey's Hotel. Since our first visit the rooms have been renovated, so they are more modern - however the public spaces still have a 19th century charm. The location can't be beat. The Gloucester Road tube station is across the street and that station services 3 good tube lines. The hotel staff was... More

Several of us all booked single rooms at the Bailey's and were super pleased with our rooms and the hotel in general. During a hot spell in the city the air conditioning worked beautifully and was nice and quiet with personal controls in each room. The single room seemed to have a double or full bed though each room is... More

Lovely hotel and staff. Door keys would stop working quite often but otherwise everything was great. Quite funny that even though we were in England there was no English Breakfast tea bag in the room. Staff very helpful on where to go and what to do. Wifi included in room cost as was breakfast. Best breakfast ever. Scrambled Eggs, bacon,... More

This hotel is ideally suited across the road from Gloucester Road Tube station. That's the best bit about the hotel. The foyer and reception are nice but the room was small and basic. The staff were quite friendly. We did not have breakfast so unable to comment.

I've heard amazing things about The Baileys, and it is amazing. From the outside and within but some things did let me down during my stay. The fact I was on a visit paid for by millennium themselves didn't sway my opinion on my stay. The hotel was amazing at initial check in. I loved the reception and it oozed... More

Loved our recent stay immensely. The Millennium Baileys is full of character, luxurious and perfectly located opposite the tube, surrounded by great places to eat and close to all the main attractions. Memorable stay for a first visit to London.

We stayed 4 nights last July and were overall extremely pleased with choosing the Bailey's. The PROS: - location is just perfect, 20m from a tube station with excellent connections (Gloucester road), walking distance to the Science Museum, the Natural History Museum and Kensington Gardens. That part of Gloucester road offers a good mix of charming little side streets and... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
