The hotel is nice, clean and in a great location directly opposite the tube. However, our stay was let down by the service and the breakfast. When we checked in we received no information about when or where breakfast would be served and there was no information booklet in our room (no info on room service, wifi, contact numbers etc.) When we arrived down at the restaurant in the morning we were asked where our breakfast pre-order form was but we had never been told we had to pre-order the breakfast or been given any form at the desk or in our rooms. Despite this, the staff were accommodating and sat us straight away, explaining that they would get what we wanted from the buffet and serve it to our table, due to COVID. When we booked a room with breakfast included, we expected some sort of hot cooked breakfast so we were very disappointed with the limited option of a boiled egg/omelette and a buffet table consisting of some toast, plain yogurt and cheap carton orange juice. Throughout breakfast, the staff all seemed very flustered and rushed and it was difficult to get their attention to request items from our order that hadn’t arrived. Overall we had a pleasant visit and would probably stay again, but we would definitely find a cafe outside of the hotel for breakfast.…
We booked Bailey’s Hotel through Secret Escapes and had the most wonderful experience. From the warm welcome when we arrived with easy check in to the smooth check out it was seamless. We were upgraded to an amazing room which was spacious, clean and gorgeously furnished. The hotel is beautiful and a real gem. Our breakfast, pre-ordered was served in the Olive Restaurant it was simple but good quality and service was prompt. Overall the staff were extremely efficient and friendly we would definitely visit again. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.
Fantastic service by Gary. Just would like to say it was a fantastic experienced staying at this hotel. Its great for familes and most importantly its in a amazing area too. The decor of the hotel is good and the hygiene is also 10/10 , would definitely recommend this place
A charming hotel run by lovely people. A memorable experience for all the right reasons. I look forward to my next visit. The hotel is a gem to be savoured and recommended. The rooms are a good size and impeccably clean and tidy. Perfect for business and holiday stays.
The listing does not live up to reality. The hotel appears understaffed and the ones who are there seem very unhappy about their presence. No sign of a room service menu. Chose to eat elsewhere, there are lots of very nice restaurants and takeaways opposite. Breakfast was very poor. Bed was unsecured on rug on hardwood floors. If the staff were happier the stay may've been more enjoyable. Also, yet to see the £50 deposit drop off my credit card. I wonder if the management do read these reviews instead of the same response to each one.... see below.
