Very disappointed. We had a executive double room with breakfast. The room was tiny, which is expected being in London. The hotel was kept clean and was nice and quiet. Friendly staff. It was the room that let it down. Worst bed Iv ever slept in! It was 2 single beds pushed together so when your sleeping you had to be careful not to roll into the middle as you would fall down the hole! I did email the hotel about this and then offered to move us to a different room with a smaller bed that was an actual double, we declined as we only had 1 night so was not worth it. Was also disappointed in the breakfast. Not much choice but they were prompt in delivering to the bedroom due to focus restrictions. Would not stay here again.

We were the first guests to stay in the newly renovated Commodore. This meant that everything was fresh and clean, but there were a few teething problems - tv not yet affixed to wall, for example. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is delivered to your room in the morning and is continental style but very generous. Room was nicely decorated and with a great shower. Great location near to tube and just off Hyde Park. Great value, would definitely return.

Myself and my partner have had an amazing experience with our trip to London for Winter Wonderland! Jennifer was able to ensure all of our needs were met, she was very helpful, replying to emails and speaking over the phone. We booked our room through Groupon and our family tried to do the same and was unable to get the same deal. We spoke with Jennifer over the phone and explained the situation, in which her response was that she would happily honour the price we were quoted. The hotel itself is in a perfect location for Winter Wonderland, it’s less than a 5 minute walk from the Lancaster Gate tube stop and approximately 100 yards from the nearest entrance to Hyde park. The hotel is surrounded by local cafe’s and restaurants, which is highly recommended as the food was top tier and very reasonably priced! The hotel room was very clean, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was amazing! The decor has been done to a very high standard. We found our stay very quiet and didn’t have any disturbances through any of our time in the room. I would highly recommend a stay in the Commodore Hotel and I will be definitely be staying again as the experience I had was exceptional! Brad S

There was 7 of us in our party, 4 adults and 3 small children (all under 5). We had originally booked an apartment on the same street but on arrival realised it was unfortunately a scam. We walked along to the commodore to see if they could help us. The lady on the desk was amazing, so friendly and helpful (I think she was called Chrisendia). She showed us 3 different room styles around the hotel to see which one would best suit us and the children. Then got us booked in very quickly and easily after our difficulties with the previous accommodation. We got 2 rooms next door to each other that were right off the reception so very easy access with prams and cases etc. Rooms were decorated lovely and the bathrooms were modern. Just what we needed for our short trip. If we needed anything, reception were on hand to help. Thanks again for saving our little weekend away!

When we arrived at the entrance of the hotel we were very excited. The location was great and the entrance looked quite grand. We were given our hotel key card and told we were on the 7th floor, but that the lift only went up to the 6th. When we got to our room I was shocked. It was a tiny attic room with no windows. Nothing like the photos provided… 4 star executive double room it was not! I went down to complain to reception immediately (I couldn’t call down as there was no phone!!) we were moved to a room on the third floor which did have a window, but the bathroom was the smallest I’ve ever seen, you can hardly turn round in it. Again nothing like the photos on the website, but I couldn’t be bothered complaining again. The bed was smaller than a double, again no phone, fridge didn’t work, the layer of dust on top of the wardrobe (where I had to store my suitcase so as not to step over it in the small room) was vile. I’d love to stay in the Lancaster Gate area again, but would never stay in this hotel. It has such potential, but given it’s just been renovated, I’m amazed they have missed the mark..AVOID!
