Had a great stay at this Travelodge. This is a typical Travelodge so if you want four star luxury this is not the hotel for you. However, if you are looking for a reasonably priced room with a central location it fits the bill. The room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning and the lighter breakfast was good and... Stayed here for one night on 22/08/2016 as I needed somewhere central in London to stop over. The price of £79 was a bargain compared to other hotels in the area. Check-in was really simple - there were a few people waiting at reception, but if you walk past the reception desk, there are self service check-in computers. If you... More

Stayed in a family room at 166 High Holborn. This is the building for family groups if you book into the Drury Lane Travelodge. The room was spacious and quite adequate for myself, my wife and 6 year old Granddaughter. However this was in early August when ambient temperatures were quite high and the room was like an oven. There... More

Stayed two nights room only. Everything was good. Didn't get a great deal of sleep on the first night due to Andy Murray teasing us for hours on end. But on the second night I had the best nights sleep I've ever had in a hotel (and I was sober and unmedicated). Andy can take some responsibility for that but... More

My sister and I stayed in the Travelodge Covent Garden as part of a weekend break going to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Palace Theatre. It's an ideally placed hotel for the West End - only a short walk away from the Shaftesbury Avenue theatres. Upon arrival, we went to the Drury Lane base of the... More

Though the exterior looks dirty, this is a clean and well maintained hotel. Our room was clean and tidy with fresh towels each day. It had a flat screen TV and air conditioning. This hotel is in a fab location for the theatres, restaurants and Covent Garden. It is also only a short walk to the Thames.

I had been staying in 5 star hotels my entire trip through Europe. I was getting a little tired of spending a lot of money for a short stay, especially when all I needed was a place to sleep. Travellodge was a pleasant surprise to be so affordable and also very classy. I wish I had been staying in hotels... More

Friendly, helpful staff. Good central location, with tube station a 5 minute walk away. Very handy for the excellent Covent Garden area. Rooms are basic but decent, as you would expect for a budget hotel. Would definitely use again.

Staying in Covent Garden

Neighborhood Profile
Covent Garden
Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.
