A very large hotel situated just off the West End.Rooms are very comfortable after a recent makeover and prices are reasonable for London. There is a cafe bar serving meals at sensible prices and the all you can eat buffet breakfast is excellent.only drawback is that many of the staff are foreign leading to communication difficulties.however,I have stayed here 5 times... For a budget hotel it is very good, personally we feel another budget hotel chain is better, but the location is great, it was clean and comfortable, and the staff polite and accommodating, although a little more local knowledge would be beneficial to one member of staff, but they always offered to look on the map for me. Anyone that... More

The Travelodges ,although without frills, is clean and comfortable with very good beds. The staff are polite and helpful and for £7.95 you can have an extensive hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. Also only a short distancefrom Holborn tube station and near to most theatres if you don't mind a bit of a walk.

I cannot believe the amazing help I got from Ramata at the Travelodge in Covent Garden. I'm a Londoner and walked in to ask for help and Ramata went out of her way to help me. I won't go into the details but I was stressed and she kindly helped me. It may not have been much for her but... More

Ive stayed in various Travelodge hotels and have always been happy. This hotel I can't recommend though. The heat in the rooms was unbearable. Two fans were provided (clearly suggesting a problem) but they did little to help. The heat combined with the noose meant I hardly slept.

Second stay at this hotel. Good location. A few minutes from covent garden, Russell Square, Leicester Square, Shaftsbury Avenue etc. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Had all your basics eg tea and coffee facilities and an iron can be requested from reception. Didn't eat breakfast but did have a late night snack which was cooked to order, reasonably priced... Stayed here for 5 nights for a family city break. Ticks all the boxes for this. Central location, only 5 mins walk past the sainsburys at Holborn tube station. Our 1st room looked over the construction site nearby and the noise was incredible, however on requesting a move, no problem at all. Moved to other side of hotel, much better.... More

I have visited here before, around this time last year. The location is great and although the building looks shabby on the outside, the inside is smart and just was you need for a short break. Check in was quick. The room we had was over the other side this time, on the right of the building and our room... More

Spotless bed linen, large towels, king size bed, on site restaurant serving pub grub at very reasonable prices for central London. Buffet breakfast, hot and cold items for £7.95, children free. We had a very quiet room, never heard a thing, not even people passing along the corridor. Very central for lots of theatres, bars restaurants, walkable to Buckingham Palace,... More

Pretty much at the bottom end of hotels - it was clean but zero frills. Bathroom looks like you might expect from your local school. Old style bath/taps-to-shower/shower curtain that I had thought were a thing of the past in modern hotel chains. My room had curtains permanently drawn as the view was of the rear balconies of p[private apartments... More

Covent Garden
Whether you're headed here to check out the multitude of shops, theaters, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, or simply to be among the multitude of people who pass through this pretty part of town, you'll love soaking up the festive and historic atmosphere in and around Covent Garden. Even if you don't have tickets to the opera or a show at one of the many famous theaters here, don't be surprised if find yourself captivated by some impromptu act of a street performer wowing the crowds in Covent Garden's Piazza. If you do have tickets, you'll be pleased to note that many of the local eateries accommodate theatergoers with prix fixe menus, early dinners, and later than usual opening hours.
