Clean, warm, efficient and very conveniently and centrally located. Will choose to stay there again in a heartbeat. Staff were welcoming and friendly. I chose a superior double room - well worth the £40 extra

We recently stayed in Hotel Russell and accepted an upgrade to a superior room, overlooking Russell Square. The room was great, with a kingsize bed and two comfortable chairs. It had secondary glazing and so traffic noise is muted, but still audible. The rooms are air conditioned, but the lowest temperature that can be set is 17C, which is a...

Stayed here in Feb. found it very expensive for what it was. Breakfast buffet-style was no better than in cheaper hotels. The room was very noisy above the delivery entrance. There is no double glazing so there were draughts and noise. Furniture more shabby than chic. The hotel staff were pleasant and very helpful. I have paid less in better...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your recent review on Tripadvisor. I am so sorry to read your comments regarding your recent stay with us. Breakfast is normally extremely popular at our Hotel due to the wide variety of fresh dishes we have available for our guests. We have found that our buffet style service has proven more favourable than that...

I stayed here for one night on business. As a single traveler, I was allocated probably one of the smallest rooms I have ever experienced with a tiny single bed. Bizarrely, there was no bedside light but instead there was a loose metal plate fixed to the wall at the same level as the bed against which it was firmly...

My husband bought me a weekend break and show tickets for my birthday. I looked at the reviews for the hotel and was a bit down about the bad reviews for the breakfast and the tired look of the hotel. We went thinking that we had to make the best of it but the hotel was lovely and we had...

A mixed review of this hotel, some good points, others not so. Just returned from a 3 day London break. The positives - Good clean rooms. Good location, by London standards in a quiet part of town. Right by Russell Square tube or failing that a 10 minute walk to Covent Garden. Lots of taxis to call in. Good few...

We had a great break here between 22 and 24th February 2013. The weather was exceptionally cold, so it was such a pleasure to return to a lovely warm welcoming hotel easily reached from Tube and train. Our shiny clean en-suite room (on the back of the hotel) was small but well decorated, with a comfortable double bed. There was...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
