Buyer beware: this is a Hilton called Waldorf, not a Waldorf Astoria brand hotel. I've stayed in many of the Hilton brand hotel in London for business purposes. I would say this hotel was ok. There were long queues for check in at 11pm on a Friday night and long queues for check out at 9.30 am on a Saturday... More

People there were very nice and accommodating. Room was comfotprtable but not very big for what we were charged. This hotel was centrally located for what we wanted to see. We did order a cot for our daughter since they had no more rooms. Cot was broken and they sent someone to fix it to no avail. My daughter made... More

My wife and I decided to treat the mother and father in law to a trip and 24hr experience to the Waldorf Hilton as they got engaged there 51yrs ago when my father in law also worked in the restaurant/grill room (that is now the gym and pool). We started our day with Champagne Cream Tea which was nice and... More

We came to London for our wedding anniversary with our friends and chose the Waldorf Hilton because of the location to the theatres and other places of interest to us. We found the buses easy to use with most stopping virtually outside the hotel. There was a good choice at breakfast and good service.

We have stayed at numerous Waldorf properties, and this is the bottom of the barrel. Tiny, no dresser, if you have stayed at airport hotels, you get the idea. Think long and hard about needing an American style hotel in London. Better choices and value are nearby.

The hotel is strategically located and next door to many theaters. Staff are helpful and the suite was excellent. However, house keeping were not up to the mark and they needed continues reminder to replenish shampoos and towels. Breakfast was good and the service was also good. As a diamond member, you guys should bent backward and offered some significant... More

Stayed here 3 nights with my wife. Really just love this location of this place. The staff is great and just a fabulous downtown location. Just a wee walk to Covent Gardens and tube and everywhere. Had drinks one night in hotel which was very nice. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Our room was very comfortable. Definitely stay again.... More

Not my first visit to The Waldorf but it could well be my last! The room was tiny, the bathroom was tired, fixtures are not being properly cleaned nor maintained. The wall mounted soap dish was on its side, the shower screen leaked with the rubber seal hanging off. The room had cobwebs on the ceiling, piles of dust just... More

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
