I asked to speak to the hotel manager and showed the clerk our reservation form clearly indicating that we had reserved connecting rooms... The clerk left and returned after about 10 minutes and informed us that the manager would not see us, but the good news was that they found two rooms on the same floor and one of the room would have a roll away cot... "Not acceptable" I said, but this had dragged on so long we were already late for our dinner reservation so I accepted the rooms "under protest", and said that we would revisit the matter when we returned later that night... After we explained our problem to him, he called their other affiliated hotels until he found one that could offer us connecting rooms...

    We had reserved a 2 bedroom family suite months in advance and when we arrived we were told our room was no longer available. They initially offered two rooms NOT joining for a 30% discount which I felt was not appropriate... We traveled with our 3 kids (ages 13 and 11 year old twins) We ended up in 2 separate rooms across the hall not ideal... I do think the staff felt bad and tried to make up for the error ( drinks and snacks) and we only were charged for one room BUT for such a big hotel chain and with the reputation of being Iconic I was extremely disappointed with such a major error...

    Paid for a suite for my husband, the Executive lounge food was poor, the bathrobes didn't fit a normal size adult, the shower leaked waterfall over the floor, the restaurant forgot half of our dinner on the one night we went for dinner in the hotel, the staff were miserable and did little to make you feel welcome or be attentive and on arrival, it took over na hour fornour cases to be brought to the room... It was a massive disappointment for the money spent and I will never stay there again...

Second time, digital key didn’t work again, had to go to front desk to be told that the room I’d checked into at 7pm hadn’t yet been cleaned - given a different room which when I came to use the shower in the morning was completely broken... Temperature controls in room also broken - on coldest setting still woke up in middle of the night far too warm...

    We went for Beauty and the Beast afternoon tea, for a hotel that has such an iconic position of grandeur and excellence, I can only describe our visit as dismal... You’d expect afternoon tea to come out on a tea stand, oh no, 3 finger sandwiches and 3 small open sandwiches on a plate almost the size of a dinner plate... All in all a very underwhelming experience and my wife and I both agreed that we have had far better for far less in other London hotels...

    From start to finish the whole experience was perfect. The staff (every single person) were lovely, true customer service!... From the doorman being so friendly and funny to the lovely ladies (waitographers) who served us... It was so nice to see the staff engaging with every table, working diligently and discreetly to turn over tables... The experience was made even more special by the arrival of a birthday plate with a slice of cake on it for my grandmothers birthday... Keep it up guys, amazing service!...

Our room was lovely and had everything we needed including a welcome sweet treat from the kitchen and a card, gift & advent calendar from the hotel... We had dinner in Homage and the food was both delicious and beautifully presented, prompt service appreciated as we had theatre tickets... Definitely the best hotel we have stayed in London...

    ...Check in was a nightmare with the rooms not being ready even after 3pm, as a Dimond member I ended up in the lounge and having them help me as reception was slow and crowded. The one shining example of service was in the Executive lounge where the person went out of there way to help me and bought some wine to make up for the shambolic arrival... No knock or anything and I was concerned so notified reception who said they would pass it on to house keeping...

Wakening up to a stocking filled with gifts from the hotel and a card on Christmas day was lovely... On boxing day evening, we returned to a plate of mince pies and clementines in our room... The bubby with breakfast on Christmas day was fab as were all the cheery, hard-working staff who looked after us throughout our stay... The staff in the homage bar were very friendly and chatty...     ...On arrival our room wasn’t ready so our luggage was stored until our return, annoyingly our key cards didn’t work so we had to go back to reception for this to be sorted. Our room was a superior king, on booking they noted it was my birthday but no acknowledgement of this during our stay... Good products in the bathroom, very clean and a comfortable bed... Breakfast is good although two mornings out of three they forgot to bring our coffee and one morning forgot to bring out our breakfast!... However the choice is good and served in a beautiful room... Concierge gave the wrong details on using the Uber boat, had to wait 15 minutes to speak to him whilst as he was in the phone only to be told wrong information, we worked it out ourselves and it was easy and efficient catching the boat to the o2 arena, for info boats do run earlier than 9.47am and you don’t need a ticket in advance!...

    Organised coach trip to include Afternoon Tea & overnight stay with breakfast. Room & bathroom nice, tea & coffee provided in room & very large TV... One pot of tea each (tea leaves), very pale gold weak tea... I complained to the waitress & asked for some more tea leaves to go in it, she told me that they cut open tea bags & empty the leaves into the pot!... The queue for breakfast was very long, we had to wait for people to leave before we could get a table - terrible for such a big hotel...

They have a very nice Homage restaurant for buffer breakfast... There is an Executive Lounge on the Executive Floor (one above lobby) that serves good quality good and drinks/alcohol... They provided better service in bringing various evening canapes to us on the table, rather than self serve on the table... We enjoyed our stay in Waldorf Hilton and can recommend the hotel highly...

    When I arrived at The Waldorf I was expecting polished check in staff who reflect the prestige of The Waldorf and who confirm that you are staying somewhere special. This was not the case, the girls who checked me in & out seemed to lack experience in hospitality, & management should address this... A warm welcome & a smile costs nothing and adds value to the guests experience... The concierge however, made up for what the check in & check out girls lacked... Even housekeeping had left a note saying have a good stay... The location of the hotel is easy to reach from Holborn & Covent Garden is just around the corner...

All of the staff we interacted with were polite and helpful even when subjected to two boisterous toddlers... The rooms were good, the bar staff were friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent especially catering for a table of 14... The restaurant manager could not have been more helpful and his staff were a credit... I must say he and his team went the extra mile for us culminating in my wife walking into the bar on Sunday evening to be confronted by all of the children & grandchildren...

The breakfast had a lot of variety, there was a buffet and separate the menu which you can order from which is included in the price... The setting of the restaurant is beautiful as well... Location is fantastic, so close to Covent Garden... Staff are very friendly, the doorman and the breakfast host (I didn’t catch their names) were so lovely... They managed to find it while we were out and put in back in our room which was so great... I paid extra for the birthday gold package and it was a really nice added touch...     We had a lovely stay at The Waldorf which is perfectly situated for a visit to the theatre and Covent Garden but also in walking distance of many central London attractions... Our room was lovely and had everything we needed including a welcome sweet treat from the kitchen and a card, gift & advent calendar from the hotel... Being a tea drinker I loved the addition of a teapot to the tea tray and the set up was in a cupboard which lit up when opened... Walk in wardrobe and blackout curtains also appreciated... We had dinner in Homage and the food was both delicious and beautifully presented, prompt service appreciated as we had theatre tickets... Definitely the best hotel we have stayed in London...

    ...Must acknowledge our front desk host Maritza Martin, who was very patient and helpful with all our questions. Having arrived in London we were greeted with to a damp and wet week, giving us the opportunity to take advantage of the Waldorf's location in the middle of the theatre and museum district... The Homage offered us a place to dine without venturing out in search of another restuarant, The rooms as always were lavish with views overlooking Aldwych... I highly recommend to anyone visiting London to either stay or make point of stopping by for a quick snack at the lounge to enjoy the Waldorf experience...

    ...The location is just superb, so close to Covent Garden and theatres and many Restaurants too. The rooms are extremely comfortable and the staff very attentive... The Bathrooms are traditional and have "Black & White" tiles which are timeless....some rooms have cavernous bathrooms!!... Bar food is excellent and the Breakfast is extensive with a Hot Buffet or dishes served from the Kitchen to order... I would always choose to stay at The Waldorf when I can get in at reasonable rates...

I think that the Waldorf is one of my favourites hotel in London. The staff and the entire team are just fantastic. I went to London from Manchester to go to Beyoncé’s concert. I always love to stay there, beautiful and charming hotel. I was checked in by Rose, she was so efficient, polite and kind. We got an upgrade and it made our stay even more special. Our room was big and beautiful, lovely for a good relaxing night. I’ve also had afternoon tea at the Homage restaurant and it was just incredible, they are doing a “ Beauty and the Beast “ themed afternoon tea and we loved it. Every single details from the table decoration to the food with all the most delicious ingredients to the harp sounds at the background. Ryan and Sophie looked after us for our afternoon tea and they’re just fantastic. So kind and polite both of them. They made sure to explain about all the sandwiches and sweets and the process of making. I was checked out by Olga at the front desk and she was adorable. This team go extra mile to make sure that you are comfortable and happy. Thank you so much to the entire team, you guys are doing a brilliant job, in special Thank you so much to Ana and Olga from the front desk Ryan and Sophie from the homage restaurant. Thank you. Firstly, the good… I was given a room upon early arrival (King Executive) and staying 3 nights. The breakfast in the Executive lounge is lovely. The bad… 1. No in-house pressing/laundry service (unexpected for a purportedly 5-star property) 2. Room is musty smelling 3. Dirty stained towels 4. After stating clearly I did not want delivery of a package to my room until my son’s arrival because I was planning to sleep after an overnight flight fro New York, WITH THE DO NOT DISTURB LIGHT AND TAG ON THE DOOR, much to my surprise when I was awakened when an employee entered my bedroom with his key to deliver the package. 5. After complaining to management about the unauthorized entry, a gentleman knocked on the door twice (privacy light still was on with tag on the door) to deliver laundry. It was someone else’s not mine. 5. Housekeeping did not replenish coffee/biscuits or water. We had to phone to get this. 6. There was a drip from the ceiling. Engineering came - saw the drip on the rig and the spot on the ceiling beam - and recommended a room change that never was realized. 7. Came back from Executive lounge where room key worked to enter but upon return our keys were deactivated. For 1,000 GBP per night I expect WAY BETTER!!!! Do not stay at the Waldorf London - it’s no longer a gem in London.

Admittedly a splurge, but well worth it. My room was large, (with a bathtub). The breakfast was great. (a bit busy, but the staff was very efficient). The location was great, Charing Cross and Covent Garden tube stops are less than a ten minute walk.

Stopped over for a night - we’d been working and had tickets for a show for a special occasion. Arrived early and were able to leave our heavy work bags with the concierge which was very much appreciated. When we came back to check in fully, there was a minor problem with our room and we were upgraded but had to wait a touch longer. No problem at all, we had a drink then checked back and we’re given our executive lounge access with the room key to follow. The executive lounge is fantastic - a great selection of hot canapés and snacks plus drinks in very comfortable surroundings. Irina couldn’t have been more helpful in getting our room sorted when we were starting to become pressed for time. Room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean. Fantastic shower, great toiletries by TempleSpa and very comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making facilities plus a fridge ensured we had everything we needed. After the show, we enjoyed some delicious cocktails in the Godfrey bar - perfect service and the best dirty Martini I’ve ever had (olives served on ice - yum). A good night sleep and hot bath in the morning followed by a delicious buffet breakfast in the Exec Lounge and a generous check out time added up to a wonderful stay. Can’t recommend this highly enough - we’ve done a few high end hotels and left feeling a bit short changed but this is a different level. Service and staff are first class and we’ll definitely stay again.

We didn’t stay in the hotel but had a meal in the restaurant. The food and service were exceptional. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Nicola, Navada and a very pleasant and gentle French girl called Noah made our evening extra special. Would highly recommend a visit

Booked 2 nights for our wedding anniversary and because it is next door to the Aldwych Theatre where we were going to see a show on our second night. Service was impeccable, and every member of staff was really friendly and helpful, from arrival to departure. Special mentions to Dean the doorman, with whom we had a good conversation and laugh every time we entered and went out, the team in the Homage restaurant where we had our anniversary dinner, and the lady on reception, whose name we sadly didn’t get, for her time and advice. A special occasion made even more special, we hope to return in the not too distant future

My wife and I decided to spend our last night in London at this property for easy exploring of downtown London before we headed back to the USA. I decided to use some of my Honors points to buy down the room price. However, 45,000 points and 187.45 GBP should at least afford you a clean room (see pictures). I'm a long time Hilton patron and frequently use their properties for work travel. Never have I had this poor quality of an accommodation across the Hilton property portfolio. In my opinion, this was a shameful example of the brand. The staff was polite enough and refunded my night but attempted to assert that I would be forfeiting my points since I had already checked in. They yielded once they determined they were fully booked and had no alternative rooms to offer. All in all, I shouldn't have had to "fight" for reclaiming my points when this was obviously their problem. I made the issue known, I showed them the pictures, and they should have simply presented options to make things right and whole. As I said, the staff was polite enough but apparently not overly focused on customer satisfaction or upholding a certain standard for the Hilton brand.

Afternoon Tea, After a previous bad experience at at the Waldorf we went again and were absolutely blown away with their winter tea. The ballroom/restaurant has beautiful ambient lighting and lovely lit up trees, the table is nicely decorated and we were well looked after, favourites? well too many to mention, the parsnip and apple soup, the little tarts and the delicious freshly baked scones, it really was a wonderful couple of hours and back to the good old Waldorf. The whole afternoon was made even more memorable by our fabulous waiter Nevada, he really took care of us and made us feel like very welcome returning guests, which we were. Thank you once again.
