My husband and I had 1 day and 1 night in London on our way to Ireland. Our flight arrived as an overnight flight from Halifax, which is about 6 hours in length. Of course when we arrived, we were exhausted but it was far too early to check in. We went out to explore London for a short while...

The location is superb. Our unit was very quiet & clean. Citadines provides everything one needs for an extended stay. We appreciate the small kitchen in the units to prepare breakfasts. We had been on a very hectic month long tour in South Africa which involved restaurant meals the entire time so appreciated the ability to relax & have breakfast...

The location of this hotel is excellent for seeing the major attractions of London (walking distance to the eye, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, etc), but the hotel itself is mediocre for the price. Rooms are small, maid service is not offered daily, bathroom amenities are minimal and breakfast is not included (and charge is high for the breakfast offered). It...

Nice clean apartment, good beds. Close to almost subway and buses. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, the apartment was clean and there was enough space for all of us 5 people. The staff was very nice and helpful. Next time in London we will book this hotel again.

Great start! We were shown to our studio and told if we needed any fresh towels etc to just ask. The studio was lovely...

Problem at check in, level of service and attitude needs improvement. Procedures should be consistent and fair to all guests regardless of nationality. Very disappointed with the stay and will not recommend to other travellers.

Pretty decent hotel; I thought the price was fair based on the amenities, room, etc. Great location, too! Near Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, etc. The hallways on my floor looked a little dirty, but nothing too crazy. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We stayed here for three nights in March on a business trip. The hotel is very conveniently located - close to Trafalgar Square, Jubilee Bridge and two tube stations. Could put up with the lack of prompt service and patched walls but there was no excuse for the mold around the tub. Homeless people are all around the property and become very vocal and aggressive after dark.

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighborhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
