Pros; the location is amazing, super easy access to many tube stations and options, very easy to get around from here Having the kitchenette is also handy especially to avoid paying for breakfast Cons; plumbing is noisy. Pillows were very uncomfortable Main issue for us was that we stayed 6 nights and didn’t have our room cleaned. They tried to come at 3pm on the last day we were there but it was way too late at that point. They may not have even tried to come then if I didn’t go ask for toilet paper etc the day before. The staff didn’t seem too bothered by the fact we didn’t have our room cleaned They try to charge you £50 for early check in and £15 if you want your room cleaned more than they would normally do (it’s supposed to be once during 6 night stay)

We had a really lovely stay at this hotel the location is brilliant for everywhere either walking distance or for public transport only being two minutes down the road from Trafalgar Square. Breakfast was fantastic with having a buffet option the staff were really helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and fresh even having everything you need, it was nice that we was able to leave our bags for the day before travelling home.

We paid extra for a studio room as we were staying 5 nights and thought the extra space would be useful and it was a great location so paid more than the alternatives. the room was not as big as it looked on booking.com photos, was not clean and the room also had a good amount of wear and tear, in need of some repairs. It was hot in London and the air conditioning broke down for 3 nights. We Asked for a wake up call but didn’t get one. I’m not sure how some places get their rating these days, who is checking what is being advertised against what is being delivered?

This hotel was perfect for what I needed - a family base after a long international flight. The hotel was clean and functional. It's not a place for a romantic getaway, but it's fantastic as a base from which to explore central London. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a laundry room on site (on the mezzanine level) and they have an ice machine in there too. The kitchen area is perfect for heating up meals from shops around the corner (Marks and Spencer food is a couple of streets away at Charing Cross). Would definitely recommend it.

We arrived at 7 am, we had booked and paid for the rooms so that we had them From the night prior to our arrival so that when we arrive early in the morning we don’t have to wait till check in time at 3 o’clock. The receptionist still tried to tell us that our rooms were not ready yet, we told her that can not be the case because we paid for last night which means the rooms should have been ready and available from last night. We ended up getting the rooms. Cleaning is every 6 days for all the rooms. The Pillows were hard as a rock, sheets rough. Urine smell in the bathrooms. We asked them to change the room because they smell so bad, the woman manager called back and said all the rooms are the same (we guess she meant smell). Toilet plumbing was attached to the sink, when you flush the toilet the faucet turns on so you wash your hands and fill up the tank at the same time.  Every smell from the other rooms and food end up in yours. Hallway smells really bad and the Carpet in hallway insanely dirty. Doors and walls beat up.  We asked them on the first day to come and change the shower curtain because it smelled like urine and mildew folded together. They did. We asked where are the hand and face towels, she said we don’t have. However we ended iup getting some 6 days later on cleaning day. No fans in bathroom.  Furniture in the room old and dirty.  We booked two rooms, one room and 1 apartment for 10 days. I asked the front desk to let us check out an hour late for just one room and they said No. The location of the hotel is great but that is about it. Probably one of the most disgusting places we ever stayed in with horrible service.

LOCATION: Great sights within easy walking distance in every direction: National and Portriat Galleries, the theatre district, Covent Garden, the Thames, Admiralty Arch leading to the Mall (and Buck Pal if Her Maj is expecting you) and of course Trafalgar Square. Embankment and Charing Cross tube staions are each less than 5 minutes' walk away, Leicester Square less than 10. APARTMENT: I was travelling alone and booked a studio. It was spacious and light with windows overlooking trees and classic architecture of Northumberland Avenue. Very comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen, good shower, everything I needed including peace and quiet. SERVICE: Exemplary. The reception team are welcoming, knowledgable and helpful. As was everyone else from the smiling housekeepers to the handyman. Great atmosphere. ONE REGRET: I only stayed a week but felt so at home I wished it was two. Next time ...

This is considered an Apart-Hotel, meaning the rooms are not serviced/cleaned on a regular basis. Excellent location next to many major sites and public transportation. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed ten nights with a family of four in a one bedroom apartment. The best single word to describe this hotel is "disappointing". Rooms are dark, old and dirty. Mould is visible all over the shower area. This place needs a serious remodelling. Rooms look nothing like those shown in the pictures. The worst problem is their staff. Either they're just not interested in helping the guests, or they're incompetent. The sink was slow in draining and needed attention. They had it fixed six days into our stay and that was after I complained every day. I had an early train out of Saint Pancras on Sunday morning and asked one of the staff to book a taxi for me for next morning. She made a phone call but at the end she couldn't get one booked- apparently they only work with one company that didn't have a driver that early in the morning. I managed to deal with it later on using a taxi app. The only thing positive is the location of this property. However, with the price they charge, there are many hotels nearby that are far superior.

I booked this hotel for 7 nights over the Queen's Jubilee in June '22 and it was a perfect stay. I was a little nervous since the reviews here tended to be hit or miss but mine was an absolute hit! Best Features: - LOCATION - you're steps away from both Embankment and Charing Cross stations so you can get just about anywhere on the tube in no time. There are also many convenient bus stops nearby at Trafalgar and along the Strand so transport was never a problem. There's also a taxi stand at Charing Cross so that made it very easy to find a cab. - KITCHEN - as soon as I arrived, I grabbed groceries from the Tesco Express on The Strand. It is only a 10 minute walk and has a much bigger and better selection that a couple other small groceries that are closer. Being a solo traveler, I wasn't planning to dine out much so having a small fridge (which worked great) was perfect. There were cooking implements, a cooktop stove and a microwave, but I didn't use them so I'm not sure how well they worked. I could smell other guests cooking when I left my room sometimes, so it seems they work fine! They also had plates, utensils, glassware and fresh cleaning clothes and dishtowels. - ROOM - my room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I faced the road on the 3rd floor but amazingly I never had traffic waking me up or get too noisy. The windows also opened a little to get some fresh air, which was great. Housekeeping service was only once during my stay but I prefer that and don't have a problem hanging up and reusing towels. The front desk offered to replace any towels upon request as well, so you could get new ones if you needed them. The housekeeping crew also washed the dishes I had used, which I wasn't expecting and felt a little guilty for leaving them! - SECURITY - you need a key to enter the front door, use the elevator, and to access your room. I liked all these features and felt it was a very safe place to be. I arrived early, but the front desk staff opened the door as soon as I buzzed the entry bell near the door and they let me check in early as well, which was very much appreciated! Poor Features: Really only one - the bathroom. The bathtub is set up off the floor at least 8 inches. I'm almost 6 feet tall, so it wasn't hard to step up and in/out over the side of the tub but it was a little precarious once you're dripping wet and for someone who is shorter I think that would be harder to navigate. There is also just a shower curtain, which blows in towards you as you shower, so it was hard to not have a wet, clingy shower curtain getting stuck to me every day. The bottom of the white curtain was black in a few spots, so it was either moldy or stained. The bathtub is also very narrow, so I wasn't able to stand facing the showerhead because I'd keep bumping the wall or shower curtain every time I tried moving around, so I ended up standing perpendicular to the showerhead, which made it harder to bathe but at least I could avoid the clingy shower curtain! The also only had one small tube of shampoo/body wash available. I had read this in someone else's review, so I brought my own toiletries. I did not experience any foul smells as has been reported in other reviews. The towels were pretty thin, but everything functioned well and the water pressure was great and water was always hot. The bathroom was truly the only negative in an otherwise fantastic place! I would absolutely stay here again!

Stayed at the Citadines Trafalgar Square for 4 nights with my wife and 3 children. Great location and within walking distance to many tourist attractions, Covent Garden, London Eye and Charing Cross and Embankment stations. Check-in was a breeze, and the staff were friendly. We enjoyed the free coffee and tea, and the breakfasts were free for children under 7. The breakfast was above average but more than enough for us: English breakfast items, waffles, toast, jam/nutella spread, juices, fruit, etc. Our room was a 1 bedroom "suite". The sofa bed consisted of 2 twin-size beds, and the bedroom included 1 full-size bed. Luckily, we did not spend a whole lot of time in the room. Pictures definitely made the room seem bigger than it really is. The room and bathroom could have used a bit of renovating/upgrading. The kitchen, fridge and microwave were convenient, however. There is a Sherlock Holmes pub next door so it can get pretty loud at nights. Our room was also next to the trash dispenser so there was an unpleasant smell in the hallway leading up to our door. Overall, the location and proximity to nearby attractions and venues were why we booked this hotel, and we we were pleased.
