The Hilton London Angel Islington stands out for its central location, favored by guests for its proximity to vibrant bars, restaurants, and easy transport via Angel Tube station. While the hotel's amenities, including comfortable bedding and a varied breakfast, receive praise, some travelers have encountered issues with room maintenance and event accessibility. Despite the overall clean and well-kept environment, the comfort and modern decor of the rooms are somewhat overshadowed by reports of noise, air conditioning problems, and inconsistent room quality. Guests appreciate the friendly service but sometimes question the value, pointing out high prices and extra charges.

Check in was handled super efficiently by Ammi, who has a great personality and is an asset to the brand..I was an hour early, but she managed to check me in, and as my room wasn’t quite ready, she found an alternative - room 320, which was an upgrade…
There are two lifts to all 4 floors. My room comprises of a safe, tea/coffee making facilities, a large screen TV, with all the Freeview channels, Iron, ironing board - and a lovely king size bed, which was extremely comfortable.
The bathroom has the usual condiments, also no bath, but a power shower…
Breakfast is from 7am every day, I find that a little late, as during the week I would be happier from 6am. There is. Good choice of food, including my favourite - fresh mushrooms…
There is a 24 hour gym, which is tiny, but a good balance of weights and cardio machines…
It’s all a little pricy, and serves mostly as a business hotel, but it is very central to all local attractions in Angel, and some amazing restaurants close by…

This hotel is well known to us as the place we choose to stay on almost all visits to London and as a suitable base for going further afield. Underground parking is convenient if a little expensive and on this occasion, with public transport still unpredictable, we used the car a lot - there are no in and out arrangements. This review reflects the experiences of a four night stay, our first at this hotel in the COVID transition period but the fifth hotel in the same period.

There are, of course, a lot of differences from before. Not all make for a pleasant experience but the staff work hard to compensate at a time of low occupancy. Breakfast is grab and go but of a pretty high standard having evolved from something less ambitious. At the beginning of the stay, our order was inaccurately handled but every aspect improved. I do not agree at all with the closure of the restaurant but factors such as the low occupancy and availability of staff come into play and I am hopeful that improvements will be evident during our next stay later this month. Realistically, the lack of dinner is not a big problem as the neighbouring area is crowded with restaurants most of which are operating. I have many recommendations withing walking distance of the hotel.

In accordance with industry practice, housekeeping is not offered daily unless specifically requested. We found that requests for teabags etc. were met quickly and accurately. Leaving our bin outside met with mixed results and there was not much evidence of a regular presence in the corridors. The room itself provides everything we need in terms of comfort and work space but, not unusually for a hotel, the shower controls were a bit opaque and the step into the bath quite considerable. Our room window did not close completely and noise (not too much) leaked in.

The hospitality industry is all about warmth, welcoming and engagement. The current environment of underused hotels is not conducive to any of the foregoing but the staff at Islington are working very hard to make it as nice as possible and, as mentioned, we shall be going back soon.

I’ve stayed at Hilton Hotels before, however I am unsure if I would stay at one again. Nonetheless, it is important to consider that Covid has had a massive impact on the hotel and will have made everything a lot more difficult!
The bed was pretty hard, which some people like but personally it isn’t for me! The pillows were pretty soft.
The room was quite spacious which was nice, a lot of space to put things away and good wardrobe space which is handy if you are a heavy packer like me!
The room was not the cleanest room I’ve stayed in unfortunately. Found a few stains on the carpet and on the chair. Nothing overly offensive and fine if you aren’t bothered by that, but personally not for me. Found a few black, long hairs throughout the room and bathroom which couldn’t belong to me because I have really light hair (haha!). Again, not a massive issue.
The room itself could have done with a bit of TLC perhaps, some hand prints on the glass etc and mirrors and glass elements slightly smeary. This could have just been a one off though :)
Due to Covid, housekeeping don’t clean the room unless requested which I was personally not overly happy with. I would prefer to have an ‘opt-out’ scheme for the housekeeping, so if you felt uncomfortable with your room being cleaned you could opt-out of this service. We had room service and were unsure of what to do with our tray etc. Again, felt a bit uncomfortable leaving it outside the door but did as instructed. Made the hotel look a bit messy, as I saw other guest’s bowls etc as I walked down the hall. Again, this could just be due to the Covid situation making everything 100x more difficult for the hotel!
The staff overall were really friendly and helpful, very welcoming.
Service in the restaurant was slightly slow before ordering, however the food was good quality and value :)
Parking facilities were good and the discounted rate was great- parking can be incredibly expensive but this discounted rate was a massive bonus.
The hotel is in a good location, not far from the tube station which is great.

Overall, the hotel was okay. On reflection, I would consider staying again if necessary after Covid to give a fair judgement, however the room definitely required TLC.

Like many fellow guests we stayed here for the Arsenal match last night And watched them beat Man Utd yay ! We stayed here a couple of years ago but it's been completely refurbished to a high standard and is very stylish now. Great staff nice decor and room. Walking distance to Emirates stadium or kings cross Eurostar. On upper st so has a choice of a hundred restaurants and bars within a minute walk. Executive lounge has nice furniture but it's fairly small and the food and drink offering in the evening was quite limited. Also 3 min walk to Angel tube so handy and cheap if you're doing tourist stuff in London being half the price of more central London hotels

In this time of Covid I'm always cautious about hotel stays; however this hotel has everything in place for the safety of its guests. (Clean Stay. full information on the Hilton site) This excellent hotel is located at the Angel Islington next to the Business Design Centre about a 5 minute walk from the Angel tube station. The newly refurbished hotel has beautifully appointed rooms well equipped with A/C, TV, tea & coffee facilities, with either bath or shower etc. Upon arrival I received a warm welcome at the check in. I had checked in online before and my room was beautifully prepared. Whilst the executive lounge is closed because of Covid the hotel is offering drinks in the bar i.e. house wine, beers, and snacks in the evening. (Table service) There is a limited menu available which is reasonably priced. Just to add the service provided by Isaac in the evening of my stay went above and beyond to make me feel at home. A full breakfast is available which excellent and the staff (Alex and the chef) provides a first class service.

My wife and I stayed 4 wonderful nights at this hotel. The room is good but what made our stay so perfect was the personnels. They made us feel at home, were very friendly and very helpful. There were sanitizers at the entrance, by the lifts and inside the lifts. All personnels were wearing masks and always sanitizing their hands. We felt very safe at this hotel. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Hilton Islington.

Room not ready until about an hour after arrival, given key to executive lounge (which was already included in my rate) which offered very limited refreshments. Digit room key didn’t work. Junior suite felt more like a large family room. Weirdly small and uncomfortable seating area in a large room, furniture clearly designed for a much smaller room. ‘1/2 bottles of wine’ on the room description was actually one 1/4 bottle - not a big deal, I don’t drink wine but was one of a number of things advertised that were not on offer, no water, none of the ‘additional toiletries’, generally not what I had signed up for. ‘Executive lounge breakfast included’ was not available and after some discussion I was offered breakfast in the restaurant. Two messages sent on the app during my stay, neither of them received an answer.

Nice location and smart communal areas but for me there were just too many annoying little issues which affected my enjoyment of my stay. I would still consider this hotel if I were visiting the Islington design centre because it’s literally next door but probably go for a standard room and treat it like a standard hotel without expectations of luxury.

This hotel was perfect for our 6 night stay in London. As Diamond members, we enjoyed the Executive Lounge and the breakfast buffet with many great options including delicious pastries, fresh fruit and a made-to-order omelet station.

All of the staff we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, kind and helpful.

The location is convenient since it is near the Angel underground station and some key bus routes. We enjoyed the neighborhood with the surrounding pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, book stores, and Amazon Fresh.

We appreciated the spacious room with nice amenities such as USB plug-ins near the bed, a large bathroom with a large shower, nice towels, a fridge, a safe and a good view of the London skyline.

Stayed at the Hilton Angel for a two night stay in the Junior Suite with its own Private Terrace on the 4th floor.

The suite was very spacious with lots of natural light coming in. The suite consists of two rooms, lounge with patio doors leading up some steps onto this vast private terrace with table and chairs catered for 4 people.

The views were absolutely spectacular overlooking the skyline of London, views of the Shard, London Eye, St Paul Cathedral, Canary Wharf and the Walkie Talkie buildings to name a few were in direct eyeline.

The views are even more amazing especially at night drinking a glass of wine on the terrace made our stay an unforgettable experience.

The suite itself had everything you could want from a television in both the bedroom and lounge, mini bar, large wardrobes, power shower, Tchibo Cafissimo etc it was superb.

The hotel along with all other hoteliers had to conform with government guidance relating to Covid 19, we were not able to fully experience the food and beverages as it was all on a limited menu, however we had complimentary room service and executive lounge privileges which were ample under the circumstances.

The hotel also benefits from a small fitness suite on the 4th floor.

The bed was extremely comfortable, the suite was scrupulously clean and the staff were attentive and very professional.

The hotel is directly in the center of bustling Angel district with numerous restaurants underground station, high street shops and bars all within a few minutes walking. distance.

Would highly recommend this Hilton Angel, will definitely stay again.

Just a few minutes walk from Angel Underground, multiple bus routes to the city center, and surrounded by a wide variety of restaurants, the Hilton Islington is a good choice. Prices are high for what you get - even as a Diamond member our room was small and boxy, although the AC did work on a scorching hot weekend. Black mold around base of shower stall was a problem and I advised reception staff that it needed attention before the next guest checked in - bleach would help!! Breakfast buffet is good and staff are helpful. The Executive Lounge is small with a selection of tea/coffee during the day, and a mini-breakfast buffet in the mornings.
