The Radisson Blu Edwardian Grafton Hotel in London is often admired by guests for its luxurious ambience and central location, with easy access to attractions and eateries. The hotel, according to many guests, excels in maintaining cleanliness and providing useful amenities, though some aspects such as decor and appliances could use updating. Despite the commendable service, some travelers felt it was inconsistent. A common issue raised by guests was the noise level, small room size, and subpar lighting. Furthermore, some guests felt the hotel didn't provide good value for money, citing unexpected charges and subpar rooms.

Location wise this hotel is certainly in a prime location, just steps away from key tube stations and being in a prime location... What I got was a room on the first level of the hotel, which meant you could hear (and feel the shake) of the trains from the London underground directly below... ...Rooms were clean, beds comfortable... Check in was easy and quick, and we were able to get into the room early which was handy... The first room we were given had a bad smell and a whirring noise from the plumbing - reception were very happy to change it for us... They also left us a birthday cake in the room because we'd said on our booking that it was for a birthday... No complaints at all really, apart from the fact that almost £300 per room per night is a lot for an ordinary hotel...

We are being advised to cancel our reservations instead of helping us to resolve the problems as I paid $739.81 a night for a family room and we were given a smaller room... It was New Year's Eve and there are not much available other hotels at the time... I made two reservations, one night December 31-January 1 and January 1- January 4... ...My standard room was overlooking one of the side streets off Tottenham Court Road and was a decent size. The room was on varying levels meaning steps down into the bedroom area, and a climb into the bathroom, which during the day made it feel more like a smart apartment, but at night made navigating around a little difficult given there were no dim or night lights... The bedroom area itself was spacious enough with a large desk and areas to keep luggage... The worse aspect of the room ended up being the lighting, which although had switches next to the bed was nothing more the bright on or off, which with the steps at night wasn’t the most relaxing... Overall the room was nice and comfortable...

...Upon entering the hotel, you are greeted by an overpowering smell of cheap perfume or air freshener which also seemed to linger in the rooms... I was presented with the card machine and the (extortionate) price that I was told needed paying... As it was already quite late, I had no way of contacting my company and was forced to use my personal credit card which I agreed to have a 'holding fee' of £1,50 charged until the payment could be confirmed by my company... Unfortunately, although the virtual card was confirmed, I now have a pending transaction on my personal card for one night's stay AND the holding fee, which is strange, as to book anything on the card, I would have needed to enter my pin etc, which I certainly didn't... While sounds from guests and traffic are outside of Radisson's control, I still feel at the price they are charging per night, there should be at least a little more care taken to ensure appropriate sound proofing is in place... I would not recommend staying at this hotel unless it's the last possible option and you are prepared for a bad experience...

So where do I start, £317.50 for a single bed and deafened by the noise of Tottenham Court Road... Then went down to the lobster bar for a pint, probably the flattest pint of lager I have ever had, sent it back and told the rest of the barrel is like that?... Breakfast only from 7.00 and remarkably food wise below average for a £10 cafe, not a £317.50 a night hotel... Finally as I was checking out, I was told the bill was £317.50, and I had to pay it slightly confused, in case work had made a mistake I paid it... Get into work, guess what they paid it, a few hours on the phone for my colleague discovering various degrees of more incompetence, 5-10 days for a refund...

...It is well situated, the rooms are comfortable and quiet, the breakfast is exceptional... I was treated very well as a premium member of Radisson's rewards program... That said, my stay was less than ideal, specifically based on unexpected charges when I was departing... I had booked a points based reservation, but even before I arrived, I noticed that my reservation details indicated that I would face room charges in addition to the points... Unfortunately, we didn't have a good time in the Radisson Blu Edwardian Grafton Hotel, London. The brand positions itself in a mid-high class, but it is miles away, at least in this branch... ...The room was a good temperature and there are controls available to adjust this to your liking... The restaurant (despite having tables available to book until 11pm on Open Table) advised us that last orders to the kitchen could be no later than 10:15pm... We used the hotel app to order room service but found after a long wait that this had not gone through to the kitchen... Upon check out we explained our frustration at having to chase our order and our room service bill was significantly adjusted to reflect this and we were happy that the hotel had dealt with this without any fuss... We would stay here again and recommend the hotel to others, but would suggest calling room service from the room phone rather than using the app just in case if you wanted to eat in your room...

I made my booking directly with them online using their app and left instructions that I would need a baby cot... I also gave them a call a week before travelling to make sure that would be arranged... Tried to call reception many times and no one was answering... So I had to go to the lobby and wait in a long queue with other guests arriving while was already way past bedtime for my 5-month-old baby..... Let me say, first and foremost, that the Grafton is a great hotel. It is well situated, the rooms are comfortable and quiet, the breakfast is exceptional... The buffet consists of an extraordinary array of breakfast foods, and one can order from the menu for individually made items like French Toast... my friend , whom I've left recently to pick our hotels, has done a good job on getting us decent hotels. this hotel provided us all we ever ask for. Friendly staff, a nice looking hotel, in a good district to all what we need. A decent bed, room size, bathroom. A breakfast, with good choices, plentiful. Left this hotel, more then satisfied. Cheers

Dear reader, I booked two rooms for 4 night at Radisson Grafton London. The hotel is situated in a central zone, 50m far away to Warren metro station which makes your easier your life if you want to visit London. The breakfast is a quality one and the staff is ok. If you book a room during the winter be aware that some rooms are not well heated. For example room 121, 231 has 14-16 Celsius during the night. After this experience my kids left the holiday with fever. I don't recommend this hotel during the winter only if you are sure you can get a fair room.

We have stated at the Radisson Grafton for a number of years and never had a stay like this one …. We had room number 168 and it was the worst room we have ever stayed in !!! It was cold , noisy and the “ hot towel rail fixture” was cold, the windows were extremely drafty ( more like a Gail blowy through them), extremely disappointing. I reported it to the reception when we checked out and the senior engineer said he would look into it and they apologised. We also paid £1.50 on my credit card for “ just in case purposes “ and was told we’d have it reimbursed! But it’s still on my account….. So all in all a very disappointing visit.

We expected a little more from a Radisson Blu and also for the price paid. However the location is good especially for sightseeing with the tube right around the corner. Rooms were very small as well as the bathroom. Carpets were dirty and used and the view out the window was on another old building. Not very pleasing stay all in all.

A truly exceptional stay! The staff went above & beyond to make my boyfriend’s birthday so special, as well as being so helpful with restaurant recommendations. We were so pleasantly surprised to be given a free upgrade to a Junior Suite upon arrival but the cherry on top was the bottle of bubbly & cake awaiting us in the room after a day of exploring Camden. Thank you so much to all of the staff, and we’ll definitely be back!

We were staying at this hotel the night before my wife was due to give birth via an induction at UCH. Firstly they gave us an upgrade due to our situation. This was much appreciated. Secondly on the day we were due to check out , we were delayed so they let us have the room until 2pm and then offered it to us for the same lower rate that we booked a smaller room for encase we had to stay another night. Very understanding and helpful management which was much appreciated. Great customer care. Well done.

Convenient location at the north end of Tottenham Court Road. A bit of character to the building. Some white noise from AC units inside and outside the room made it hard to fall asleep. No bedside lamps, just a too-bright overhead light which can be switched on from the bed. Bed was comfy enough, bathroom was fine. Yet another hotel room where the hairdryer, which was hard- wired into a drawer, won’t reach the mirror. The breakfast room was bright and pleasant and I enjoyed the breakfast.

The location is the best, central and close to amenities. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful when you have any issue. Only reason I gave 3 starts to sleep quality is the noice outside - sometimes it’s impossible to sleep well - I would have expected the noise isolation to be better at Radisson given its location and, price of the rooms and the busy area it’s located. Overall great though fantastic hotel.

Dear kika385, It is heartening to read your kind words about our central location and our amazing staff. We are indeed very proud of our team and their dedication to providing exceptional service to all our guests. Your experiences are a testament to their hard work. Our location in London's vibrant Fitzrovia is indeed something we cherish. Being within walking distance of cultural hubs like Covent Garden, Soho, and Oxford Street, as well as a variety of renowned theatres including the Dominion Theatre and the Shaftesbury Theatre, is one of the unique advantages our guests enjoy. However, we acknowledge your concerns about the noise levels. Our hotel is situated in a lively neighborhood, and while many guests appreciate the vibrance of the location, we understand that it might not be ideal for everyone. It's regrettable to hear that it affected your sleep quality during your stay. We strive to ensure our guests have a pleasant experience, and we regret any inconvenience caused. In spite of the noise issue, we are delighted that you found our hotel fantastic overall. We look forward to welcoming you back and ensuring your next stay is even more enjoyable.
