We were re-located here by the Kenilworth (see my separate review for the dim view I took on this) and as such we were somewhat disgruntled on arrival. As the Kenilworth hotel seems to make a habit of this, it must be exasperating for the Grafton hotel staff to welcome guests who have been moved to a completely different location without notice! That said, front of house greeted us impeccably and with good grace. William went the extra mile to handle our complaint with kindness and professionalism. Despite not being in our chosen part of London, we had a most pleasant stay. The room was absolutely fine with extremely comfy beds. Tottenham Court Road is obviously noisy but as we were on a higher floor it wasn’t a problem. Shame on you, Kenilworth, and well done team Grafton!
We got bumped from the Radisson Kenilworth which seems to be a regular occurrence. However, don’t panic because the Grafton is fine. Okay it might not have as swish reception area, but the staff are great and the rooms are absolutely fine. I can’t figure out why other reviews say the rooms are small. Goodness knows where those folk normally stay when in a city centre. The hotel is on Tottenham Court Road…which is busy and often frequented by police, fire, ambulance sirens….so request a quiet room at the back. Granted the view is onto roofs and other buildings but hey, when in London you should be out and about after a good nights sleep. Oh and have breakfast. Huge selection of everything…and nicely presented. With a bit of luck you’ll be served by the lovely Victoria…attentive, efficient and chatty. The perfect host.…
I nearly missed the hotel as I didn’t find the signage very obvious. The reception area is impressive with friendly staff. The room was fairly small but sufficient and the bathroom was very small but fine, with nice toiletries. The location is great - close to tube stations and restaurants, and walking distance to Oxford street and beyond. Breakfast was great with a really good choice of items including sourdough, smashed avocado, pastries, hot food (some to order too) and nice juices. The waiting staff were really friendly too. The main negative was how noisy the room was during the night. I was on a fairly low floor facing Tottenham Court Road and I could hear everything from outside -buses, conversations etc.
Overall pleasant stay. Room a bit tired, but love the tea pot and mini fridge. Frustrating that there is no electrical outlet in bath that would allow me to dry hair, which seems typical of older properties in London. Had to dry at a mirror with no vanity or desk in an area with poor lighting; design could have made that better with a small vanity and lamp. Walls thin, so a lot of noise, and a/c old and loud. Overall, though, the stay was pleasant and the location was perfect for my business needs. Front desk staff were very professional and helpful.
Really helpful staff. Processed a really quick check in. Very clean throughout the Hotel. Including the room. Bathroom was spotless. The Hotel is located right beside Warren Street Station so its very easy getting around London and getting back safely to the Hotel. I would stay here again.
Excellent stay at hotel. Very clean and exceeded expectations. Would definitely comeback again! Check-in was easy and staff were very accomodating. Close to all facilities and amenities and right next to a train station. Easy to get around.
We had a lovely stay here. Staff were so friendly. We mentioned it was our anniversary and they arranged a bottle of prosecco and cheesecake. Really great experience and would definely recommend anyone to stay here.
I did not have a preconceived idea of what to expect of the hotel. However, I quickly realized this is a quality property which is extremely well-run. The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. The property was clean and it is obvious the management cares about service and attention to detail.
Came for two nights for a wedding and our 30th wedding anniversary..we were upgraded on arrival to a lovely suite on 5th floor ..got a bottle of wine a card and a cake ...we were greeted by a lovely member of staff Naomi. Lovely comfy bed lovey breakfast and all the staff very courteous and friendly .This was our third stay here and would recommend it ..in a fantastic position right on the bus route ..
The hotel is in a great place in London, easy walking distance to Soho and other places. We expected a better room and service as we have stayed with Radisson Blu before. The room was overpriced as.the size was small and the bathroom tiny. The bed was very comfortable. The reception is not welcoming. However, our breakfasts and the restaurant staff were very good.
