We have just returned from a two night stay at the Ashburn. The hotel was ideal for us visiting a show at the Royal Albert Hall, walking distance of about 15 mins. Gloucester Road Tube Station was just around the corner (6mins walk). We had a King Double room overlooking the main road, but it was lovely and peaceful due to the double glazed windows, we didn’t hear any traffic. The bed was sooo comfy, it was hard to get out of in the morning!! Breakfast wasn’t originally included in our booking as it was stopped due to Covid, but on arrival we were informed it had restarted and we could purchase a continental for £9.50 or a Full English for an extra £7ish each, we opted for the continental which was more than enough for us. Others have said that the hotel is showing its age and there was some evidence of this, every time we flushed the loo the pipes sounded like someone was hoovering next door, but to us this just added to the character of the property and wasn’t an issue. All the staff were really polite and helpful and the room was cleaned daily, the whole place is spotless. We will definitely return to the Ashburn when we return to London in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We were in Room 301 (a king room) and it was very nice with a view out to Cromwell Road. It was very clean, the bathroom was modern and everything - including the air conditioner (it was warm when we were there and we used it!) worked. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We had the continental breakfast several mornings and found it to be a good buy at £9.50 with an extensive selection of breakfast items. We did not have the more expensive full English breakfast. Great location very near the V&A and Natural History museums as well as the Gloucester Road tube station. Bar was not operating while we stayed there.

The Ashburn is in a great location (Kensington/Chelsea area of London) and very close to a tube station. The hotel is older and shows some wear and tear but decorated very nicely and, most importantly, was clean. The staff was helpful. Unfortunately, the small bar in the lobby was not open.

If you’re visiting London the Ashburn is a great hotel. Rooms are clean, comfy, air conditioned and the staff are sooooo friendly. We arrived prior to check-in time expecting to just be able to store our luggage. We received a friendly greeting and because our rooms were ready, we were allowed fully check-in. The staff willingly shared info about local restaurants etc. anytime we asked to include calling for a table reservation on our behalf. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. I will definitely stay here again when I’m in London.

My wife and I stayed here for a 6 day London visit. We were very pleased, especially with the friendly staff who were always willing to answer questions and provide advice. Although it is outside of the major tourist attractions, a bus stop and a subway station are nearby, so we had quick access to those places we wanted to visit.

We stayed for one night between Christmas and new year. It’s in a great location, literally a 5 minute from Gloucester Road tube station. Whilst it is near a busy main road, we didn’t hear any noise at night probably due to the glazed windows. Our room was spacious with everything you need including toiletries/tea & coffee etc. There is no breakfast currently nor bar due to covid but this isn’t a problem as there are tons of cafes, bars etc nearby. Our only criticisms would be that the bathroom looked a bit tired and the room was very warm.

We enjoyed our stay here , the room was nice although no housekeeping, so it doesn’t get cleaned each day . We did know this before we booked and the staff were really pleasant and helpful . Also no breakfast service which we were aware of - but we were given a list of restaurants and pubs near by . There are plenty of places to get breakfast and the hotel is close to Waitrose to pick up snacks etc . Great location for the underground - a stones throw from Gloucester Rd tube . Easy to explore the area on foot too - we walked to Kensington Palace , and the Royal Albert Hall - nice area to walk around and explore . Lots of places to eat . Do try Da Marios the Italian nearby it’s really good !
