    Great Hotel with superb service!
Avoid the overpriced chain hotels and experience good old fashioned customer service in this delightful hotel in Kensington. We chose a standard room, as we were not due to spend a huge amount of time in the hotel, other than sleeping. The room was a good size & beautifully decorated and also had a super comfy bed. There were lots of extras you wouldn't expect, such as a relaxing sleep spray, bath robes, complementary bottled water and a good selection of hot drinks in the room (they actually had peppermint tea!). We were welcomed like old friends and every single member of staff was exceptional. Breakfast was good & plentiful, with a cooked option if needed. The nearest tube is Gloucester Road, which is about a 2 minute walk away. The hotel is also comfortable walking distance from Harrods, The Natural History Museum & the Royal Albert Hall. My husband had ordered a bottle of champagne as it was my birthday, this was perfectly chilled on our arrival. Cannot fault this place.

We consider that it is our mission to make our guests feel welcomed and I am happy that we accomplished that across all the aspects of your stay. I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you again very soon. When you would like to do so, please contact me directly as it will be my pleasure to oversee the arrangements of your next reservation. Lovely hotel, located well, with staff who go above and beyond for their customers
My wife and I stayed here in September and we were pleased with its presentation, the hotel and the room was immaculate. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and went above and beyond when we reported an issue with our air con which was leaking onto our clothing. Clothing was dry cleaned, air con fixed immediately and we were given complimentary wine for our trouble. The staff were all excellent, especially the man who I think owns / manages it (I forget his name). The room had a very comfortable bed and had all you need for a short stay. The hotel is located 5 mins walk away from Gloucester Road underground station and has a bus stop right outside it. The Natural History museum is not too far away either. The only thing I was slightly disappointed at was the lack of bar or kitchen being open when we were there, however, the aforementioned kind man at reception apologised about that and gave us a list and a map of places nearby to eat, things to do, and what to see. Overall, a lovely stay in a nice hotel with staff who know what excellent customer service is. We would stay here again. Thank you Ashburn Hotel!

    Great little hotel
We had no troubles with this great little hotel. A close walk to Gloucester Road station that made it easy to get between the hotel and the city. Breakfast consisted of cereal, cold meats, cheese, fruit, yoghurt, coffee, tea, juice and bread. Everything at breakfast was of a nice quality. The rooms are a reasonable size and we found it to be very quiet. They even upgraded our room on arrival. I would recommend this place to others coming to London who are looking for a nice hotel experience with affordable prices.
Dear Alex N, Thank you for your wonderful review. It is great to hear you enjoyed all the benefits of our superb location and the complimentary continental breakfast. I am glad the service team looked after during your stay. It is always a pleasure knowing that our guests are satisfied with our services. We all look forward to greeting you with a warm welcome soon. Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with on your next reservation at the Ashburn Hotel. Warm regards, Vitor Medeiros General Manager manager@ashburn-hotel.co.uk

I have stayed there many times over the last 13 years. It is certainly not what it once was. At 10pm I had to request cleaning products so I could clean the bath before I used it. The next day the products were removed but the dirty cleaning cloth was left on the floor for our entire 5 day stay. Also bathroom sink was dirty. Staff were pleasant but not very engaging. Extremely overpriced for what we had - you can do better in London. Unfortunately will not be staying there again.

Just spent 2 nights in this delightful hotel, whilst attending concert in Hyde Park. Great location, walking distance to most places and tube station on doorstep. Staff here are amazing, greater reception and breakfast staff. Arrived early but room ready so allowed to check in early. Very spacious room, super comfy beds, really quiet which I was surprised at, as our room was ground floor street level, but we were totally undisturbed. Adequate continental breakfast, with hot cooked available at a very reasonable price if that is your preference. Loved our stay here and would definitely return.

We really were very happy with this hotel. It was clean and nicely furnished and made us feel relaxed and at home. Spacious room too! It is wonderfully located just a few blocks from the V&S and the Natural History Museum. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a quiet relaxing hotel. Rooms are small but have everything you need. Located 3 minutes from the metro station. There's also a supermarket. There are many pubs/restaurants nearby. The staff is good. We arrived at night, but we were met and accepted.

We usually search for hotels near Gloucester Road tube station. It has three good lines: Central, District and Piccadilly lines. This time it was the Ashburn Hotel a couple of hundred meters away from the station. Ashburn is a classic English hotel, both in terms of interior design and furnishings. The rooms are reasonably spacious, as is the bathroom. Nice staff and, as I said, close to the metro station. In terms of price, it is also well placed compared to other hotels in the vicinity. We were also in London later in December and then chose to stay at Ashburn again.

Good base, close to Gloucester Road tube, on the Cronwell Road which gave me excellent access to the places I wanted to visit. The hotel was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The room was a good size and had everything I needed; tea and a comfortable bed after a long day. I was amazed how well I slept next to a busy road. Supplies are a short walk away in Waitrose and Sainsbury’s as was pointed out.

This hotel suited our needs as my husband has limited walking. A lift was on hand and we were given to room requested. Above all, all staff were helpful and courteous. Yes it has no frills but our ‘super’ room was more than adequate. Breakfast was simple but sufficient with a fry if wanted. Highly recommend as good value, with courtesy as well. Car parking not easy but we found overnight at Parkbee Saba under Kensington Town Hall, a municipal facility that was well organised.

We despaired of London hotel prices and found that we couldn't afford to stay at hotels we had frequented in pre-covid times. Then we found the Ashburn. Larger than expected room (for London), Clean and comfortable and very warm - in fact we had to turn the heating off - in January! We didn't partake of their continental breakfast but had a cooked breakfast at local eateries. We will definitely return.

Never stayed here before, but this hotel just enveloped me with charm and magnificence. The lady at the reception was simply brilliant. She also spoke Italian :) to my joy. If anyone needs, Tube station Gloucester Road is a minute walk and Waitrose (expensive) is just across the street. There is also Sainsbury's (cheaper) nearby.
