We arrived at the Ashburn on a Thursday morning after an eight hour trans-Atlantic flight and a forty minute ride from Heathrow. We waited only about a half hour for our room to be available after I asked the receptionist if we could check in early. She was observant and understanding of my wife's requirement to catch some needed sleep... More

Hotel is just a short walk from Gloucester Road Tube Station. Nicely decorated hotel. The rooms are quite spacious especially for this area, comfortable beds, free wifi & nice complimentary touches. Morning paper left outside room door each morning. Continental breakfast is included with good selection. Cooked breakfast choices are also available at very resonable prices. Staff are very polite... More

We stayed here for one night. Having booked two Queen sized bedrooms through Agoda we were quite surprised how tiny our room turned out to be. There wasn't even space for a bedside table on both sides; and the bed was 7" narrower than the other one in our friends room. You need to experiment to get the shower turned... More

I stayed here for 4 nights, (Nov 3 - Nov 6) the hotel was very clean, the staff very friendly! The hotel is closed to the Gloucester Road metro station (which is also a stop for the double decker tour bus), the breakfast was good! I would stay here again!

We stayed here for five nights in October. I was so pleased with everything from the moment I stepped in till we left. A beautiful room, small gifts every day, nice breakfast with good service in the breakfast room, a nice bar (that we unfortunately spent too little time in since we had other evening plans). I really liked the... More

I have stayed there over the weekend during my business trip to London in April 2016. The hotel itself is nice, but nothing has really impressed me. The breakfast was very poor, I expected broader selection of food. I was disappointed eggs dishes were for extra fee :/ The room was also average, furniture looked kind of old. Anyway, it's... More

By chance booked this hotel at short notice, close to Gloucester Road Tube Station, rooms nice, staff friendly and helpful, continental breakfast included. Would recommend this hotel for business and leisure. Great little bar, even had an offer of a pizza and 2 beers for £12.99

Stayed at the Ashburn 5 nights. The location is absolutely perfect--- Two blocks to the Gloucester tube station (a huge asset) to get around London, great local restaurants on Gloucester Rd both North and South, a great grocery market to pick up snacks and beverages as well as Hyde Park and Kensington Palace. The staff and reception were friendly and... More

What an amazing little hotel! My husband and I went to Europe for our honeymoon and London was by far the best part of the trip. The Ashburn Hotel was a major contribution to this trip. Very close to transit (5 minute walk to nearest underground) and far enough away from busy intersections. Adorable rooms, beautiful furniture, en suite bathroom.... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
