We loved our stay here, the staff were very friendly and helpful upon check in. We stayed in the Victoria suite and it was more than we were expecting, and having balcony doors to open was a nice touch. We had breakfast the following morning, it was very reasonably priced, and the food quality and selection was very good, with typical options such as pastries, cereals, yoghurts and cooked options including fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes etc. Again the staff at breakfast were all very friendly and couldn't of been more helpful.

We stayed 2 nights in 2 x doubles and a further night in a twin. The double rooms were on the top floor and were very small. We had been booked in by a third party for our first 2 nights, so didn’t complain, but I would recommend booking a slightly more expensive rate to get a better room on floors 1,2,3 or 4. However there is a lift and we had everything we needed. The rooms had interconnecting doors so we were able to open them up and give us the feel of more space. Our 3rd night was in a twin on the 2nd floor and was lovely. It had a large bay window and plenty of room for suitcases and general baggage. Beds were comfortable and the en suite had a walk-in shower with a large ‘rainforest’ shower head. There was plenty of hot water. The hotel was quiet at night and the road outside not too busy. The staff at reception were delightful and very helpful. Our room for the 3rd night was available for check-in as we left the previous room at 10.30am. This made life so much easier. Thank you. Breakfast was nice with plenty of variety and the option of cappuccinos, lattes etc. We particularly liked the Checkmate bar and restaurant. Staff were great and had a good sense of humour. The food was good. The whole place had a smart, relaxed feel, and there’s live music (great vocalist) every Thursday evening. We will definitely stay here again.

2nd visit to the Park decided to treat ourselves and upgrade to Heritage Room, so disappointed looked like the room was in the middle of being redecorated filler all over walls pictures not put on wall correctly in fact the standard room we had last year was better. Did complain to reception who said they would move us the following morning but no apologie, moved next day to Chelsea Junior Suite which was lovely. Breakfast was very nice and the breakfast room was spotless and waiting staff although very young were so pleasant and helpful. Will use this hotel again hopefully not room 118.
