The location is good, just around the corner from the Earl's Court Underground station. We were in room 42 in the basement so our room was very quiet but EXTREMELY hot. There is no air conditioning and leaving the window open on a very rainy October evening was not an option. In the morning the entire housekeeping staff gathered outside...

First the positive: great location for Earls Court , clean and fairly spacious ,lovely period features. Now the negative : Avoid at all costs any room near the front entrance , we were in room 67 and had the worst nights sleep ever, the noise made by inconsiderate guests using the stupidly positioned smoking area right outside our window was horrendous...

I stayed in the hotel Fri-Mon, early Oct. Booked via internet, a month in advance. The room was quite spacious for a single room, quiet, with a cable TV, free WiFi and a lot of mirrors (which I very appriciate). The only thing missing was a fridge. The stuff was polite, plesant and helpful. The location was great, 3mins from...

OK so the decor is a bit dated and rooms a bit small but aside from that, this place was great. Very handily located near Earls Court tube station. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was clean and comfortable and very quiet at night. Breakfasts were great.

This is a hotel that has not been modernised for some time and is in many ways typical of the old London 3* scene - lots of weird twist, turns and staircases to get to your room along narrow corridors included. The rooms are a little bit dingy, the quality of bed linens, etc mediocre and everything just feels a...

Booked this hotel on the internet without seeing any review. About 5 mins walk from Earls Court Tube station, I found this hotel to be very very good. The room was clean and tidy, not overly large but adequate for me and my wife. The pleasant thing was it was quiet throughout the night, breakfast is continental, but that comes...

We booked the hotel for one night via BW, room only. I found the staff that we encountered very helpful, professional, and friendly. We arrived early with the intention of dropping off our bags, but were told that our room was ready and we had been upgraded to a larger sized one. We were pleasantly surprised by that; though later...

Good value for money (got a good deal on the price), well located close to Earls Court Tube Station and good local pubs. I was in a single room which was quite small but perfectly adequate for a base during business trip. Good breakfast, comfortable bed - all I needed!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
