We have been to the Egerton House several times over the years and always look forward to our stay. The staff are always helpful and want to ensure you have a wonderful break. The rooms are cosy and have all you need for a hassle free break. The bar has a lovely atmosphere and is a must for cocktails. Great location for Knightsbridge and surrounding attractions.

Enjoyed a relaxing few days at this lovely hotel. Stayed with our daughter and large dog and staff were so accommodating and truly dog friendly. Suite was spacious and received a upgrade on arrival so our daughter had her own adjoining room. First class service, a real oasis in a busy part of London; will definitely return.

Response from Michelle Devlin, General Manager at The Egerton House Hotel

Dear Sc0tthayes, We are so happy that we were able to offer you a lovely family weekend away and that you were able to bring along your beautiful doggy along on this occasion. The Egerton House Hotel is truly a pet friendly hotel and it is very important for us that our guests can enjoy a break away from home and be able to bring along their four-legged loved ones as well. As soon as you have a future date in mind for a return visit to our hotel, please do let us know and we book you in and assist with any arrangements whether a restaurant booking, theatre or offering a dog-sitting and walking service again. In the meantime, have a lovely remainder of your week and a relaxing weekend. Keep well and until next time. Michelle Devlin General Manager

The Egerton House is an intimate hotel carved out of two townhouses on a residential terrace in Knightsbridge. It is managed by the Red Carnation group, which by-and-large does a fantastic job with its boutique properties. Suffice it to say that the many reviews below this one are accurate. You won't go wrong here (unless you really can't be near the occasional canine and/or needs lots of space). But, why specifically choose this place over so many other wonderful hotels throughout London? For me, the Egerton is reasonably priced for the high level of comfort and service it provides (by London standards), and it also feels as though one is staying in a very nice houser club, versus a hotel. It feels easy and personable. Nicely decorated, yet very usable. You get to know the staff quickly. Coming-and-going couldn't be easier. A very relaxing and smart little place without a hint of pretension.

Stop reading and BOOK THIS HOTEL RIGHT NOW! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Egerton House. We were impressed by all aspects of our stay - the location was great (reasonable walk to South Kensington station), plenty of restaurant options close by, the food was outstanding, the room was very comfortable and the team went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were well cared for. We booked a queen room, which felt a bit small at first, but we quickly adjusted. If room size is important to you, I'd suggest a king size room - I believe they are slightly larger.

A perfect stay at this warm and welcoming property. A great location and the friendliest staff imaginable. We ended up hanging out in the lobby chatting with the front desk team because they were so nice and helpful. Special kudos to Ben and Mustafa for their help and hospitality throughout our trip. We took advantage of the amenities including the very nice breakfast, the V&A Museum tickets and the extremely gracious afternoon tea. The servers in the bar and breakfast room were super professional and friendly. Our room was a little small, but we have been told that in advance. The bathroom was wonderful, extremely well appointed and the water pressure in the shower was awesome! Our stay here was a highlight of the trip.

This is a lovely, small hotel-it may be too small for some! We chose it because of the location as we were going to the Royal Albert Hall and the V&A which are both just a few minutes walk away and because we have stayed at other Red Carnation hotels and knew it would be quality. Our car was valet-parked for us and we were taken to a lovely first floor room. The room had in-room controlled air con which we were able to adjust to keep the temperature as we liked. The room was quiet as it over-looked a mews. There is full turndown service with bottled water and a newspaper provided. Breakfast was very good, served as it was in a small room with dishes cooked to order. The orange juice was delicious and there is a good selection of breakfasts-it was great to see that the delicious and well-cooked Full English included black pudding....a favourite of mine! I also enjoyed Eggs Benedict on the second morning. We enjoyed a coffee in the bar during the day-though couldn't understand why there were 'reserved' signs on some tables when no-one arrived wile we ere there! On checkout, we were taken in a taxi( which the hotel paid for) to fetch our car and a delightful member of hotel staff accompanied us. We would stay here again if we needed to be in this neighbourhood. It s well located for walking to the museums, Harrods, The Kings Road, etc. and there are many restaurants within walking distance.

Our recent stay at the Egerton House Hotel in Knightsbridge was a real treat. When people say “small and intimate” this is what they mean. It is small and it is very intimate, but what sets it apart is the wonderful staff throughout the hotel who make you really feel as if you are in your own private home in the heart of London. That is a common theme we have found at all the Red Carnation hotels we have been lucky enough to stay at. Staff really look out for and after you. Nothing is a problem - rail strike - no problem, we will sort out a private taxi for you - with a charming and pleasant driver. Need an extra day - no problem, we will sort it out for you. It really does feel like a home from home, especially when you finish the day in the tiny but very charming bar, with everything being looked after just as you would want it. Home from home - thankfully, you do not have to do the dishes, but to stay here again, I think I just might!
