Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.

Dear Harry H, I am thrilled to be reading through such a wonderful review, we are so very pleased that your entire experience was phenomenal, we really do appreciate the time that you have taken to write about us. Your kind words describe our reception and bar areas beautifully and we are so glad that you adored our Christmas decorations. We are very fortunate to be in a central location, with such charming, natural surroundings and are happy that you enjoyed your garden view. I am pleased to hear how much you enjoyed the afternoon tea and of course the Egerton Martini, which I must say is an experience in itself, what an amazing 30th birthday treat for your fiancé. It is with great pleasure to read about how welcoming our staff were, we really do have such a fantastic team of people here at the Egerton. We look forward to making another memorable stay for you in the near future. Wishing you and your fiancé all the best for the New Year, Kindest Regards, Michelle Devlin, General Manager

Absolutely pure comfort and quiet indulgence in a time capsule hotel. Friendly staff, lovely coctails, beautiful breakfast and a room fit for a manor. Champagne and rosepetals scattered over the room when we arrived at night.
