Ended trip in England by staying one night at the Radisson BLU Edwardian Vanderbilt. Wished I had planned on staying here for a longer time. Hotel was stylish and clean and located in a great neighborhood near a tube stop. Room was spacious and hotel offered a wonderful buffet breakfast. Check in was fast and efficient and staff was very... More

The room was styled comfortably with soft, ample bed dressing and pillows. The thermostat would not regulate the temperature enough for us to get completely cozy, however. We were located right across from Piccadilly Station which was convenient enough to hop "the tube" and get around to wherever we liked.

Location being wverything this hotel certainly had it. We took the tube from Terminal 5 at Heathrow straight into Gloucester Road Station and walked around the corner to this boutique hotel. Reception is no fuss, no big desks or bells or crowds just a small area well furnishes and with extremely welcoming staff. Low key and very understated armosphere. Our... More

I stayed here for 1 night on a business trip. The room was quite small, had 2 worn single beds pushed together, there was no lamp so I either had to have the 8 spotlights on full or nothing at all (I found some switches behind the pillows during the night which would have just put a few of the... This is an ideal location for the Albert Hall and some of the museums on Cromwell Road. Ideal also for Kensington gardens. Lovely walks you can get to the Mall and to Trafalgar Square in about 30 to 40 minutes. The hotel is comfortable and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are of a fairly good size(we stayed in... More

Two night stay in Radisson Vanderbilt was good. First time I stayed in Kensighton area, but I liked it. Good location nearby Royal Albert Hall and museums. Easy to get Kensington Park in morning running. Check-in was one of the best service ever, Julia was awesome (unless we didn't get room couple of hours earlier)! Room was ok, but the... More

I came from gatwick airport to London Victoria by gatwick express ( 9:30 pm), then took underground line (DC line, West) and reached Glouster road station in about 8 mts or so, came out of the station searching of the hotel as I knew from map that this hotel was near. Once I came out of the station, I took... More

My mom and I spent a couple days in London and this hotel was booked by our travel agent. I think it was on the expensive side but London is expensive so it’s hard to complain. This hotel was nice inside and quite quaint. The front desk staff was GREAT. Very welcoming and helpful with all our needs. Got us... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
