We stayed in room 318 - set up as two single beds. Great light, plenty of space for storing things. Typical room for London - comfortable but not one to sit in for a period of time. Staff, service - everything was just perfect. The Drawing Room is a great place to sit and catch your breathe. Location is fantastic....

Lovey hotel, helpful staff and very well situated, near to shops and the Underground. It was within walking distance to Green Park as well as the guided coach tours of the city of London. Breakfast was not included in my package, but theit menu had a great selection to choose from.

Sadly, it doesn't matter how wonderful a room is, or how professional and charming the staff are, if you don't get a good night's sleep... We were disappointed to find our room overlooking the light well at the back of the hotel, but thought it would at least have the advantage of quietness. How wrong we were. There is obviously...

The bar's the thing. We've been going for the Martinis for years; best in town. Finally spent the night. Ordinary double room. Fine. Nothing more. Beautiful hotel. Well-placed for mooching: Green Park, Shepherds Market.

Lovely hotel with perfect location. Close to almost everything. Helpful and friendly staff. And a very cozy bar with fantastic cocktails. The superior room was very nice and the bathroom had everything you could want.

We came to London on our Honeymoon and chose to stay at Duke's Hotel, after a lot of research. We were not disappointed! It was a beautiful, historic building, just what we wanted! The staff was incredibly helpful and kind. It was equally luxurious and comfortable. It was in a perfect location, convenient to everything we wanted to see. We...

We enyoyed the excellent location which is just in the center of London but at the same time in a quite place and the polite hotel staff! So historic hotel! We booked a small room which didn't like because of the view but the manager helped to find the better room!

Lovely hotel, tucked away. Very quiet hotel and location. Staff all very friendly and helpful - we were updated to superior room no 416. Pleased to see that it was equipped with a much needed bath, after walking around the city. Lashings of hot water and a good shower. Fluffy white towels and toiletries. Bed was extremely comfortable and extra...

Small boutique hotel with a (popular) cozy cocktail lounge, located on a quiet little side street, close to Green Park, Piccadilly Circus, and Buckingham Palace. One great little bonus: the smart phone in our room that we could take with us each day so we had internet and local calling available any time. Helpful staff and evening turn-down service were...

Two nights; booked a Jr. Suite with "Champagne Welcome" and two "Spa treatment" add-ons. Upgraded to a Deluxe Suite (the door said "The Duke of Portland Suite") which was amazing. King bed, anteroom, full living room with two sofas, table, two chairs. The room was among the best I've stayed in. Numerous electrical outlets, well-lit, working climate control. (NOTE on...

Staying in St. James's

Neighborhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
