This is a nice 4 star hotel on Piccadilly so very central. We had a room on the 15th floor which you had to take stairs as the elevator only goes to the 14th... Our room was small and very badly laid out as there was nowhere convenient to put the luggage rack and the closet doors restricted entry... The worst of the room however was that the A/C didn’t work and it was 80+F in London that week...

...However, when we returned later that evening and were allocated our room we found it had only a double bed but we had booked in 3 adults... When a hotel is expecting 3 guests I don’t expect to have to make the additional bed up ourselves... I don’t expect to have to move furniture when I check into a room at 10pm at night...

...For various reasons (thanks RMT), had to rebook at short notice for date only a couple of weeks in advance, and had to accept a lesser room, without breakfast at a higher rate. I think there was something on in London as most other hotels also had higher prices... Kept my eye on the prices, and sure enough was able to secure a better rate, albeit the same room type... So my advice to any travellers is to keep an eye on the rates, as they do move... Also, the booking system didn't seem to like rebooking the same room for the same date, as on departure we were charged the original rate - but this was quickly and efficiently rectified by the friendly front of desk... The lesser room, was a classic room, and whilst clean, it was quite a bit smaller than expected... However, would certainly stay at the Cavendish again, but give a better grade room the chance...

We stayed at the Cavendish celebrating our daughters 40th birthday ... The only downside of the hotel was our room, this was located near a club, as it was a Saturday night it was noisy and busy and lots of cars driving around very fast and honking horns , so not much sleep from 2am onwards !... So if booking a room ,don't ask for room 508 or on that side of the hotel ... Our daughter was in Room 403, on the other side of the hotel and that was a bigger twin room away from the noise of the clubs...

The Cavendish is a 'good' hotel in a great location in central London, close to most sights and excellent shopping. If I could give a 3.5 'good' rating on TA then I would as I think that is a fair rating, bearing in mind the £600 per room, per night charge... We stayed at the Cavendish for one week... We arrived around 12:30 PM and the rooms were not ready, but we stored our bags and went for tea!... Rooms were clean, we booked two standard rooms for our stay... The rooms were VERY small, which was fine for me because I was alone, but my couple friends were stuck with a full bed (not a queen) and very little room... The reason it isn't a five star is the size of the room and the small beds... I would upgrade to a larger room next time, but would definitely stay here again...

...Having said that, the Cavendish is in a quieter (more peaceful) and probably more upmarket area. Jermyn street is quiet at night and the hotel has easy access to everything around it (Mayfair, Hyde Park Knightsbridge, the Palace, Kings Road area, Covent Garden etc) London is so expensive for hotels in my opinion... you will definitely pay £1000 for 3 nights in a 4 star in a good area like this... So if that sounds pricey to you, make sure you shop around... I always do... this is about as reasonable as it gets for this standard of hotel in this area...

Our stay with this hotel made our trip to London really enjoyable and memorable... We came to find biscuits provided in the room are very tasty so that we asked a concierge named Ahmed to replenish them... He kindly brought us pack of our favorite biscuits very soon... Other concierge helped us to check the weight of our parcel box that was supposed to send to Japan at a nearby post office...

We booked the penthouse suite to celebrate my friends birthday. I called reception to ask if we could have a small birthday cake in the room, and Adriana and Mar assured me we would get the VIP treatment... This certainly happened from the moment we arrived, the staff took our luggage up to the penthouse, you have an extra flight of stairs as lift only goes up to 14th floor and the penthouse is on the 15th... The gentleman then opened the door and showed us around the suite... There was a complimentary fruit bowl, a very nice bottle of champagne chilling in an ice bucket and a small cake, also which was really thoughtful a hand written Birthday card with a personal message from all the staff at the hotel, these extra touches made a difference...

...My first trip was not so good, the hotel had issues in the restaurant with the breakfast on my first visit so I wrote to them and they invited us back to try again and were very opologetic... This time, however we upgraded to a bigger room, a junior suite, it was worth every penny, it's the nicest biggest room I have stayed in besides in Dubai... The hotel at this visit could not have been more attentive, and Breakfast was much better than our previous experience... My only suggestion to the restaurant is that they refill the buffet before it runs out and buy another toaster to avoid the queues... Saying all of that, we had a great weekend and really enjoyed the hotel, thank you...

...The final straw was the painfully long wait times for breakfast - I waited one hour with regular enquiries as to where my food was. The restaurant was less than 10% occupied so I’m not sure why the service was so bad... The views, especially from a high floor are pretty awesome... It is directly across the street from Fortnum & Mason... The head baggage porter Ahmed was so very helpful with our elderly parents who were there for their 50th anniversary... He assisted with all our transportation in a professional, seamless, and friendly manner... We were welcomed back to the hotel by a lovely woman at check in... Definitely a nice enough hotel... This is a nice part of London, but without a bit of a walk, almost all of the nearby restaurants are "$$$$"... There is a Tesco Express not too far away and a few Pret a Mangers... ...We stayed at the Cavendish for one week. The location is fabulous, on a quiet street right behind Fortnum and Mason... The staff was very good, eager to please and helpful... We arrived around 12:30 PM and the rooms were not ready, but we stored our bags and went for tea!... Rooms were clean, we booked two standard rooms for our stay... I did go online and sign up for their program which gave me 10% off and great rates when you prepaid... I realize you are hardly there, but the bed does need to be larger!... There was a desk, chair, a wardrobe, a small mini fridge, a safe, etc... Bathrooms were small but spotless and the amenities were there too, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion, vanity kit, etc... We didn't eat there at all, but did have coffee and drinks which were excellent... I would upgrade to a larger room next time, but would definitely stay here again...

Fabulous first impression from the moment you pull up to the front. I didn't get his name but the member of the concierge team who greeted my cab, took my luggage etc was incredibly professional and warm throughout my entire stay... I was very early for check in and wanted to leave my case but Anastasia on reception was fantastic and said not only was my room available but she had also upgraded me which was a lovely surprise... My room was very nice with a great bathroom... The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, 5 minutes to Regent Street and about a 7 minute walk to Buckingham palace and the gorgeous park beside it... ...Having said that, the Cavendish is in a quieter (more peaceful) and probably more upmarket area.

Not a luxury hotel. Poor service, very slow from check in to bar service. Rooms use recycled dirty water bottles, minimal toiletries in the room. Rooms set at 30°! It’s a loud hotel with doors banging all night. Stay at the Stafford for true luxury. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and I wouldn’t return.

Nice hotel but overpriced, however this is understandable considering its excellent location. The biggest let down is the bar - my mum and I tried to get a drink there both nights of our stay and were told to wait at our table to be served both times. Both times we were forgotten about after 20 minutes+ of waiting, so ended up getting a drink elsewhere. For this reason, to prospective guests I would say - don’t bother with the bar!

Decided a night stay in London to capture the Christmas lights, and having stayed before we did not hesitate in booking a room at The Cavendish. It enjoys a great location, being centrally placed, and many attractions are in easy walking distance. We definitely made the right choice, and were really pleased with the Executive room we adopted for this time. The room was of a decent size, and had great views across to the Shard / London Eye / BT Tower / Big Ben. The reception and porter staff were extremely helpful and friendly and a credit to the hotel. This time we took breakfast at the hotel, and whilst a self-service buffet breakfast is convenient for say a business trip, we found it under underwhelming, especially at £25/head, and would have much preferred a waited service. Again, we would not hesitate staying again at the Cavendish but would look at dining options outside of the hotel.

Found this hotel a bit of a let down and overpriced I know hotels are expensive in London and I have no issues with this but I felt this was over priced . I expected more. Don’t get me wrong it’s in a great location and very close to the Picadilly theatre, but the room was tiny and very dated there was nothing in the fridge to drink or any snacks, it cost me £47 for a club sandwich, chips and a beer , I went to the bar to get this and there was one man working the bar glasses everywhere rushed off his feet which on a Saturday night is not what I would expect. whilst I appreciate London is expensive this it’s just ridiculous!! All in all I’ve stayed in better Premier Inns …. Would I stay here again ? No

We booked a lot of rooms for an event in London, having also used this hotel previous times. Firstly, the positives are its prime location on Jermyn Street with most of Central London within a 15-20 minute walk. Also find concierge good. However some of the basics of this hotel are now lacking. Always realise that London hotel rooms can be small but ours was not comfortable for 2 people to share. And the decor and general finish is tired and dated. The shower was good and powerful and the toiletries were White Company (disposable) but the bathroom tiny and the tap leaking throughout. One day we had enough towels for the 2 of us and another enough for 1. Bar service was a joke. Either no experience or no interest (or both) but basically slow service probably reduced our drinks spend by half. First time I’ve been served a pint of Moretti where half of it was froth! Finally, breakfast was below average with serving utensils not replaced and therefore caked in food and the basics not replenished anywhere near quickly enough. It’s not cheap (and I know London isn’t anyway) but a Premier Inn seems a better option!

Best location, Nice rooms, very kind staff -concierge Ahmed was very helpfull. Only small thing - reception area is not very charming - somewhat cold and uninspiring area. Jermin street is the top location in London such a cozy street. Breakfast upposite the hotel at Fortnum and Mason is great.

Just back home from a fantastic Sunday lunch with bottomless Prosecco at the Mayfair Lounge and Grill @ The Cavendish Hotel. Lovely hot meal and free flowing Prosecco - amazing! Our waitress (who was from Lithuania, but I've forgotten her name - apologies) was very attentive indeed, and kept us nicely topped up - we'll definitely be back.

Location fantastic very close to Green Park, May fair and Piccadilly. Staff at the reception very kind and efficient. The new front manager very very kind. I’m a loyal client and when possible they up grade the room. Also at the conciarge a very good service. Very open to help you any time. Just a thing to be improved is the breakfast. Staff kind but very often they go out of stock of fruits or other and the manager there are not so reactive.
