My husband and I stayed for a long weekend. After reading some of the reviews I was a little apprehensive. I shouldn’t have been. I can’t fault any part of our stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was lovely. Our room was fantastic and looking out onto Hyde park. Yes parts of the hotel are ready for a lick of paint but that didn’t affect our stay at all. Great spot for Harrods and the big name shops!
Nice service, the bell desk were probably the best. :) Getting taxis like magicians even if there were really none around. We were never late for our meetings. Breakfast selection could be improved, but overall all the basics were there. Location of course - second to none.
I have a Titanium card from the Marriot group as i have been a customer for ever. Normally we are upgraded or we have some wine in our room or something to show that we have some value for the group. This time we were not upgraded, the receptionist was not helpful or cooperating with us, there was not even a bottle of water in our room. We had to ask twice to get some water. The service during our stay was pitiful and when we left it took for ever to get a porter. Last time we are staying there and of course we will tell our teams to stop going there. Awful
Not quite what I expected from a 'Luxury Collection' Hotel. They do not have a breakfast room, and only serve breakfast in the rooms, so we decided it was not worth the money they were charging and ate outside. There is also no Executive Floor or Lounge. The room was acceptable except that the amenities in the bathroom had very clearly been used before. The body lotion had smudges on the bottle and the shampoo was half empty. We stay in London once or twice a month and usually stay at an other 5star Hotel nearby. We wanted to give the Park Tower a try, but we will be back at our usual Hotel, as the Park Tower is clearly not up to our standards.
The rooms are large with spectacular views, however the hotel is dated and from the smell on the corridors it still has smoking and non smoking floors. The lobby is nice and it has been re-furbished. Room service was prompt Given the fact that it was almost half price compared to other similar properties around , i would stay here again.
A lovely small luxury hotel in the perfect location, I would definitely recommend. It looks nothing from the outside and yes the bedroom decor is a bit dated in colour. Everything was clean. Large bedroom with UK super king size bed that was incredibly comfortable. We had 3 rooms, 5 people and everyone said the same. Lovely to have a large window, view was better on the side that was furthest from the lift. Large bathroom with bath and separate large shower. Face cloths provide which isn’t as common these days. We didn’t eat in the hotel, it’s very overpriced. But so is the area, I paid £2.50 for a 330ml plastic bottle of water from the ice cream van round the corner. I bought a 1ltr glass bottle of water from Planet Organic the next day for £1.30.
I stayed at this property for one night. The staff were the best thing about this property. They were very attentive and helpful. However, that is where it ends. This hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment. The rooms are very very old and smell terribly of smoke and deodorizer to cover up the smell of smoke. There wasn't even a hair dryer. Thankfully my breakfast was included as part of being a Titanium member because I'd have a problem paying £30 for a buffet breakfast with cold eggs. I would recommend staying elsewhere.
One of the worst experience in London after 10 years stay in this hotel. Instead of treating loyal customer differently, the hotel wanted to downgrade my booking due to high demand although higher categories were available. Moreover, they have allocated the worst room with broken sockets and a very bad smell in the bathroom.
Afternoon tea in their lounge, beautiful setting , it kind of went down hill after that , service was diabolical to say the least , our party of 5 was served 2 plates of afternoon tea, then waited forever for the 3 one , this we had to chase them for , best but when we were paying , they only went and served another table , saying that they had been waiting to pay , well the final insult 24% service charge !!!! Highway robbery , a lovely afternoon catching up with friends was spoilt but the terrible service we didn’t have ……
There were 5 of us in our party. We had our drinks order taken and delivered fairly quickly but then had to wait for 30 minutes for food. We got food for 3 of our party and then nothing! We waited a further 15 minutes then we went to find out what had happened. They said sorry and then we had to wait another 20 to 30 minutes for the remaining food. They had delivered our food to another table! We then waited about 10 minutes before they took another drinks order where they forgot our water. When we eventually got the bill the service was automatically included. Also whilst in the middle of taking our payment the waiter the took a payment from another table!! Stating that they had been waiting a while!!! Good food but abysmal service!! Would not go there again.
