For a 3 star hotel, the place is amazing and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Plus, the hotel is close to Oxford street, Hyde park and many other attractions(probably about a five minute walk to Oxford street and Hyde park) . The room is small but it is kind of cute and cosy.

So many cons to this hotel--No air conditioning, the room was dirty, the carpet made my feet dirty, had a day with no hot water, the bathroom was tiny, phone did not work, internet was weak and intermittent, the breakfast is some cereal or croissants with jam or butter, or you can ask for scrambled eggs--if you are late don't... Very, very good the place in London. My family was very well accommodated. We were in a location that interested us very near to Oxford Street where we wanted to shop and technological goods store, electronics and appliances Arcos. Part of the staff speaks Portuguese.

If you hate cleanliness, touchable surfaces around the bathroom and the room, if you're not that much into warm water, or decent sized rooms, book now! Perfect for people who love sticky feel on their fingertips and appreciate a good ol' moldy bathtub! Absolutely superb city views available through torn, dusty, and, once upon a time white, curtains! Your foot... More

I had two nights here in August 2016. A couple of positives: very well located. Easy to find off the tube if you're new in London. Basic but comfortable. The staff are friendly and the single bed was comfy. The negatives : continental breakfast is ok if you show up first on a quiet morning. It consists of croissants and... More

While the deco may be dated in the hotel, the rooms were super clean and the beds were comfortable and fresh clean towels provided each day. The staff at the reception both morning (lady) and night (man) were extremely lovely to us and couldn't have been more helpful with directions and everything else! The hotel is so central to Oxford... More

Bedding very clean as were towels. The Hotel however is in serious need of a makeover, very tired! The Staff were friendly but distant. I have given the Hotel 2 stars but only just. If your looking for somewhere to lay your head without the frills this will. I shan't be staying here again

This hotel is all about location, location; just off Oxford St., however it could do with a some tlc! My room needed a lot of attention like a paint job, new carpet, new curtains and a new bathroom! And some of the reception staff need a lesson in people skills, however the breakfast room staff were good. I won't be... More

So I booked this through Expedia secret hotels, and I can see why you wouldn't want to know where you were booking before you booked it! Expedia stretch the area description by saying it includes kings cross / st Pancras - no it's not - it's a good 45 + minutes walk. It's is pretty shabby, stains, scratches, frayed carpets.... More

OK so it's not Gleneages, it's not even the Travelodge by the side of the motorway in Newport, but in terms of somewhere to lay the head for a night it does a job. For someone who has stayed in hostels the world over I've stayed in worse, not much worse, but worse places. My problem being that I've never... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighborhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighborhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
