Great hotel near Paddington station. About a 7/10 minute walk from the station. Reception was spotlessly clean a NN d the welcome we received was professional and warm. Our room (311) although small was perfect for our requirements, it had a hairdryer, TV with free view, coffee and tea, mini fridge and a safe. Plenty of drawers to pack things away, plenty of coat hangers and great bathroom amenities. There are plenty of sockets and the heated bathroom mirror is a great feature. Beds where comfy and we slept well. Room was very clean and housekeeping came daily. Breakfast was nice and fresh however at busy times the staff. Struggled to replenish quick enough. But a great stay and we will return when we next visit London.

Excellent hotel in Paddington. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and never been let down. Mo on front on house is a legend and an outstanding member of staff. Rooms are exceptionally clean and it's only 5minutes from the station.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this was a disappointing one. Building was totally covered in scaffolding, and restaurant out of order. we booked this hotel as most photos of nice plates of food. on arrival they couldn't find our booking, I provided evidence of booking and emailed it to them, they printed and then declined we had a booking and said payment probably failed. Stella then said we would have to pay again and I would have to pay a higher price. I disagreed I should pay more. and she said its not our problem... poor customer service. anyway I called the site I booked with and they confirmed booking was valid payment was taken and hotel should accept me, we done this on loud speaker with hotel reception. They asked for receptionist full name which she was not willing to provide, for what reason I am not sure, they came off phone and had email from this company confirming booking. they said it wasn't good enough as hadn't come through another system and we would have to wait. After 1.5 hours we finally got room key. We were only in London for one night so it was pretty disappointing we lost good portion of time waiting for them to resolve the booking with thier partner booking sites. hotel was otherwise clean and good night sleep. building work started at 9am.

Was very much looking forward to staying in London as it was a surprise trip away for my Birthday. Upon arrival, the immediate look of the Hotel wasn't pleasant. The whole building was covered in scaffolding which, made it look cheap and dismal. Understandably they may be having work done so, a warning via email/phone would have been nice after spending so much money on a "4 STAR" hotel. After being given our room key and entering the bedroom we were surprised at how small the rooms were but, the bed was big which made it bearable. All so we thought..turns out that the queen bed we paid for was actually 2 single beds pushed together. They did not even have a joining bed sheet..it was simply 2 single beds with separate bed sheets placed together to give the illusion of a queen. After this discovery we went to the front desk to raise this concern was told there was nothing the receptionist could do as there was no one else in charge and no more rooms left that night - we were told to head back the next morning to speak to the manager. After speaking to the manager the next morning we were told we could have a choice of 2 other rooms which was great! It got the problem resolved quickly (so we thought) After choosing the room on the ground floor we noticed that we were placed in the room in front of the lift. The only lift on that floor. Each room is fitted with a button system which highlights if you need your room cleaning/ if you are sleeping. So, myself and my guest highlighted that we were sleeping which shows a BRIGHT RED button on both sides of the door> This did not stop the cleaners at 8am chatting, talking & laughing right outside of the door at this time. BEYOND A JOKE. You would think that a 4* hotel would have some form of respect. There was no surprise that on each visit to the front desk, there were at least 2 other guests complaining about their experience. I would avoid - best thing to do when booking is to check every review page.
