4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Recently stayed at this modernized hotel on two occasions. It is clean and well maintained. Rooms can be small as on one occasion two suitcases cold not be opened at the same time. I was somewhat surprised by the absence of a safe in the room. A request for one on our second visit was met. Breakfast was adequate. Two... More

The rooms are nice, the beds are a little small. The location is great, perfect for sightseeing or shopping. The breakfasts are lovely, such a great choice. The staff were helpful. The shower was amazing!

I made an error when booking online for 2 nights. When I arrived a day late, at the end of a long flight from Melbourne I was told I was considered a 'no show' and my booking was cancelled, with no refund. I was left standing in the lobby for a long time, with no communication about how the situation... More

A perfect location for a hotel, the rooms are very spacious and very modern. On the first night our aircon unit was rattling after a bit of fiddling it worked, but we notified reception and it was fixed immediately. The hotel is greatly located near Covent Garden and Oxford street.

Arrived just after 11 at night after long car journey . Mentioned on check in that I needed room service but no menu in room. Told that food had stopped at 11 and the hotel was 'refurbishing ' it's room service menu. Shown a take-away pizza menu and eventually directed to a Tescos for a sandwich. Just not good enough... This hotel is one of the older style with small rooms. The dinner choices in the restaurant were a little limited but, having said that, the hotel was in the process of updating their menu. The staff were extremely helpful and this went a long way to making the four day stay a very pleasant one. The hotel was also... More

The location of this hotel is perfect, a short walk from both Russell Square and Holborn tube stations. The hotel is in need of renovation, it is a tired property that compares poorly to Accor's newer London properties (Novotel London Tower Bridge, Novotel London Blackfriars to name two). The check-in process was okay, the man on the desk was rather... More

My son and I stayed in this hotel recently while on a trip to London. It was a nice place, with very lovely staff. The room wasn't huge but decent size for the two of us. The beds were super comfy and the shower fabulous! It's centrally located to Russell Square and the tube station, which I found to be... More

A 'small double' is indeed small. Staff were friendly but S L O W! Breakfast indifferent - cheap sausage, several items only by order, eg any eggs other than scrambled, decaff. coffee, toast. Even if expecting London, rates, prices not any bargain.

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
