My room smelled awful, someone had been smoking in. There was no desk while that was mentioned in the description. It was horribly cold and noisy. And the price was higher than the neighbouring four star chain hotel. Simply awful experience. Avoid this.

Pros: --------- -Location is good in the heart of London -Calm -Clean, no bad odor -friendly staff -beds comfortable Cons: --------- -I booked twice, a room in the ground floor was too small -Cold. In one of the rooms, the heater was not working and I had to use electric one. In the other, the heater is smaller than required.... More

Which I normally do, but it was full, so ended up here...alas. Claimed a 3pm check-in. Arrived at 3.15pm and despite them booting out guests at 10am, we had to wait until 3.45pm. Not exactly a friendly welcome either. The key was thrown at me when the phone rang. However, I had it in my hand. Next challenge, pick my... More

He also explained that half of the electrics had blown in the hotel and some people had to be sent elsewhere ... we were told our room was ok. Anyway we went out into london came back... More

Arrived around 5pm. We were told that theres been some kind of emergency and weve been given a smaller room. Offered a room in another hotel 25 minutes away if we were not happy. Room was barely big enough for two of us to move. A 3/4 bed instead of a double. The curtain was stapled onto the window so... More

The worst experience in my life, the room was small and dirty the door was broken, very cold. The price is not worth for what you pay, in another city the price would be 30 euro for night not 140 pounds, The receptionist was very rude, said that the check out was at 10am, only this hotel has this timing!... This place is easy to review. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and nothing about the hotel other than the lack of A/C (which isn't a surprise as loads of places in the UK don't have it) really was bad at all. It's close to a tube station, not a far walk from busy SOHO and Coventry Garden, and plenty of... More

Well I wish I could give a first hand review of this hotel but I can’t ~ because 29 minutes before the specified check in time of 3.00pm the Manager called me to say they were overbooked and didn’t actually have a room available. This wasn’t great news because I had deliberately booked this establishment because of its close proximity... More

Stayed here recently when in London to watch football. The room was pretty expensive (but that might just be London prices). The room was quite small but the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was very enjoyable. I had an omlette cooked to order as well as a load of other lovely bits. The woman serving us was lovely - very... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
