To tell the truth, I wasn't expecting much from them and that is because my last trip to London (in a 2* hotel...don't even understand how they got even those stars). So I had my bad experiences but upon arrival it seemed that this time it will be different. The place is not that big, the staff is rather introverted... More

I stayed in for 3 nights this week on a business visit. At the time, some of the floors were being refurbished. After work, I came in for a rest but couldn't as the drills were constantly giving me headaches, instead decided just to wander around the area to clear my thoughts. I occupied the 301a single room, which was... More

Room was small, but clean and tidy. Looking at other reviews I have very low expectations. The hotel looks nice as you walk into reception. The lifts are old and on one occasion had no lights, two other occasions I had to walk down the stairs, not a problem, but he place is a maze with no signs was confusing.... More

Quite possibly the worst ever hotel. I was given a smaller room than I booked with a kettle shoved in the window no cups or drinks to make. Was given a cold disposable cup which was too dangerous to make a hot drink in not given milk but was given a filthy half used jar of coffee with a dirty... More

After reading some reviews I was slightly worried. But upon arrival was giving a key to a newly refurbished room which I cannot fault. A major plus to this hotel other then the price was the location. Perfect for any one wanting to see a show in the west end.

Visited for a business trip after first hotel choices in the area were fully booked. The room I had was small with a single ensuite. Room had no wifi and smelled of damp. Wall paper was coming off the walls. Half the carpet in the main room was wet for some reason. Too tired to question why, not sure if... More

Rude staff intent on belittling and inconveniencing guests, filthy rooms, malfunctioning bathroom, including toilet, complete lack of wifi or internet despite advertisement to the contrary, noisy, and absurdly over-priced, even relative to London. Avoid.

Now I have to start off with a complement. I stay in a lot of hotels particularly in London and comparatively speaking the staff here are very pleasant. Secondly, if you want to be near the East End of Oxford Street and your alternative accommodation is a cardboard box then give this a try. Its neighbours are posh and Paul... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighborhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
