Always love hotels in the Accor group especially the Novotel brand, first time at this hotel but once again another excellent stay with Novotel, excellent service as usual. Checked in and was upgraded to an executive room which was very nice, all to the usual standards, nice to have the Nespresso machine to. Great bathroom, love the rain shower as this is a must in hotels for me. The room was nice and quiet, slept very well and was extremely clean. Will definitely return

Since Covid I have been favouring London hotels with parking - avoid public transport, straight into the hotel lobby, minimising contact. With Just Park service I was able to make sure I had a parking space booked here for the entire weekend. It has only recently reopened, all of the covid restrictions are well thought through - simplified checkin, paperless checkout. A special mention to the replacement of the Novotel buffet with an excellent "take away" option that we all loved, thank you very much for an excellent stay. It was great for our family of older teens as we could use the "50% rate for the 2nd room" option. Extra, extra thanks for contacting us when my wife left her laptop in the room safe. We were contacted the same day and the laptop was couriered to us within a couple of days. Fantastic service.

We chose this place for our week long London stay for the new year. Close proximity to the London Eye New year fireworks celebration was the reason for choosing this place. I was not disappointed as the Lambeth bridge was just a minute walk from the hotel and was a great place to view the new year celebration. The Hop On hop off and the London bus stops were also close by. So sight seeing and local commute was a breeze. The check in and check out process was simple and quick. Express checkout was just a second - to handover the room key. That’s awesome and consistent with rest of Europe and US. The property itself was a simple one. The room was relatively small. Nice comfortable beds good for me, my wife and my 14 year old son. The breakfast spread was typical English spread. A good variety of fresh fruits, yogurt, croissants... Room service could have been better. Room was cleaned well every day. But the in room coffee and tea refills were never done on time and we had to call up housekeeping every day to remind them. We even had to call and ask for the third towel every morning. I wonder why they just were not able to get this right inspite of we staying there for 5 nights.

We stayed one night in order to see "The Upstart Crow" at The Gielgud Theatre in Shaftesbury Avenue. Despite the "London Waterloo" tag, the hotel is actually in Lambeth Road opposite Lambeth Palace, about a mile from Waterloo station. The nearest tube station is Lambeth North, about a 12 minute walk away. Two bus routes pass the door, the 3 (Whitehall - Crystal Palace) and 344 (Clapham Junction - Elephant & Castle). Sadly the 3 has been recently cut back from Oxford Circus to Whitehall, thereby severing the direct link with London's theatreland. However, Westminster Bridge and the Houses of Parliament are about a 12 minute walk away, so the location is good for tourists. We checked in on line which worked well, being met by a very pleasant girl who quickly gave us our room keys. We had been upgraded to an executive room, which was large, clean and well presented. There was plenty of storage and a room safe. The bed was, however, very firm and my wife, who has scoliosis (curvature of the spine) had difficulty in getting comfortable. Overnight it was quiet with little traffic noise. The other problem was the absence of a dressing table - the only work surface where you could sit did not have a mirror above it. There was a good sized bathroom with a two-headed shower attachment, and separate toilet. Wi-fi was available but we did not use it on this occasion. On the afternoon we arrived we had a meal in the bar area (the restaurant being closed) but this was the same menu with quite a good choice. The food was tasty and well presented, and not overpriced. |The following morning we had breakfast in the restaurant. This was totally self service, but with a good choice of hot and cold food. We did feel however that the hot food could have been a bit hotter. Checkout was as efficient as check in, again with a very pleasant member of staff We would recommend this hotel, but feel it would be better described as "London Lambeth" rather than "London Waterloo".

Stayed for 1 night. Hotel immaculate, rooms amazing and friendly helpful staff. Great location for sightseeing. We were attending the Her Majesty’s theatre although we did take a taxi to Covent Garden as it was so cold, but would have been a lovely walk. Will definitely stay again.
