My wife, after a 17 hour working day, went to check in at 11pm last night. Was told that her room was not free because it hadn't been cleaned. She was told she could wait in the bar in case it became ready (with no commitment to doing so). She had to go back on the street and find an alternative. Awful customer service one thing, putting a woman at risk quite another.
Ive been coming to this hotel for Business and more recently with my family and it’s a real pleasure to stay. Always a warm welcome on arrival, the usual delicious warm cookie and some water for the room. The hotel is newly refurbished to a really high standard and they’ve made an effort to give you options of different room types from a Fitness room (yes, your own gym in your bedroom) to a Wellness room (full of various things to help you relax). Ive tried both and they are excellent. My last visit was with the family, connecting rooms if you want them are available. The staff made so much effort to ensure we had a great time and were always on hand to help us with drinks, food and also recommendations for restaurants to visit in the local area. Breakfast buffet is excellent with various continental and hot options available and you can now help yourself! The bar is well stocked and in this weather you can sit at the outside tables and enjoy your drinks… Eva is on hand to make sure your glass is always full. Even with all the restrictions I can’t compliment all the team enough as they try in every way to make your stay perfect. The hotel is close to Angel tube so easily accessible to allow you to get round London as a base and Islington high street has a great vibe going on. Thanks to Peadar, Mikel and all the team, we’ll be back very soon.…
Sad housekeeping of our room wife’s birthday ruined, family deepley dissapointed, trashcans randomed emptied day by day, not enough towels for 3 poeple, had to ask each day for that, I high class hotel, I think not. No compensation/discount what so ever.
FAB-U-LOUS! Professional, warm & friendly staff. Food great. Cleanliness second to none. Huge thank you to all staff, particularly Peadar, Craig, Mikel, Marcos, Mimi, Selva, Robert, Brasinha, Rob W, Ashna, Ewa, Nikhil, Steven, Soraya, Germaine, Beth - the list of staff that I wish to express my gratitude is endless!
Stayed here with a group of 20 friends en route to Paris. From the moment we booked it the correspondence with Peader and Amy was superb. We arrived at the hotel and everything was prepared for us. We had exec rooms which were spotless and really large, and we also had access to the exec lounge. Previous reports implied this was small but considering the size of our group, there was more than enough space. The service in the lounge, including drinks and food was exceptional. It was s 10min. Stroll from St Pancreas and we will definitely be staying here again. A massive thank you to Peader and the team.
Just came Back from 7 nights staying at hotel. Generally: Nice hotel in good location. 5min walk from Angel underground station ( northern Line to Bank And London Bridge). 15min walk to Kings Cross. Also couple of good bus routes such as 30 ( to Marble Arch) and 71 to Oxford Circus) goes in front of hotel. The Room: we had 2 x Queen sized Beds for 2 adults and 2 Kids not situated towards street (quet - no traffic noices) with Access to excecutive lounge. Room was clean and perfect for us with mini refrerigator and A/C . Then The - was that for 4 people there was only 2 shower towels and no Hand towels but this was fixed by duty Manager Roberth. Special thanks to Roberth, we had some troubles with Room but he arranged it very well. Also his customer service attitude was suberb. …
Stayed here for 2 nights on a business event which was also at the hotel. The hotel is very nice, well appointed and easy to get to ( I walked from Euston Station, took me 25 minutes). The lobby is airy and spacious and all the staff I had contact with were polite, friendly and professional. The room was really nice - clean, modern, surprisingly quiet and the bed was very comfortable. All the staff were great, but a special shout outs to Brienna, who was so helpful in assisting me to print some stuff off for my course two mornings on the bounce - despite being at the end of her very long night shifts. It's always the mark of good customer service when I had to ask whether it was the start of a long day for her or the end of a long night ! I'd nver have known. Also Eleuton, who was very friendly, helpful and efficient in his work around the meeting room, replenishing drinks, sorting out some tech, tidying everything up - all with a smile. All in all I enjoyed my stay and will be back there on business next month.…
We had a major problem sorting out our antigen test for our trip on the orient express & asked for help - Nefrin was the front of house supervisor & could not have been more helpful. She took charge of the problem & resolved. We cannot thank her enough for her patience, friendly & calm approach that resolved everything. Fabulous xxx
Check in abysmal even for Hilton Honours member. Restaurant service also very poor. Suggest more training for both reception and restaurant staff. Being a Hilton Honours member should mean something. Let’s hope my next Hilton stay in London is better.
The Doubletree Islington is in a central position along Pentonville Road close to Angel Tube Station. The Check-in procedure wasn't impressive at all, it was quite cold and unwelcoming. We were not recognised as Diamond members and there there was no rundown of the hotel's facilities so we had to find out for ourselves. The room was fine, it wasn't spacious but had everything needed for a short stay. There were no noise issues at all from outside due to good soundproofing and not from inside either considering the hotel was full when we stayed. The bathroom was okay with good range of toiletries provided. The Executive Lounge was a nice space and when we visited during the day there next to nothing available so we didn't stay for long and didn't make a return visit. Breakfast was good with a varied buffet selection with items being frequently replenished. The Doubletree Islington was a nice property but we felt the service we received wasn't anywhere near as good as we were expecting.…
