Good location, albeit better restaurants locally than the onsite cafe rouge. Pleasant spacious rooms which were cool despite it being a hot summers day. No external noise disturbing your sleep, clean and pleasant but with a basic, typical IBIS modular bathroom. A good solid option for the price and location but it's unlikely to wow you.

Stayed in Greenwich for two days at the Ibis . Totally brilliant. Check in and staff at Cafe Rouge where I had lunch and breakfast were uniformly excellent. Room was immaculate, tv, hair dryer, coffee/ teamaker and Wifi. Spotless, hot water, towels and a comfy bed. On a scale if 1-10 this was a clear 10. Thank you so much.

Hotel is conveniently located in Greenwich, near good links with the City and touristy places. Room was ok at best. Shower was hot and wet, the beds comfy, all you need is there. Hotel staff are friendly and we were able to park the car on site which was a bonus.

Stayed with work colleagues May 2016. Location is good. However, check in took ages the member of staff didn't seem to know what she was doing and had to be prompted several times. The room was clean but had laminate flooring through so not very warm or cosy. Breakfast in the morning was very poor in fact I did not... More

Stayed 1 night to attend a wedding. On arrival at reception staff were very friendly. Room was on 2nd floor accessible by either stairs or lift. Large king size comfortable bed. Flat screen TV. Coffee & tea making facilities, hair dryer. Room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Good shower. No view as we overlooked a wall next door but... More

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay outside of Central London, but still near enough to reach it within twenty minutes to a half-hour, the Hotel Ibis is the place for you. The Greenwich Station (overground train) is a five-minute or less walk and the DLR station is also close by. Greenwich Park and all the... More

My wife and I booked and paid an overnight stay at this hotel months in advance to see our daughter in London and celebrate our silver wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were told by the re eptionist that there was no room available due to a large booking. There was no apology nor did the hotel attempt to contact... More

Stayed two nights in the hotel last week. The price was very competitive. My room was excellent - comfortable, clean and quiet. Staff were polite and helpful. Lots to see in the immediate vicinity, e.g., the Cutty Sark and Greenwich park with its superb views across the Thames. All told, a very pleasant experience.

Stayed for one night, staff friendly, rooms clean and beds were comfortable. Wanted to be in Greenwich for our son's graduation, so it was ideal. We drove and unfortunately that is probably why I didn't rate 'excellent' as even though the staff were helpful and knowledgeable in alternative parking,we were unable to park on site. Breakfast served the following morning... More

I booked and paid for a double room with normal bathroom. When I got there they offered a twin room with a disabled bathroom. It was completely unacceptable and we argued for ages. They said 'oh we call this a double when we are busy'! Eventually they found me a twin room with a normal bathroom. I stayed for 2... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
