As London Hotels go, The Alma is very reasonably priced. The location in South London is very convenient with an Overland train station across the street and a bus station at the door with buses that take you to the heart of London I booked last minute through the hotel website and decided to splurge for a one-night booking by... They do a really mean Bloody Mary! We went to a private function on the first floor and it was excellent. The staff were polite, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The private bar upstairs was efficiently managed, We were able to order individual lunches from downstairs. Hubby and I had fish and chips and the fish was excellent,... More

We did not overnight, but thoroughly enjoyed a private function in the bar and upstairs in the more personal surroundings of the Alma's Bramford Room. The staff were polite, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The private bar upstairs was efficiently managed, sadly lacking the usual Youngs' beers but obviously available downstairs. Great burgers too. Love the traditional format... More

Very conveniently located across the street from the Wandworth Town underground stop. It is easy to get trains from there to any part of London. The hotel is very cosy and quiet. Our room was right above the entrance and near the stairs, but we rarely heard foot traffic or other guests. The room was very comfortable and had nice... More

Very good place with good facilities like a flower shop, for the romantic amongst us. Train station very nearby. The crew makes the best out of everything. Bedcomfort is good.. Breakfast is of superb quality and with good personal care. To be repeated, we'll come back.

Just a few Friday beers but pleasantly surprised. This is the most traditional London pub I've been in for years. Not a tourist trap, a pub. It even has traditional skittles! A real friendly atmosphere, if it's aimed at locals it didn't feel like it. Well worth a visit.

Lovely decor, really boutique style room, massive bathroom and great shower. Lots of helpful freebies in the room which was a nice touch. The location is great. Breakfast in the morning was super, proper coffee and made to order breakfast. Highly recommend.

Stayed here last week whilst in London for the men's semi finals of Wimbledon. Can not recommend this place enough, beautifully decorated, great little luxury touches and amazing food. Thank you for a great stay, can not wait to return.

This hotel is literally opposite Wandsworth Town train station. The exterior of the hotel does not do this hotel any favours and this is a perfect example of not judging a book by its cover. There was initially a bit of a mix up with my booking but I have rarely encountered such helpful staff and the problem was resolved... More

I have stayed here on two occasions, and have had an excellent experience both times. The boutique hotel rooms are an extension of the Young's pub with the same name. The pub is very-well looked after, serves very good food, and has a lively and friendy buzz to it on a Friday evening. Staff are excellent. The rooms are very... More
