Friendly staff, ideal location for Hyde Park Concerts, easy walking distance from Knightsbridge Underground. I paid £150 per night for deluxe double room. Other hotels in the immediate location are £350 plus. The hotel is tired and would need serious money spending to refurb but the bed was comfy and the sheets were clean. The shower was adequate but unimpressive,... More

The room resembled that of your aunties spare room tarted up with hundreds of cushions from the nearest bargain basement store.. a sleepless night due to the rattling of the ancient air con unit that did nothing but rattle as did the fridge, attempted to open the window which required opening a big sliding door type window then climbing to... Due to a last minute change in our plans it was necessary to book a last minute hotel. This place is in a pretty sad condition. Rundown, dirty, bug bites from the bed, leftover garbage in the garbage can etc. There is absolutely no way this is a 4 or 5 star hotel. The real problem...WAY OVERPRICED! They changed the... More

Avoid at all costs. Ripped stair carpets, dirty, overpriced. Breakfast served in room .....bowl of cornflakes with the milk already poured on. Rip off, tatty furniture, stained bath, holes in the wall, doggy plugs. Lift on its last legs and card machine not working so had to go to cash machine.

1. The bedroom windows in the children's room had NO LOCK. A complete safety issue.5th floor up. 2. The bedroom door had no lock. We had to place a side table against it when we napped in the afternoon. 3. The children woke up from their 45 mins nap covered in small insect bites from the sheets. 4. The bathrooms... More

This is one hotel that can claim to have the best staff but sadly the rooms while spacious are outdated and is not worth the price tag. The credit card machine was out of order! This is a problem for anyone who don't carry cash and travel using business cards. Rooms facing the road were subjected to road resurfacing the... More

Less than two minutes walk from the tube station, this Hotel is excellently placed. We were visiting London to go to the Chelsea Flower Show and could not have picked a better position for our budget. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable and well decorated (basket of chocolates and a well stocked fridge in the kitchen).... More

Great location. Awful hotel. Uncomfortable, poor poor breakfast, noisy and run down. This hotel seriously needs a revamp. The breakfast consisted of a cold croissant on a tray with a pot of yoghurt and some stewed tea. I stayed with my mum on a shopping trip and it almost ruined it. Not impressed.

Staying in Knightsbridge

Neighborhood Profile
Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
One of the few remaining independent, boutique hotels, traditional in style in a historically important Victorian building which dates back to 1890. The Knightsbridge Green Hotel is perfectly located in exclusive Knightsbridge, with Harrods, Harvey Nichols and other exceptional shopping, plus The Royal Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens on the doorstep. We enjoy a truly international business and leisure clientele. Indeed, with a number of public transport services available close by, from double decker buses to Knightsbridge tube/subway, travel arrangements literally open up the City for trips to the City centre,Theatreland and top tourist attractions such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament,London Eye and Tower of London, to name a few. Open top bus tours can be arranged to thirty two tourist attractions and we highly recommend touring by cruising the River Thames along to The Tower of London and Greenwich. International visitors will be pleased to note Victoria station for connections to London Gatwick is just a five minute drive away and we are well positioned for car transfers to London Heathrow International airport.
