My 24-year-old daughter and I had a fantastic, week-long,mother/daughter trip, in part because of staying in this hotel. We arrived before check-in and left our luggage to walk a short distance to the train station to purchase our travel cards for the week. Yes, it was in very easy walking distance. Also, there were two bus stops just outside the hotel as well. It was also a short trip by bus and/or train to lots of the places we wanted to go and had no problems. The room was ample size for us, with two twin beds and a bathroom. The only complaint we could have had about the furnishings was that there was no dresser, so we hung up what we could and lived out of suitcases for the rest. No big deal. The only other problem we had was that the room was too hot. We had turned off the heating control unit on the wall and mentioned that we wanted sheets for the beds rather than just the heavy blankets. (It was winter time.) The manager came to our room with the sheets, but also noted that there was another heating unit in the room. Once he turned that off, it was perfect! The free breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I had eggs, sausage, beans and more each morning. My daughter selected yogurt and fruit. Also, the croissants were made fresh each morning. One morning we had to leave for an excursion before breakfast was served, but the desk staff packed us up four croissants and tea and coffee before we left. On our last day, we checked out early so we could do last minute shopping. Again, they stored our luggage securely until we returned for our taxi to the airport. While we originally thought we wanted to stay in a "British" hotel, I'm glad we chose this location and property. They were very accommodating. We'd go back there again.…
Was at London for 2 weeks during February and on our very last day our rental car park in the meter spot was windows was smashed personal item was stolen from the boot. Suggest to park within the hotel premises The Hotel itself was fine just beware of the neighbourhood
Nice enough hotel but there is no hot water at peak times and the Aircon on the bottom 4 floors does not cool, only heat so if you like a cooler bedroom then not for you. I stay here a lot and I have learned when to shower and to ask for a room on the top floor. Staff are nice enough. If you are someone who turns up late check in on the phone as they save the worst rooms till last and you will end up roadside (10m) on the ground floor. Right on the 88 bus route. Hope this helps.
I stayed here mid week whilst on a business trip. Its a 10 minute walk from the tube station and there are a few restaurants near by. I received a friendly welcome and was given a room on the 1st floor. Room was basic but had everything I needed, heating was good and the room warmed up quickly. There was a good choice of hot and cold food and drinks at breakfast. My room was on the main road so I'd you're a light sleeper ask for a room at the back of the hotel. Overall a good stay.
This hotel is close to the tube and bus routes. It’s easy to find, with the bonus of a car park (which you must book in advance). The hotel is very clean and bright. The room was nicely furnished with the usual safe, tv etc. The bedding was immaculate and the pillows were fluffy! We had a great nights sleep too. Breakfast was the buffet type and there was plenty to go round! A great little place to rest your head after a long day in London.
