Arrived mid afternoon. Housekeeping came to room to make up sofa bed + we advised we were literally turning round to go back out once changed so asked them to come back later, advising them we would be out till late so no rush to do bed if busy. Arrived back late evening + sofa bed had not been made up, spoke to reception who basically accused of turning housekeeping away earlier so own fault bed not made up, given sheets + told to do ourselves! Pull out had no pillows + when asking reception told they should be there + if not the dont have spare! Room overly hot, had window open AND fan on in fact whole hotel overly hot. Buffer breakfast disappointing. All in all not a great stay + would not use again
Pimlico is probably one of the best London areas combining proximity to the busy city center, with a suburban relaxed feeling and many options to dine and shop conveniently, ideally suited for business or leisure trips to one of the best cities of the world. The hotel is located in a street full with renovated urban domiciles of the past converted to hotels and offers the right combination of function and convenience for travellers that want a reasonable accommodation without the extravaganza of luxury illusions or the risk of unknown origin establishments. All in all it provides a very decent experience in terms of the available facilities (rooms, common spaces and breakfast), strongly enhanced by the professionalism and friendliness of the hotel staff that add very positively to the total package. Big plus, the 300 m distance from Pimlico Tube station, a minus in the room sizes but this is the center of a European city and not Las Vegas. Will certainly stay again.…
We stayed at the hotel for 1 night, we were checked in by Chai who was very friendly and polite. The location of the hotel was great with transport near by, the tube was just a few minutes walk and this took us to all the tourist destinations in less than 15 minutes. The car park is also a short walk from the hotel and a reasonable price for the location. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was also very tasty with a variety of options including the option to take away. Great value for money!
Nice enough hotel, clean comfortable room, apart from the window. Was lovely untill 7.15am as the room is next to the breakfast room. The clattering and banging about it totally unacceptable. It should be offered only to buisness people who wish to up and out early. But as we had been to see wicked at the theatre and had a late night it totally ruined the stay. Staff friendly enough, good location. But the early morning noise spoilt it.
Spent two nights in this hotel and I'm completely satisfied with my stay. Wonderful staff. Thank's Maria (the receptionist) for your warm wellcome and thank's also to the night receptionist that help me to get a anniversary cake to my wife's birthday at 11pm. Thank you all. The breakfast is quite good (included) and the staff is very nice always with "genuine smiles" in their faces. The rooms are not very big but comfy and quiet enough for a good and restful night sleep. In summary, for all the reasons above, I definitly recommend this hotel to your next London trip if you go "on a budget". Ah! And its realy very close to the Pimlico tube station (5 min) or Victoria Station (10min).
