Nestled in the prestigious Knightsbridge area, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London is lauded for its exceptional location, perfect for guests keen to indulge in shopping and local sightseeing. The hotel's rooms, celebrated for their chic decor and comfort, are occasionally criticized for noise concerns.
While the staff's impeccable service garners high praise, opinions on value for money are mixed, with some guests feeling the cost outweighs the benefits. Nonetheless, the hotel's luxurious ambiance, cleanliness, and top-notch amenities like the tranquil spa and garden, ensure a memorable experience for many.

One of the best hotels I have every stayed in, Truly service at it utmost best, I can go on and on about this hotel, The staff is so extremely professional, They all greet you with a big smile and your name, There was a small mistake regarding our room not being finished at 15.30 when checking in, But they made up with it such an amazing and professional way, We got upgraded to a lovely room with view over Hyde Park with an amazing balcony, Also they send us amazing tasty cakes and tarts and a bottle of wine, Also they kept asking if everything was ok, Even got a call from the duty manager, I never experienced anything like this. They have an whatsapp number you can message and they literally reply within 1 minute, They even wanted to change my old pound notes for me, What a level of service!! Breakfast is amazing, The only thing what I would say is skip the buffet and only offer ala carte to your guests, As the breakfast room is too small and it gives a “cheap” hotel feel with people standing in line to get something from the buffet ( although it’s tasty).
I made a comment one evening to the concierge about the smell I loved so much in the hotel and asked them which smell it was, When I came back to the hotel after dinner they had placed a gift in the room with the perfume they used in the hotel with a little handwritten card, I really felt touched by this it really warmed my heart.
The rooms have everything you need, They even place hand cream every evening next to your bed, All products are from Diptique ( love) also they place a little cloth for cleaning your glasses ( luxury at it’s best) and the rooms are modern and extremely clean, They even place your vanity products nicely and sorted ( love these little things)
The spa is WOW!! Only thing is that ladies and gents are separate, So I couldn’t spend time with my fiancé while in the spa .
I don’t even need to say anything about the location because it’s the best of the best, Also the afternoon tea is splendid.
Just in one word: FANTASTIC, Don’t even think twice and book this, I know it’s really pricey but trust me, I don’t say this often.. It’s SO worth it.

This was the most amazing place I stayed during my 16 days trip to Europe and London. The staff were just so attentive and always go the extra mile to make our stay as pleasant and luxurious as possible. They even helped to mail out my tax refund letters when I was just asking where was the nearest mailbox, provided me with drinks when I was just chilling at the seats waiting for my family to come back, rearranged my entire room so neatly, tied my phone charger cables.
The room was fantastic, beautiful, and the mini bar is just out of the world amazing.
I have been spoiled big time here, cant imagine settling in any other hotel anymore.

We have stayed at Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park several times, and we used to really like it; it was our favorite 5-star hotel in London. However, our most recent visit left us disappointed. We checked in for three nights and were placed on the 2nd floor. On the first evening, we noticed that in the adjacent wing of the hotel on the 2nd floor, there were suitcases in the hallway and people sitting around, mostly women. The same situation occurred the following morning and evening. Moreover, on the next evening, when we came out of the elevator, we saw a set table in the elevator lobby, and a woman was sitting there eating. In the hallway! Having dinner! We were shocked. Additionally, the number of suitcases in the hallway had increased; there were now about 15 or more. Women in abayas were sitting on the hallway floor. These women were laughing so loudly in the corridor at 1 AM that they woke me up through my earplugs. There were also large boxes of garbage in plain view in the corridor. I immediately called the reception, and they said they didn’t know anything about it and hadn’t seen anything. They later called back and informed us that some guest had arrived with a security team. I don't care who arrived, but why is the hallway cluttered with suitcases? And why are women sitting in the hallway at all hours (including on the floor)? How can the hotel not know about this chaos in its corridors? How can the hotel not know about the set table in the hallway? Didn't the hotel set it up? How can a 5-star hotel lower its standards to those of a train station motel with suitcases and people on the floor and do nothing about it? After my complaint, we were moved to another floor the next morning, but this did not improve our impression of the hotel. Guests behave as they please, creating disorder and crowds in public spaces, turning the hotel into a station hostel, and the hotel allows it. The hotel doesn't care that other guests, who paid a considerable amount for 5-star service, are witnessing this chaos in the hallway near their rooms. The hotel did nothing about this mess, these suitcases in the hallway, and the women sitting on the floor in the hallway for more than 2 days. Later, we were moved, and I don’t know how long these suitcases and women stayed in the hallway. The hotel itself lowered its standards: allowing the corridor to become a suitcase storage area, allowing guests to sit on the floor in the hallway, allowing dining at a set table in the elevator lobby! Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park has disappointed us with its attitude towards itself and its guests. We will not return.

Dear EkaterinaZ11, I am writing to express our deepest apologies for the experience you had during your recent stay at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. Your feedback is invaluable, and I am truly sorry for the inconvenience and discomfort you encountered. Reading your account of the situation on the second floor, I am both saddened and embarrassed that we failed to provide the serene and luxurious environment you expected. The image of suitcases cluttering the hallway, guests dining in public spaces, and disturbances late into the night is completely unacceptable and falls far short of our standards. I cannot imagine how frustrating and upsetting it must have been for you to endure such chaos, especially in a place where you should feel pampered and at peace. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities, and it is clear that we let you down. For that, I am profoundly sorry. Please know that we are taking your feedback very seriously. We have addressed these issues to ensure that such disturbances do not happen again. Our goal is to provide a tranquil and impeccable experience for all our guests, and we regret that we failed to deliver this during your stay. I have also reached out to you directly via email to further address your concerns and discuss how we can make amends. Your loyalty and satisfaction mean the world to us, and we genuinely hope to have the opportunity to restore your faith in us. Once again, I am deeply sorry for the inconvenience you experienced and thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We are committed to learning from this and improving our services for all our guests. Warmest regards, Sebastian Knoerr Director of Rooms

We were delighted to come to London to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday.
However, we had the first problem with our dogs when we arrived, as it was not clear that they only accept dogs up to 10kg. This was solved brilliantly and quickly corrected.
After checking into the room, we discovered that the room actually had no natural light and instead of the "city view" we had booked, we had a view of a wall. We complained about this. However, there was no other room in the same category or a possible upgrade, which should have been possible with the Amex rate, available. So we were offered a triple upgrade to a suite for 2,000 pounds extra instead of 3,000 pounds. We declined!
Our rate included a classic continental breakfast. However, egg dishes had to be paid for separately, which we found very petty when you pay more than 1,100 pounds. Pounds and this seems completely normal in other hotels and hotel groups of this standard (5*+).
Basically, many of the staff are very friendly, really try hard and our dogs were obviously a highlight for many of them (perhaps the policy should be reconsidered because the size of a dog has nothing to do with its training - it's actually the other way around and the small dogs are the more noticeable...).
We would particularly like to highlight a gentleman from the restaurant in the breakfast service who really lives service and the concierge who helped us on the day of my wife's birthday.
What we found a shame was that we had said several times that it was my wife's birthday and NOTHING happened on the part of the hotel... no candle, no little cake - NOTHING! You can't expect that, but in a 5-star+ hotel all employees should be trained to react to it... but well, you can't expect it... hotels in the Oetker Group, the Breidenbacherhof, the Bayerischer Hof, hotels in the Six Senses Group have already reacted accordingly...
It's a shame if our guests share this, whom we had specifically encouraged to book a room (room 904, room 214) and who were also your guests because of our celebration

The reception was unfriendly, disorganized and lengthy. The service in both restaurants (afternoon tea & breakfast) was slow, inattentive and completely overwhelmed. One morning with two small children we were even told that there was unfortunately no room for the four of us (mind you, we were in a junior suite including breakfast and one hour before the buffet officially closed). I then lost control and explained to the lady clearly that I would not accept arguments such as the Christmas weekend and too few staff and that I wanted to speak to the manager immediately if she did not find a solution immediately. After a long discussion with her we were given a seat. There were also several free tables in the room. Absolute disgrace. The room service (chicken tikka, pizza margherita, nasi goreng) was bad - the pizza was inedible. We ordered in the afternoon around 4 p.m. The only thing that went well, albeit quite expensive, was the organization of the babysitting service. The city guide organized by the hotel was almost an hour late, so we had to cancel. They still wanted to charge us for it... The room had no view. The spa was OK. We extended the weekend in London and moved with both children to the St. James in Mayfair - more child-friendly and better organized.

Came for a mom/daughter get away. The hotel feels indulgent with a very high level of hospitality. The afternoon tea should not be missed. The room was spacious. It was also very quiet considering we were on a low floor, we heard no noise around or above us. Everyone from the doormen, to check in ,to the restaurant was very friendly and accommodating . The neighborhood was lovely as well

Very impressed with the level of service from all MO staffs to the hotel doorman. Also amazed with the changing of daily room slippers. Chamber maids were very detailed in their cleaning, even my charging wires were wrapped up properly with MO velcro tape. Overall amazing experience staying at MO. Thank you.

I came from Liverpool to London to meet up with my son who was coming from Paris. I hadn’t seen him in 5 long months and so this was to be a special reunion. I struggled to find the hotel but the lovely Maria kindly sent me instructions which were excellent. On arrival , I was greeted with a lovely smile and warm welcome from Maria and shown to my room to await my son. The room was superb. A very comfortable bed with quality linens and towels and a lovely kitchen/ seating area and all spotlessly clean. There was water and milk in the fridge and wine at £15 a bottle to buy which was very reasonable. I highly recommend the Rosebury. It is in a lovely area with lots of great restaurants nearby and Exmouth Market. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

I stayed here with my daughter as a treat ahead of her wedding at Easter. We also went to Twickenham to watch the rugby. From the moment we entered the hotel we were treated like VIP's with an incredible attention to detail and a service standard I have only experienced in the far east and certainly never in London. In addition to significant room upgrades they had arranged champagne and strawberries in each of our bedrooms as well as framed photos of us and official England rugby shirts, scarves and hats! Every single member of staff was so friendly and well trained with the answer always being "yes"! We dined at Heston's Dinner which was a similarly great experience. Even as we left the hotel on Sunday afternoon, the gentlemen on the door asked us if we had enjoyed the rugby yesterday and wished my daughter a lovely wedding - how did he remember!! I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again.
