A Modern Classic in the Heart of the Action. With its history of literature, philosophy and the arts, Bloomsbury is the central London sanctuary that inspires creative thought. My Bloomsbury is designed to do the same. Serene contemporary design guestrooms, comfortable hot desks and fine gastronomy give you a personal hub that is welcoming, laid back and easy. And with Soho, Oxford St. and Covent Garden just a stroll away; and trains from Euston and King’s Cross close too – the location is perfect.

Booked a superior double room costing £266 and on arrival myself and my partner were given a room that didn’t right for a superior room. I decided to go back down to the reception to ask what the room was classed as, the man behind the reception said that it was a double room, also stating that there were no superior rooms left even though I had one reserved. The man clearly never thought to tell me on arrival that my room was taken and just decided to put me in any room available and worst yet still charge me for a superior double room. Not idea at all the room was small and the service from staff was shocking to say the least, would not recommend.

The hotel is in a great location and you can easily walk to Oxford Street, Convent Garden, Leicester Square etc. The staff were very friendly and we were able to leave our suitcase prior to checking in and after we checked out. The rooms were very nice, with the added benefit of Aircon. The only downside is that they do not have any family rooms so we had to book 2 bedrooms and none of their rooms are interconnecting. Other than that, it was a great stay. Thank you

Stayed for one night for our anniversary. We had a fantastic room, with our own balcony which was wonderful on a hot sunny day. The room had great aircon which we needed desperately! The hotel knew it was our anniversary and left a lovely note with some cakes, which was a nice touch. Room was lovely and clean and the toiletries smelt gorgeous! Reception were really lovely. Nice pub right on the corner which did a great club sandwich. Yes there are building works going on which is irritating, but once in the hotel and in our room we couldn't hear it at all. And they didn't start until 8am and had finished by 4.30pm so this wasn't an issue at all. An unusual door entry with the keypad, but as long as I had my glasses on and could see what I was doing, it wasn't an issue. It worked every time so that was good! Thanks for a great stay.

While there was construction across the road from the hotel, they were very respectful and did not start until 8 AM daily. Nice rooms, great location, helpful staff and delicious bakery attached. We appreciated being in walking distance to Covent Garden, Soho and Oxford Street, as well at the tube.

I have stayed at this hotel before and really liked it, but that was a couple of years ago. This stay was really terrible. First some positive, the location is great and staff are friendly. I am sorry to say but those are the only two positive things I can come up with. The room itself is very tiny with a double bed that is not much larger than a single sized bed, the bed was also extremely soft. The carpet in the room had stains all over it and the first thing we had to ask for was toilet paper because there were none. There was no wardrobe only to hangers behind a mirror in the tiny hall. There were only one bedside table and the bathroom had a door with a window so that you could see your friend take a shower or sit on the toilet, so no privacy there. The so called city view we were promised were to a construction site which started to work at 7 am in the morning, so forget about sleeping in. They told us that the room was soundproof which it is not! You could here people walking and taking in the corridor outside the room and on the streets outside. Considering what you have to pay for a room here I would accept much more!

So after seeing this hotel online it looked very pleasent and the photos looked appealing so I wasn't worried and thought id bagged myself a real winner. We arrive and the staff were super helpful, we were excited to see our room after seeing the photos and unfortunately it was a bit of a let down, the room was "nice" but not £230 odd quid nice, pretty small and barely any surface for us to put anything, no desk/cabinet/side tables.. just one tiny chair in the corner of the room with one bedside table. The kettle, teas and coffees rested on top of the mini fridge. I want to give some positives, the room was clean, the bed was comfy and in the high July heat the air con worked amazing! The bathroom was also clean but again nowhere to put toiletries, no shelf or cabinet so we had to just rest our toiletries on the edge of the tiny sink. All in all it was a nice hotel but I won't be raving about it to others, I definitely think it's overpriced for what you actually get. The photos are pretty misleading in my eyes. The rooms are small and lack some pretty fundamental bits of furniture like bedside tables etc.. I'd give it 3 stars at best.

Hotel did not warn my partner about building site next door- literally loud drilling from 8am each morning! Good location is the only thing it has going for it. The day time reception staff seemed annoyed we were there lol! Why work in a front of house role if you clearly hate people?! Night time guy was nice at least he smiled. Room was really small but the worst bit was the glass bathroom door. If you were anywhere in the room the mirror on the back of the door reflected from the bathroom so we could see each other on the toilet from all angles, good job we have been together 10 years! The most annoying part was you don’t get a room key you have to put in a long code every. Single. Time. The room door, the stairway, the lift and the front door! The reception staff just sit inside and ignore you rather than open the door if you are struggling which was lovely of them. Will never stay here again or recommend. If I could give zero stars I would. Total rip off. Oh and not forgetting the staff knocking to say it’s time to check out at 9.44….check out is 12!

Excellent location but it goes down after that. The rooms are bijou and are sparkly furnished, no wardrobe only 6 hangers behind a a mirror, only one bedside table next to a double bed. The bathroom very tight and why put a glazed door on a bathroom!! There is a major redevelopment directly front of the hotel they are currently at demolition stage, so huge jack hammers on the old concrete to break it up. I know it’s not the hotels fault but the noise starts at about 8 am and goes on all day. Guess it’s a been there done that type of hotel.

Boyfriend and I checked in on 21st May and I was very disappointed to say the least The room was very basic, didn’t look like the images on website at all. There were stains all over the carpet, raw plugs hanging out of the wall, the window in the bathrooms was rotting away and the furniture was bad quality. We ended up going home and not staying the night as it was so bad. I was even told I got an upgrade to a superior room (which I was unaware of) so I hate to see what a standard room is. I have tried to contact the hotel but have received no response at all. Definitely don’t waste your money by staying here, I have received no money back even though we didn’t actually stay, and it wasn’t cheap! Not ideal in cost of living crisis when people save up to stay places like this. The staff were helpful but the hotel was not nice at all.
