I can't get enough of this beautiful hotel! From the moment you walk in, it's like stepping back in time. The decor is amazing and the service is wonderful. I've stayed three times and each stay was in a different room. The beds in each...More
This charming hotel has books not just in the comfortable library but scattered throughout the hotel, in the rooms, on an antique table in the hall, on the window ledges. I enjoyed reading the Agatha Christie novel I found in the selection in our room....More
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Rookery - only one night but would definitely return. It is charming, very authentic and like stepping back into London's history. Our superior room was very comfortable, individually furnished with antiques, and surprisingly quiet considering it overlooked the...More
Just wonderful. It has been some time since I've been there, but is just wonderful. The room I stayed in is one highlighted on their website. Close to a tube stop and nearby places to eat and pubs. Off the beaten path of the more...More

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky
models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
I don' think the hotel has a designated parking area, but I am sure you can check on the internet for parking garages in the area (Smithfield Market). Of course the parking may cost more than the room!
