Strange place, all the rooms are apparently individually furnished - but there's far too much furniture in the rooms which appear crowded and dim. I don't know why there were so many missing lightbulbs. No shower, and the bath was best sized to a midget. Breakfast was left outside the door. Breakfast - Ultra small glass of orange juice, cereal,... More

Breakfast was quite substantial if you like that sort of thing...croissant, muffin and cereal with a carton of milk, but me and my husband would have preferred a choice -something healthier. The room was quite small and dark, (enter the dragon room ) and the shower and toilet room even more so, but we managed ok, in fact the shower... More

This hotel has many rooms all with an alleged theme. We stayed in the Funky Zebra room one presumes so named for the zebra patterned carpet. It was very small and consisted of a bizarre eclectic mix of odd furniture/furnishings. On arrival we noted missing light bulbs and a plug in fan which travelled across any surface it was placed... If you look for a cheap hotel, good location near a tube station, not sharing the bed room with strange people, no sharing bath room for a short vacation, the hotel is a good choice. It’s not a luxury hotel (think of the money you pay), but it’s clean. Each of the small rooms is decorated in a different style,... More

Bathrooms were on the small side. I also expected complimentary shower soap and shampoo. I would also like the breakfast to be more on the healthy and intersting side. How about serving fresh fruit with muesli and yogurt as an option? Otherwise friendly and accomadating service. Great location with a short walk to Hyde Park, tube station and some nice... More

If this review was about a museum, I would definately give it five stars. When arriving and checking in, it feels like you are checking into someone's apartment. Very nice staff, interesting vintage furniture and interior - but half an hour is enough, at least for me - especially after checking into your room. As I understand it, every room... More

While packing for another trip I found my little notebook from my stay at this property. It contains a list of complaints. 1.) Stained Covers 2.) No mattress pad just a sheet over a plastic covered spring bulging mattress. 3.) No toiletries and no tissues. 4.) Only 5 Channels that came in poorly on the TV. 6.) Poor lighting and... More

Although it's located in a nice area, there is no connection between the way the hotel presents itself and reality. The rooms are musty and very cramped. There was also no elevator. Why they talk about rock and roll and music is beyond me because the connection begins and ends with the names on the door. The "free" breakfast was... More

The décor is definitely interesting, the location is excellent and the staff on the day were helpful. HOWEVER - the shower in my en suite room didn't have hot water and the alternative shower (up a flight of stairs) was shoddy, very weak and uncomfortable. I paid for an en suite room and didn't get one. I contacted the hotel... More
