Firmdale Hotels in the hotel chain for London, all their hotels are wonderful, charming and cozy. This one in particular i think has the best location, in the heart of London just across London's best coffee shop. The only complaint i had was with the bathroom, it did not have a shower, so the shower was placed in the bathtub,... More

Great location, easy to get to most major attractions - Theatre District, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. Surprisingly quiet inside with nice size room. The food is not great, but that's London in general. Definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again. Very helpful concierge and friendly staff at restaurant.

When I visiting London - especially for a leisure stay - I'm wanting a superbly located hotel with a splash of personality, comfortably stylish rooms and staff who are friendly but professional. A good bar/restaurant with just the right mix of casual but refined food and service. You get the complete package here. I would stay here every time if... More

We spent 6 wonderful nights in a Junior Suite and enjoyed every moment. There were 3 of us (mom and 2 teens) and we had plenty of drawer and closet space. The bathroom was huge-twin sinks, shower, separate tub, great lighting and even a wonderful magnifying mirror for my aging eyes. The pull out sofa had a very firm mattress-so... More

We stumbled upon this hotel purely because we fancied an early evening drink after a long walk and there was a free table outside. Hubby had a glass of wine and me a prosecco and raspberry purée cocktail - well two actually! It was a lovely way to while away an hour or so, watching the world go by.

Everything about this hotel blew me away. The room, the staff, the location, the decor, the friendliness, everything. The hotel staff was more than happy to oblige us to anything we needed and gave recommendations for the surrounding area. You rarely find a hotel staff like that anywhere. It almost felt like I was staying with someone I knew, rather... More

I love this place. Its beautifully appointed , in a fantastic location, service is spot on, food and drinks are delivered to a high standard. You are right in the heart of the West End but wouldn't know it once you go inside. I would highly recommend.

We recently spent three nights at the Covent Garden Hotel. It was really lovely. We appreciated the slightly off the beaten path location in a great area, the beautiful decor in the restaurant, lobby, drawing room and library, and the quiet and comfort of our deluxe room. It was a pleasure to wake up here and to watch the streets... More

Truly one of the best hotels I've had the privilege to visit in London. Staff are extremely nice and service-oriented to everyone regardless of country of origin. Impeccable breakfast and turndown service. Fantastic location. Wealthy but understated clientele of mostly young families. My room was a deluxe double facing Shaftesbury Street and was a very quiet room. I didn't hear... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
