Truly one of the best hotels I've had the privilege to visit in London. Staff are extremely nice and service-oriented to everyone regardless of country of origin. Impeccable breakfast and turndown service. Fantastic location. Wealthy but understated clientele of mostly young families. My room was a deluxe double facing Shaftesbury Street and was a very quiet room. I didn't hear... More

Excellent service, great location, comfortable surroundings. So convenient to theatres, shopping, museums. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable , can sometimes obtain tickets at short notice. The restaurant is cozy, and has great food.

Took clients here for the third time now. Great service and a newer menu since last time, so good I struggled to decide. Food was swiftly served by friendly staff. Wine could have been colder and we'd have ordered another bottle but struggled to get attention from them. Will be back as great value, good food - just colder wine... More

This really is a great place. We just stopped in for lunch on the hottest day of the year. Great British service, old style, great food and great surroundings. Could not ask for a better place to enjoy real British hospitality. Servers were perfect.

I had the great pleasure of staying at Covent Garden Hotel for two nights. I was in London for work and the Covent Garden area is well placed for my purposes in that respect. But staying in that hotel made it feel as if I were not simply in London for business but actually part of it because it really... More

My family and I have just spent one night at this hotel over the past weekend. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and found it very comfortable. Along with the two bedrooms it also had two bathrooms and a small balcony area. We were very impressed how they catered for our younger children-one of whom is 3 yrs old.... More

I recently arranged an overnight stay at the Covent Garden Hotel as part of my wife's birthday celebrations. On arrival we were upgraded to a fantastic loft suite and this enhanced our visit. Location of the hotel is excellent and the staff outstanding, with a special mention to those in reception, the bar and restaurant. We had a superb dinner... More

To me, this is close to the prefect hotel you would expect in London. Location is great if you like Covent Garden of course. The hotel is extremely tastefully decorated and very well kept, restaurant is excellent, if you have time to kill the drawing room is amazing. The room is also good for business appointments, very calm. The least... More

I've stayed here before, and this hotel is now my favorite in London. It has a large, and beautiful, library with two huge fireplaces, and period art and decorations. It's perfect for relaxing with a paper or a book and is open 24/7. There's an honor bar with top tier beverages and snacks. The restaurant is excellent, so please enjoy... More

We just completed a two night stay in two connecting rooms; Four Poster and a Luxury Room. The rooms were large and well decorated. I did not like the location overlooking Shaftesbury Avenue on the 1st floor, as I would prefer to overlook Monmouth street (more quiet side). The service was excellent, and the breakfast was great. It is worth... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Covent Garden Hotel opened in April 1996 but the building dates back to the 1890’s when it operated as a French hospital. It is located in Monmouth Street, a charming cobbled street in the heart of the theatre district and surrounded by interesting boutiques, restaurants, cafes and bars. Covent Garden Hotel is "a quirky modern take on traditional English style." The hotel's interior has been dramatically designed by owner and design director Kit Kemp, and reflects her personal attention to detail. The ground floor is just like a stage set. A quietly bustling lobby leads into Brasserie Max, the hotel’s bar and restaurant. Up a sweeping stone staircase and into a sumptuous wood paneled drawing room and library, each with a log burning fireplace, quirky furniture and vivid upholstery. Downstairs there is a gym, private event space and a screening room. ... more   less
