We enjoyed four memorable nights at Aster House, a beautiful B&B, on a quiet, pretty street. The location is great (a couple blocks from South Kensington tube stop) near museums and restaurants. Leonnie is a fabulous manager, always around, making sure you have directions you need and can access the easiest and most cost effective transportation. She made our stay... More

I stayed at Aster House for 15 nights and it was fabulous. The streetscape was divine, row of gorgeous white Georgian houses, 2 blocks from South Kensington tube station. The South Ken. tube services 3 lines which makes travel so easy. Leonie who owns Aster House is an absolute gem from the moment I arrived she made sure all went... More

Aster House is extremely well situated near the South Kensington Station Underground and walking distance to the Natural History Museum, Science Museum, and Brompton Road (Harrods and other great shopping). The room we were in was lovely with a nice garden view. Very quiet street but a very short walk to the underground where you can get anywhere you want... More

The staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Breakfast is included and is quite nice. The hotel is very clean and quiet in a wonderful neighborhood. Bed & bedding was comfy too. The hotel is close to Kensingston Palace and many shops/restaurants. Will be staying here again in the future.

I love staying at the Aster House when I travel to London. I have stayed in the single room and the double room. Both rooms are ensuite and are clean, comfortable and quiet. The hospitality is fantastic. The location is a short walk to the South Kensington tube station and nearby museums. Great breakfast every morning in the conservatory. The... More

Gem of a place to stay in South Kensington. We stayed in a standard double room with en-suite bathroom which was plenty of room for the two of us for six nights. We had a view into the garden out back in room #2 which added a special touch to our stay. Location couldn't be better with multiple restaurants in... More

This charming B & B is in a great location for transportation via the Tube to other areas of London or to enjoy the South Kensington neighborhood. We walked to the V & A museum, restaurants, pubs, grocery store, and the Royal Albert Hall. The breakfast was a buffet spread of eggs, beans, cheeses, meats, fruits (dried and fresh), breads,... We couldn't have asked for more with the Aster House. The hospitality was wonderful and location was even better. Just a short walk to the South Kensington Tube and easy access to neighborhood bars and pubs. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. We loved that the breakfast was very traditional!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighborhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
